Assume a game where hero powers can't be used. You have unlocked all cards. You'll play in a series of 9 players, each with their own class. You'll play all opponents 2 times. You get first draft, which class would/should you choose?
Feel free to answer the thread question and ignoring the hypothetical if you want, but remember that it is not a question of which is the best class.
I think I would go for Paladin. To me it is fun and after TGT really strong. (o.k., right before there were eboladin. but I am more a midrange Pala-Fan). My Version doesnt need the hero power to much.

That's interesting... I always saw mid-range pally as being very dependant on hero power, what cards would you replace (or have replaced) from a classic mid-range pala deck?
Answering the threads question, I believe that Druid has the best cards. This is mainly due to the Choose one mechanic, which makes the class flexible based on the situation they're facing + now they have cards with beast synergy + the best combo in the game (made purely with class cards).
As for your question, I'd pick Rogue for obvious reasons.

If you go to your collection and just look and just look at the cards in each class, you'll realize mage has very few unplayable cards. But please, go ahead and try to use Savagery.

If you combine it with Bite, Claw or even Savage Combatant it's pretty good. You can even use it with your hero power. I didn't say all of class cards are excellent but in some classes you have to include more cards in a deck to make it diverse, while druids can do it with only 1 card (e.g. use silence or deal 2 damage with only 1 minion)...

This topic's restriction is NO hero powers. So no Savage Combatant and hero power. Combo with Bite is decent, but it's 4+4 for 6 mana 2 cards and one is an attack, compared to Starfall or ye olde Force of Nature, this pales.

I'd say warrior, his hero power is least interactive, and armor replenish can be made with Armorsmith, Bash, Shield Block or Shieldmaiden to use that godly Shield Slam, the only card that uses armor for something. Everything else remains a normal play of a midrange/combo warrior.
Paladin by far. While other classes may have similar "big value cards" (e.g. Druid or Mage when it comes to spells), No other class has so much utility and direct interaction with their hero power and other class cards.
If all cards are unlocked and hero power isn't an option, then I would go Paladin easily. Midrange would still be an option (replacing Justicar Trueheart with Ragnaros or Onyxia and being more greedy about saving Muster for Quartermaster), but if all else failed, Eboladin would still be an option.
If the you are restricted ONLY to class cards AND can't use your hero power, I'd have a VERY hard time choosing between Paladin and Druid. I would PROBABLY go Druid if it was class cards. It would be a battle of attrition between the two, but lack of an immediate finisher on the side of the Paladin would push me more toward Druid.
I'd love to see that battle, however, if someone could craft a Druid and Paladin deck using only class cards and battle them in a BO5 and link the video!

That does seem really solid. Would you still play acolytes?

There is a lot of steak here...
If we still have warsong then warrior with patron of course. Hero power isn't needed.
