I generally keep lightning storms against them in my mulligan and try to make really aggressive lines of play against them to try to get them low enough for either a TBV play or burst once they start flooding the board. I currently have a 60% winrate against them. I know a lot of people aren't playing crackles though which I believe really hurts your chances.
always keep track of what he used already for starter..... if he hasnt used any and you see 5 secrets, brace yourself by killing the largest thing you see with a spell, that will check for redemption, avenge for sure.... you want to kill the largest because you want the avenge to be on something more managable and most large minions at one hp isnt scary, then attack with something to bait with noble sacrifice.... that's your only check.... if that doesnt activate you got 2 options left: competitive spirit, which means, wipe his board, and retribution, play a creeper or something that has deathrattle. for me its a constant state of checks.
when all else fails, start maining kezan mystics
if he start playing secrets from hand, look at the board state, figure out what he has out and what hes scare of, always consider the best triggers in his case and try to figure out what hes playing around....
one thing about pally secret is that unlike mages and hunters, they dont like sitting on their secrets on triggers they dont want happen... like they are less likely to have redemption out when they muster for battle and then drop a secret....... chances are you are looking at a redemption, avenge, noble sacrifice, or competitive spirit, now look at your board state, are you overwhelming him? if so by how much, if you just have totem on the board and a 3/5 aspirant? then you ask yourself are you holding lethal? chances are, thats probably a noble sacrifice in an attempt to kill your totem to lessen the dmg..... if you are looking at your field and it doesnt look like lethal? you are looking at a competitive spirit or avenge.... probably, like i said, its more about reading what is the best cases for them.....
I have been having trouble against them as well with totem shamen, the times I win I have used lighting storm, which is great because it won't necessarily trigger avenge if you kill everything at once, and the other trick I found is being able to get the avenge on the biggest guy and then hex. It can be tough though.
I'm having a hard time against them with my Totem Shaman at rank 4. Currently 0-4 against them.
I hate RNG
