Please vote up or comment on decks that you like or find effective. It will be very helpful for people who are looking for decks and who may not be able to evaluate their effectiveness accurately.
Hey guys, this is the thread where you can submit your own cheap, effective decks to help out the new players.
Requirements: No Naxx or BRM cards. No legendaries. I'm not going to say ZERO epics, but really even one tends to be a fairly steep dust cost for new players. Consider making another version of your deck that has good substitutes for more expensive cards.
Also, Arananthi was nice enough to go to Tempo Storm and make ultrabudget versions of all their top decks. Because there are so many of them, they are in their own thread (LINK). They are all very high-quality.
I added one that I have been toying with on an alt server where I am still building up my collection. It has been surprisingly viable (to a point) for the ultra-low dust cost of 520. I like threads like this because so many new players get turned off quickly and feel helpless in the face of endless legendaries. I also hope at some point new modes are added that test people's creativity and impose challenges/limits like a mode where no deck can be over 1,000 dust. It would breathe new life into things and bring back some fun.
Edit: You can replace the Dark Cultist with any decent 2 or 3 drop if you don't have them. The rest is all basic/classic/GvG which can be crafted ultra-cheap.
Thanks for the replies guys! Glad to see people willing to help out the new players. Remember, if you have a deck that revolves around extremely powerful Naxx/BRM cards (such as Mad Scientist or Flamewaker) please change the decklist to remove those cards and test to make sure that the deck is still viable.
The point of the [ultrabudget] tag is to distinguish it from the normal [budget] tag, which doesn't explicitly exclude Naxx and BRM cards.
Here's a 1280 dust budget mech mage. Currently sitting at rank 7 on a win streak, and there's a full breakdown if you follow it to the deck page itself:
I actually came up with a similar idea not too long ago called the Golden Cho Challenge. Your goal: Create a deck under 1600 dust (wings of naxx/brm cost 200 dust apiece). Decks are scored by neutral players who didn't participate (judges) by playing in ranked, and your score is equal to
(wins/losses)/rank = score
Lowest score wins. Each 'round' has a different class. Certain archetypes are excluded (cough face hunter patron warrior cough) to encourage creativity.
Yeah, unfortunately Deathrattle Priest is no longer viable now that Undertaker has been nerfed. I really haven't been able to come up with a good Priest deck that doesn't run at least a couple epics.
I looked at this card originally and I thought, you know, it's a card, and you play this card. The card will be that card that you play so you're playing a card. So, it is one thing to play a card. If you're opponent doesn't really have any cards, the card will screw up the card pretty hard, and that means it's a pretty good card.
Nice, this does look quite good. Do you have a rank range that you've been able to reach with this one? Priest games take too long for me to test the decks individually.
The main theme here is avoiding using Naxxramas or BRM cards, which are extremely difficult for new players to obtain without spending money. You can see there are some deck (such as my Charge Warrior) that are super cheap dustwise as well. However, it's really not likely that we will be able to create a huge number of decks that don't use Naxx, don't use BRM, don't use legendaries/epics AND also use basically no rares. If we did, they probably wouldn't be effective.
I do like your idea of tiers. If I get enough decks on here to justify it, I'll sort them in order of dust cost.
This deck got me to rank 8 in April without much effort. It's not exactly "ultrabudget" but most of the cards aren't that hard to obtain, except for theCoghammer
Noticed that there's not a good budget Shaman deck yet, so here's one to consider. The deck's 1000 dust to complete, but many of the cards are easily subbed out. All the core cards that get the deck functional are either Common or Soulbound, so it's very quick to get off the ground. The only rare that I think is invaluable is the Defender of Argus, which is fairly common between a few different decklists. It's a decent starter Aggro deck that I personally played up to rank 8 before I simply needed better cards.
Thanks for all your contributions so far, everyone! We now have a deck for every class! That doesn't mean that more submissions aren't welcome ;)
I took the advice of a previous poster (sort of) and decided to order the decks based on dust cost. The cheaper your deck is, the higher up the list it will show.
I'd like to ask anyone who's reading this to please go through the current decks and vote/comment on any decks you think look good. It will make it a lot easier for new players to evaluate the decks.
Thanks everyone, I'm impressed by the support you guys have shown so far.
Love the Shammy Deck though I still don't have defender that is what I am working on getting now. (And I will probably want to work some Fire eles in there....)
As I new player I really appreciate this thread so thanks! I did buy Naxx but will probably hold on BRM for a while.
One more thing to keep in mind is that you do tend to get a least some of these more expensive cards in decks. I found that If I take a look at which expensive cards I have (or even higher up replacements for them) and choose a class/deck based on that. This probably seems self explanatory to some, but I found it useful to think of it in that way.
I came up with two more decklists for this idea. First is a literally free Mage deck that uses nothing but Soulbound cards; actually 0 dust cost. It's reasonably effective, and I personally got to Rank 14 with it. Here's the list:
Here's a second Mage list. This particluar deck has absolutely no Rare, Epic, or Legendary cards; the total cost is 480 dust.. The accompanying text also goes a bit in depth about explaining the general strategy of the deck and includes a link to an upgraded version of the deck that uses exclusively Classic cards.
Please vote up or comment on decks that you like or find effective. It will be very helpful for people who are looking for decks and who may not be able to evaluate their effectiveness accurately.

Oh boy! I actually made a lot of these before BRM, them deleted it because no one cared about them :(
Now that someone is actually asking for it, I may retrieve them back! Thank you bro, you made my day a little better today :)
Also I recommend the tag for this just [Budget] instead of Ultrabudget, each letter counts to better research and deck title!
C'mon ppl! Make this THE Budget decks thread of the threads!

Also here is a budget SMOrc Hunter:
Note: You can replace the Naxx/BRM cards easily enough too.
This is a budget Warlock deck with zero Naxx/BRM cards:

That's a great thread to have and point to new players. Thanks for the idea and the effort!
I have some ideas to try . Maybe I can comeback other day and post some links here.
Signature !!!!
Made one for now:
Very effective Control Paladin costing only 1540 dust

Hope this helps somebody!

Fuck Dr. Boom.
I actually have something for those who buyed/grinded Naxx
Upd: Nevermind, undertaker was nerfed ages ago.
I bring life and pffffffffffffff!

Well, I think xPhallanxx argument is very relevant, and we need inquire the hearthpwners on the matter.
So I created a Pool Thread to survey the "need" of Ultrabudget decks creation HERE.

And that's about it outta me I think. This was a fun little experiment for myself, and I think some good things came out of it!
Very nice! 0 dust is probably the cheapest deck in this thread. I do like the little tutorial you wrote for the decks.
