Hi all, Jef#1526 here, top 1000 legend player every season. My goal is to find and guide you through the easiest decks that achieve the best win-rate every month. I don't have the time (or the dust) to play heavy thinking control decks which I feel is the majority of you.
September Season thoughts:
Right now, 30 card hunter is the nuts and destroying the top 500 legend. I had more success with the 30-card version as it is off-meta and everyone is countering the 40-card list now. 30 cards is a lot more consistent in cheating out your big beasts which current meta decks cannot handle.
Today's stats with 30-card version in top 1k legend:
Decklist

Budget Replacements:
In terms of legendaries:
-If you have Hydraladon your win rate will go up by 2% or 3%. Replace with a school teacher if you don't have it.
-BeastStalker Tavish is great for a comeback mechanism (explosive trap) or for winning games by forcing the opponent to duplicate your Mountain Bear (emergency manoeuvres). Replace with a school teacher if you don't have it.
-Finley gives you another way to cheat out beasts when you get a sunken saber at the bottom. It also synergises with Ambassadaor Faelin. If you don't have it, get another tracking.
Gameplan and Mulligan
Goal is to cheat out High Cost beasts as quickly as possible - that's the win condition 95% of the time. Mulligan for early drops FIRST and after you have this, keep anything that supports this win condition (e.g. pet collector).
Going first:
Mulligan hard for 1-drops: Click clocker, Peasent, Vicious Slithersphere, Iron Deep Trog
If you have one of these, you are going to try and draw your Doggie Biscuit, K9 O Tron, or Harpoon Gun.
On Coin:
More flexible. You can keep things like Pet Collector. Generally, just make sure you curve our and use all your mana (e.g. 2 x 1 drops, then a 2 drop OR 1 drop and coin 3 drop). Don't keep Peasant against races that have ping (demon hunter, mage, druid).
Good keeps: Harpoon Gun, K9 o-tron, Pet Collector. Also keep Click Clocker, Vicious and Iron Deep Trog if you can use all your mana each turn.
Gameplay:
Mentality is to curve out (use all your mana) and always do plays that further you being able to cheat out beasts (even if it means using Finley to get your Saber out next turn). Don't use Hero-power unless absolutely necessary.
