Im very excited about the new expansion and I want to share my theorycrafts in the wild format. Some of them are just meme decks and some could be more than that. Lets start with the most memey one, the Thanoslock:
Do you remember Void Contract? Me neither. Just kidding, who doesnt want to make all things balanced for the mere cost of 8 mana (or 8 health with Bloodbloom)? Fatigue is our friend and unlike Neeru decks we cant burn our win condition. I have also added a single copy of DOOM! for the lulz.
Next up we have an OTK deck, which has unlimited damage. I mean its only limited by turn timer:
The small rewards are quite helpful and the last reward is bonkers. I couldnt fit all the usual good stuff in here because we need to play overload cards, but on the other hand Im excited to play with new toys like Spirit Alpha or Charged Call.
Questlines, questlines... Lets see the paladin one, aka playing odd paladin without Baku:
Is it better than normal odd pally? Since odd pally is one of the best decks in the format right now, my answer is probably not. But I will still try this questline because I see some potential in it. As you can see I didnt include some of the odd pally staples, if you want to know my reasoning, its in the deck description.
I think we are done with the questlines... Oh wait we arent! Lets continue with machine gun priest hunter! This time we have Baku:
There is not much to say about this, since the deck basically builds itself. Im thinking about including a second Banana Buffoon instead of something like second Pen Flinger.
As you can see we are leaving the meme territory and the decks are getting more serious. So I will continue with a deck that I think is the second most powerful of my theorycrafts. You have guessed it right, its an Elwynn boar deck:
Insight tutors the boar. Shadow Visions and Thrive in the Shadows can get you Insight. Dirty Rat cant hurt you because you have Raise Dead and Twilight's Call. Mutanus cant hurt you because its too slow. I want to test a version with and without Dead Ringer. Its an excellent tutor for the boar (Im not sure if I need it) but it screws up the rez pool. Mass Dispel is for clearing taunts, but Shard of the Naaru is probably even better for this purpose. This is gonna be the first deck I will try with the new expansion.
Time for the last deck, which has the strongest 2-card opener in the game in my opinion:
Sketchy Information gets you Devilsaur Egg, so its a 3 mana 5/5. Thats already pretty good. Do you know whats even better? Preparation + Sketchy Information is a turn 1 play, without the coin that gets you a 5/5 on turn one. Pirate warrior can do better than this but it requires 3 or 4 cards to do so. Discolock has some disgusting openers but they require luck and without the coin, just from 2 cards, even they cant do better than this. So how do we make advantage of this combo? We want to play an aggressive rogue deck, but we cant play odd rogue since Prep isnt odd-costed. We also cant play Kingsbane rogue since Sketchy information could draw Kingsbane and we really dont want that. But we can play Scimitar rogue, a hyper-aggro face deck. We can still play the pirate pack and Patches. I needed to cut some cards so I decided to have less weapon synergy. The combo has a downside for sure, because you never want to play your deathrattle, but the new card even draws it for you, so it even thins your deck. I have high hopes for this deck but I also hope its gonna be nerfed if its as strong as I think it is.
And thats it. Please like, share, follow, subscribe, buy me a new house if you liked this content. Or you can just leave some constructive feedback. Or share your wild theorycrafts, Im actually interested in other folks ideas about the new expansion.
That mage deck seems sick. Ignite seems like it will definitely see play in Wild.
Wow such a fast response! Thanks! Im thinking about cutting 1 Ignite, maybe 1 is enough. But the second elemental can do some real work especially with the Elemental Evocation and 0-cost fire secrets thanks to Ancient Mysteries.
I'm really hoping overload control shaman works with these new tools. I've been trying to use the +3 nature spell damage as a finisher, but a lot of times it's not quite enough, double spells might help

I hope so too. What I want to know is how Overdraft works with double spells? Is it double damage, or the second one just hits for zero? Anyways, you can easily overload for 10 with double spells, so even if its just 1 mana Pyroblast, its still pretty good.
i would cut at least one of the 5 cost card draw guys from the ignite deck for stargazer luna
Luna could do the same thing as the elementals in the combo turn... Thats a very good point. On the other hand the elementals could help you in the midgame to draw a lot (especially with 0 cost fire secrets and Hot streak). So I think I would rather cut 1 Ignite for Luna. Thanks for your suggestion!
I think that cards like Dark Alley Pact are redundant when your deck is already full of cheap big idiots, but in the highlander version the new cheap big idiots are very much welcomed. They made the deck more consistent and we have some other juicy new stuff, 7 new cards in total.

You want to draw your deck, play double Sorcerer's Apprentice and a Sanctum Chandler. Then you can play a free Ignite that will shuffle itself into the deck then you draw a random free upgraded Ignite. If you want Dirty Rat protection, you can add Simulacrum.
Now we want see what can be done with shaman's questline. You can build it as an aggro or combo deck, but I have decided to build a highlander deck:

And I would cut cold blood for wicked stab

Thats fair. My reasoning behind cold blood is that it can make eggs a threat. But its probably dont worth it.
I have made some changes thanks to the feedback. I also wanted to post one final deck before the expansion hits, the Reno Evenlock:
