Alright hear me out. I want to make a deck for Standard that aims to win by shuffling loads of corrupted Circus Medics into my deck with Togwaggle's Scheme, stalling out the game and then playing a Y'Shaarj, the Defiler to get a big fat OTK turn. My challenge is surviving the early game while still having the cards to be able to corrupt the medics.
I was thinking I can try and use Tenwu of the Red Smoke to put a regular medic back in hand and corrupt it while it's at 1-cost. Or using shadowstep effects to make it easier to corrupt. Grand Empress Shek'zara will also be in the deck to draw all the medics quickly or find Y'shaarj.
Anyway, I am looking for some cards you think will help me survive the early game to pull off my nefarious plan.
You have to get super lucky to do this against any class except Priest. I think this is fairly simple to do against Priest. So just concede until you find a Priest.
Assuming you also want to have an actual winrate and not just test the deck against priest only, I remember someone said that rogue doesn't have the control tools to survive aggro decks and the best way to do so is to play aggro yourself. Ofc you can add the new 3 mana spell that gives your hero stealth. And beside the cards you want to add for your combo I suggest you go for the stealth package. The high attack minions can trade in early game, you can add sage for extra draw and stealth synergy. If you are left with free slots try different cards and see which ones fit the best in this meta.
Great idea, you will need that 5 mana minion that puts 2 cards from your deck that did not start there in your hand (forgot it's name). Just 1 thing: after you play Y shaarj you have 6 spots to put a minion. Circus Medic deals only 4 damage, so even if you stepback Y'shaarj you can only do 28 damage. So it eont be an OTK, but close.
As others have mentioned, it would be difficult. There are a few issues with the OTK, but that's not to say it couldn't still be a fun deck to try.
This deck would aim to survive as long as possible. I would guess your best bet to corrupt the card is to shadowstep it back and play 3+ mana stuff... of which there are only a few good ones. However, the new hero stealth card would work to delay the game and allow you a chance to draw more of what you need.
I would probably build it like this, with secrets for more disruption in the early game.
Thanks for the input guys, I think secrets are the way to go to make this work. I've also added in Silas to my version after a hilarious game where I stole multiple corrupted Tickatus from my opponent. https://hsreplay.net/replay/KYbUhAaRst3nPyMXsYByh7
The list I'm using currently is below. Thinking about taking out the Secretkeeper for another early game threat but I'm not sure what...
I've now added 2x Doomsayer and the deck feels solid. They combo really nicely with Silas. Have gone 8-3 so far, although still climbing and expect to lose a lot more once I get higher.
I played it with about 63-64% winrate to Diamond 10, and then the winrate seemed to drop dramatically. But it is also one of the most fun decks I've played. (Especially when your opponent has no idea what they are up against). Another win-condition that has happened for me, is being able to use Togwaggle's Scheme to shuffle 10+ copies of Corrupted Clown into my deck!

Thank you for sharing the information with us guys. It is really helpful to us to make ysharrj rogue.
Hope you give us updates on this topic in the upcoming future too.
