Yes, on curve it´s not that good, i see. But what about the mid- & late-game-value. How is the average outcome?

It's more for fun than it is good. You might find yourself drawing it and wishing you had something else to finish the opponent or deal with their board.
Brightwing is a decent filler card for any dragon or highlander deck but it's just that. A filler. There are way better options that are also much cheaper. You are better off running Azure Explorer, Crimson Hothead or Onyx Magescribe.
