Hello! I just made this deck, and I have been seeing some decent success with it. However, there are some turns where it seems a little clunky and I don't have a clear, good play. What are some card changes, if you have them, you would suggest?
I tried to make Even Paladin work a bunch of times over the last few expansions. My approach is much more tempo oriented, focusing on flooding the board, sticky minions and buffs.
However, I also only had mixed success. Sometimes, it went pretty well, but usually not so much. Maybe Val'anyr could help, but I didn't bother crafting it when the deck was still in Standard, and honestly don't think it's worth it anymore either. Control decks can't really be outvalued, and aggressive decks are very fast. The old Corpsetaker build is too inconsistent for my liking.
I actually tried to emulate the success formula of Even Shaman, but realized that Paladin just doesn't have many threats or comeback options, or even burst damage for that matter. The hero power is really good, but outside of buffs, there are not many ways to benefit from it. Lightfused Stegodon and Crystal Lion, possibly even Level Up! might be more worthwhile now with Air Raid, and support from Drygulch Jailor, but I think that's a bit optimistic, especially against cheap clears like Defile and Flame Ward, which are very popular.
Another problem is that cards like Consecration and Truesilver Champion feel really outdated, and Equality is just too expensive since the nerf, and Avenging Wrath was practically nerfed along with it. That's mostly why I tried to avoid more expensive cards like Ragnaros - I can't come back when I have a bad draw.
Most of my wins came from Tarim, which is still really good, but just one card out of 30, and situationally useless.
Bottomline, I think Even Paladin is a pretty dead archetype right now. If Paladin gets more even-costed cards that synergize with the hero power, maybe one or two more power spikes like Tarim, it might work out, but for now, I find it hard to refine, and I wonder if Even Paladin could actually prevail in the current meta. Again, it's slower than Shaman, and Even Shaman is just decent, not fantastic right now.
EDIT: A card that I haven't tried yet but would maybe also include is Dinosize, if you have it.

I'm too lazy to make a full decklist now, but to give you some idea, I use Shielded Minibot, Haunted Creeper, Argent Protector, Dark Conviction, Keeper of Uldaman, Echoing Ooze, one Silver Sword, Sandwasp Queen, and of course stuff like Blessing of Kings, Spikeridged Steed, Sea Giant and Sunkeeper Tarim, but no other expensive heavy hitters.
