I have an idea for a "fun" deck that I would like to test out in a kind of turn by turn manner. Just to see how it plays out & whether my idea is just one of those late nite inspirations that can't really stand the light of day.
I don't have much experience with this kind of game, I was just thinking back to the "testing grounds" for new mods offered by several moddable games. There you could see each of your build stages in action, without having to have a completed mod to test.
I was thinking of maybe asking a friend if they'd participate, but even there I'd have to have some kind of completed deck to access the inter-friend game mode.
I saw a video (sorry, can't remember who posted it) where the guy had deliberately constructed a very RNG heavy deck (alarm-o-bots & what not) and used a friend game as grounds to "see what would happen". The result was pretty funny & kind of amazing.

I kind of doubted there was, but thought it was worth asking the question. I guess either the friend route or just trips into casual & just not caring about wins or losses, might be the only way.
Although the new "spectate" mode might offer something... maybe if I connect with a small group of other people who might find it interesting. Then we could trade off being the designated opponent, while those spectating can see both hands and how they play out on the board. Record the whole thing from both angles and meet afterward to offer feedback and comments on each others test deck. Maybe on skype or mumble.
i know u would want to test ur deck turn by turn just to see if it's good and whatnot but the best way to understand if it is worth it is just to play it (in casual or anywhere) atleast like 10 games with it and get a feeling of the bad and good cards in it and what you can replace..
i really dont understand what more you can wish for.. you wanna test a deck- just go test it like everyone else.. what is the problem?
I have done that very thing (trying it out) "just like everyone else".
The reason I wanted a turn by turn method, was simply an aesthetic desire. I wanted to see how the animations would interact as I went about building a "demon machine" deck. Viability as a competitive ladder deck was not a concern to me. What I was after was more of a "Rube Goldberg" effect.
Sadly turn by turn construction simply isn't available. It just takes a lot longer to get such a deck together when I have to go off and play several games (how many determinable by whether card draw is decent or not) just to test out one phase of construction.

I don't think there;s anything quite like that (where you get to control both sides). Sorry.

Time is money, friend.
