I've been playing Wild semi seriously for the first time in maybe a year and I'm enjoying it a lot. Having gotten to Rank 15 I find myself struggling against the much hated Big Priest.
Could anyone shed some light on how to beat these bastards?
Here's the deck I've been using.

in terms of being able to keep up with being able to remove minions, i'd suggest cabalist tome, ethereal conjurer, primordial glyph, and magic trick. granted with that much spell generation you could also run mage quest.
i don't normally play wild so i can't really so which cards you should change out but i feel like manic soulcaster isn't a great one to use.
To be honest your already running the best techs you can with polymorph. Big priests biggest issue is against fast decks and that isn't what your playing.
If you really want to go all out against priest your least bad options might be polymorph boar and something like Tinkmaster
If you're insane and don't give a crap about other matchups you can try some of the other summon minions for your opponent minions like Saronite Champion.
i believe the tech you are looking for comes in the form of a nerf. Your deck is good tho and with persistence you'll rank up, big priest will be annoying along the way tho
I'd definitely cut the Dragon's Fury as you're running quite a fair amount of low cost spells. As others suggested, if you want to counter big priest you can never go wrong with Tinkmaster Overspark.
Reno Mage is not good enough against Big Priest. You must have doubles of every transformation card. I've modified an anti-Priest Mage deck that I found in the deck sections with good luck so far. I'll post it when I get home tonight. I use two Polymorph, two Polymorph: Boar, two Potion of Polymorph, and Tinkmaster Overspark. Two Counterspell are also required to mess with Shadow Essenceand resurrection spells.
I already had Tinkmaster Overspark, which you will need to craft if you're going to continue to play in Wild. I had to craft Archivist Elysiana- even if you transform every one of Big Priest's minions, he can still win in fatigue since you've drawn secrets with Mad Scientist and Arcanologist. She is also a win condition against other control decks.
Last night I finally queued into a Big Priest around rank 8. I transformed every one of her big minions. When she played Eternal Servitude her choices were Sheep, Boar, and Devilsaur. You don't have to transform Katrina since she just resurrects sheep or something. Bow to your queen, bee-atch!
I don't think Jan'alai makes much sense in a Reno deck. You dont even run Fireeater so you'd basically have to spend a total of 16 mana just to activate it.

Yeah. It might be worth dropping for sure. Its in there because my early games where going quite long and and was easier to activate. I'm seriously thinking about crafting Tinkmaster Overspark to put in the deck and if I do then I'll drop her.
if you really want to beat big priest as mage, i suggest exodia mage instead of reno mage, the reason is big priest punishes slower decks or decks that use heavy and slow minions as their win con, however with exodia mage you can keep their board frozen in place and that gives you time to assemble the infinite fireballs, plus big priest can't really afford to use dirty rat, hecklebot, nor the new spell dirty rat minion so there's no way they can counter you.
big priest is imo a bad matchup for Reno mage. My suggestion is playing a more aggressive deck. Personaly I have great success with my secret/aggro mage against it.

Just a thought, but you could add tinkmaster for some extra “polymorph” in your deck. But I don’t know what you could replace or if it’s gonna help.
But either way good luck my dude.

Mad Summoner is literally an instant win if you get to play him. Most of the time you won't though especially if they get an early Barnes.
That's wild for you

Thanks guys! I don't have Tinkmaster Overspark sadly but if I ever open him I'll for sure add him.
In the meantime I might drop Dragon's Fury and Manic Soulcaster. I like the idea of throwing Reno Jackson back in the deck though so I might well add a Baleful Banker in place of it.
Maybe putting a copy of Magic Trick in place of Dragon's Fury would be an idea, especially for purely Tempo Plays?

I beat them quite consistently with Pirate Warrior.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
Here is my version of anti-Big Priest Mage.

Kingsbane Rogue. Just mulligan for Sap and you're good to go.
