I’d need to craft Shadowreaper and Raza the Chained to make a solid Reno Dragon Highlander deck, but I’d like to know how relevant it is now. I hate Big Priest as it requires absolutely no skill to play, but I want to get Priest to 500 wins and this seems like a strong and consistent deck., as well as fun as hell.
if you play wild, then yes shadowreaper and raza will always be good cards. if you plan on playing satandard then you might want to save your dust for the new rotation.
Dunno, mate, I encountered many Highlander Burn decks last month, which did fairly well. I don't think we should dismiss the Highlander play-style that easily. Though if Kingsbane rogue begins to dominate wild, then Reno Priest is f*cked.
Are you sure you want to play a Highlander deck? I mean - I have seen some dragon lists, which utilize either an Inner Fire or a Mind Blast package, and I think you are better off running them instead. It's not that the Raza package is that bad (I have lost to Spawn of Shadows a bunch of times), but I think it's better to save your dust and to have duplicates when facing popular decks. And the aforementioned lists have a smoother game-plan.
Kingsbane pirate rogue is already super strong. It doesn’t care about your taunts or healing because it’s going to smash & blast your face off.
I know, it was marked as a tier 1 deck in VS before the nerfs and we can only imagine how strong it will be right now. This is what I meant - that KB Rogue will increase even more in popularity and will dominate the ladder just like Even Shaman used to do it.
I play it and enjoy it. Got to r5 last season with it (currently not playing wild so not yet this season). This is the list I play right now (needs to be adepted to the meta game).

As someone who has consistently played Raza priest over several expansions, I can safely say that the deck is very good and hits that sweet spot of countering aggro while also having a win condition against control.
The main build that pulls this off is the OTK with Spawn of Shadows. While it is very possible to climb with the dragon highlander variant I only know of one person who had success with it and that was a few expansions ago.
tl;dr you'll get a lot of use out of Shadowreaper Anduin in general but only craft Raza the Chained if you are going to stick with the deck.

Any reason why Ysera over Alexstrazsa? Just curious. Cool looking list btw!
Well no real reason, except that I generally don't need to lower somebodies health. You are able to get 17 damage easily, but more is possible (I think I maxed at 26 or smth). Ysera can be played on a board regardless of the state of the game which can help a lot in control matchups (when alex is not useful yet because of missing combo pieces etc).
The deck is very fun to play, but I did have a bit of help from the hearthpwnhcommunity when creating the deck.
There is a full guide attached as well should you want to read through it. The deathrattle package isn't necessary. You can just revert the changes I made to the list subsequently.

I got legend with it last month. Big priest is an ok matchup (i run entomb which helps there), and kingsbane is also ok (dont forget that brann+ooze gives double armor, and looking for lethal setups yourself, cause they get low after facetanking all your dragons). The worst matchup felt to be cubelock (which prob is stronger postnerf), best matchup was even shaman (which is weaker post nerf).
But i still think its gonna be an eternal deck like renolock, cause it can tech alot against aggro and has a solid combofinish for controldecks. And its hella fun, like seriously fun

Raza sucks.

Can you recommend a list? I know of the one on Tempostorm, is that the one you’re referring to?
i guess I just like dragons, so I was gravitating towards that style, but why not play both? Thanks!
Here's my list ~ it's still solid.
