I need some help and im quite frustrated with this game atm... I try the game soon after it was released peak into it from time to time but never really started playing it regularly until now!
I build a Zoolock and a midrange hunter Deck but cant really get above one or two stars and then loose again. I read a lot of guides about right mulligan and I dont really feel like my decision are wrong but I always seem to lack some cards. When looking for "cheap" decks on Hearthpawn I have to say I didn't craft any Kobold or Ungoro cards as those will go wild soon and tried to replace them (probably with the wrong cards :( )
Any ideas what would be a good deck for lets say 20-->15 for me? (have about 2k dust after disenchanting a golden legendary card :D )
Bit tricky to say with the upcoming rotation. For an example, Odd Paladin itself will stay (as Baku doesn't rotate yet) but several cards that support it do rotate out, though the same can be said for certain cards that counter Odd Paladin.
I would look into budget decks that primarily use Classic cards or cards from Witchwood, Boomsday or Rasta'khan. Those will not rotate until next year. It might be tricky to find a deck though that doesn't use several cards that will be rotating but you could start there.
There might also be some Mech styled decks that will survive the rotation (since Mech is from Boomsday) though I can't say if they're budget decks (you'll want Zilliax for example).
Also, if you're really new, you might still want to look into basic guides and videos about playing Hearthstone. There's also the element of knowing what the current meta is like (what is popular) and what your opponent is likely to have or not.
You just need to practice more with your decks. You can get to rank 5 with a midrange hunter, even one without DK Rexxar. If you're getting tilted just take a break and play later.
There are very cheap Midrange Hunter decks that only have Master's Call epics and the rest are common and rare. Look up on hearthstonetopdecks.com if you can't find any here.
I recommend watching some streamers play those decks so you can see what decisions they are making, and why they are making them. Midrange Hunter in particular should be a strong choice but you definitely need some K&C cards.
Lots of people play this deck, but if you want a specific recommendation, I like watching Old Guardian's videos because he provides thoughtful insight to all of his decisions. Here is his video about Midrange Hunter from just a few days ago:

Thanks in advance! :)
When i look at your zoo deck i can understand why u cant rank up that, the hunter decklink dont work. Your zoo deck has tons of bad spells in it and that doesnt fit the style at all. Link your collection here and ill make u a deck u can rank up with.
U need to craft razormaws and dire moles but they are cheap and you have a very small collection. If u start doing your quests before they run out then u will get gold quickly, save up for the new expansion or buy classic packs. Before u know it u will have a good collection if u put a little effort into it.
Holy cow, I seriously could have been the one writing this OP. Played ages ago, put it down, just came back... Starting virtually from scratch, have some OK cards, but not a ton... Tried building Zoolock deck and midrange Hunter (without Rexxar or Master's Call), struggling with both (but less struggle with Hunter), currently stuck at rank 19.
So, you're not alone! I feel your pain! I know I just need to learn the game better and get a feel for the meta. That and better deck building skills, I need those. And cards to build the decks with! I just pulled Genn Greymane from a pack last night (I broke down and bought the Lunar New Year Bundle at the last minute) among a few other legendary cards pulled last night, and I still can't find a decent deck to start building with it at all!
Anyway, cheers to you, Selaiah, for being in the same boat as me.
Really pleased to see all the positive and helpful advice here.
Make sure you are rerolling quests to get better than 50 gold if you can.
If proving hard to complete, try making friend requests where you think the other player isn't an idiot. Might be possible to play a few friendly games to complete them. Just be prepared in case you are unlucky enough to add someone unpleasant and remove them.
Good luck mate! :)

And just practice! You'll get there.
You really should be able to get there with midrange hunter. Outside of Rexxar and Master's Call, the deck is very cheap, too.
Craft master's call (if you don't have it already) and give the deck a good run.

That would be awesome user-16* :) I made it public hope it works.
If I miss some cards I can craft them no problem
And yes I will start watching some streams/youtube vids now
