I only played Cubelock back in the day before it got nerfed and at that time Lord Godfrey wasn't really needed and Spiritsinger Umbra was just a tech for greedier meta games.
Lately I've seen Cubelock doing pretty decently again (Solid Tier 2 deck) and I really want to give it a go but I was wondering which of the 2 legendaries stated above is more important overall? All the decks I've seen play both and I understand the reasoning behind it but according to you guys and according to the meta, which of them is more important, I have everything else. Also I know that Umbra rotates in April but that's not a problem to me, I just want to have fun and win with this deck for now.
Pick Umbra if you want to do some comboes but pick Godfrey if you want another Defile. I'd say pick Godfrey because he is not rotating and its good no matter what. Even though Umbra has a pretty impactfull effect and is a Neutral card, she is harder to set up to get value from her. In addition, Godfrey can go into any Warlock deck besides Discolock and Zoolock.

I want to know which one is better and more crucial for the deck, I don't care about other decks or rotation, thank you.

It depends on the meta really. I don't play Standard so I don't know what the meta is like now, but basically if you're facing many Combo/Control decks Umbra is much better I think because it allows you to burst a shit ton of damage, Godfrey is much better against hyper Aggro and Midrange decks, as you will mostly Cube Voidlords against those decks, so Doomguard burst with Umbra is not really needed.

Then it is Umbra to have more explosive turns and having higher winrate as a card compared to Godfrey
Now that the meta is Hunters I would say that Godfrey is more important. It can clear Spellstones, Companions yes for the spellstone it needs to deal 3 dmg but its easy to achieve that.. Even Shaman is vulnearable as well.
Umbra is a lot more important. It is a game winner against control decks because of the cube combos with doomgaurds you can do for a burst lethal and things like that.
Godfrey is core for sure but twisting nether can do his job just not quite as good.
That said, Umbra is rotating soon and Godfrey is not, and Godfrey will probably be a core card in any non aggro warlock deck going forward. So you'll have to weigh what is more important to you short term vs long.
