OK, so yes, I sank all my dust into odd pally; therefore, I am now looking for a new deck.
I just started 2 months ago so I seem to have a little bit from every class for meta decks.
I love hunter (deathrattle/recruit) - missing kathrena, king crush, 1x devilsaur, prince keleseth, oondasta, undatakah, and ZJ. For hunter, I have the most cards I would say, then pally/rogue next. I do like those classes too as well as shaman.
I have 3400 dust thanks to rastakhan and the winter thing.... I just have no idea what I would like to / can afford to play. I like playing multiple heroes mostly, hunter, rogue, pally, shaman, mage and maybe priest.
I don't mind too much crafting 1 legend that will rotate out in april (or 2 if its really really nice)
Please help on what epics/legends I should look towards and what decks they can be played in. Looking for most versitility (ie can play multiple decks with that card) Thanks in advance!
Hunter is very fun, im not playing it a lot lately because i have like 800 wins already and want to farm other golden heroes but i would definitely play it rn
I would start by looking at the Budget decks on Icy Veins. They list multiple archetypes for each class. Find something that sort of matches, and improvise. Don't sink too much dust into J2U, KFT, or KnC cards as they are rotating in less than 4 months.
PS: I don't think Odd Paladin is completely dead right now. Early HSR data shows a 53% win rate since the nerf. And players have achieved high legend rank with it.
Odd paladin aint exactly expensive its also still playable just you dont high roll turn 5 wins every game imo new player should craft whizbang and just play with that until you have a decent collection Or just buy packs lol
Awesome tyty. Spell/secret Hunter I am just 2k / 2.4k dust from full. Only issue here is if I go this route, I cannot go deathrattles due to limited dusts.
I'd like to get away from odd paladin (seems like a good time) as it was boring.
I check various sites to see, and I improvise as best I can, but I am kind of tired of doing this as these decks are always missing 5+ good cards.
I think it's time to pick one and go for it. I don't mind so much the dust into the ones that will rotate out as I see it as a last 4 months becase I play every day 8+ hours, and would be the last time to use one of these decks.
Also dont think crafting another tier 1 deck is a good idea its just going to be obsolete next expansion when blizzard isnt happy about the meta change

This is silly. Chances are we won't be seeing a balance change for 4 months at least. And cards/decks get nerf'ed for random reasons, not simply because they are "Tier 1".
That does seem to make the most sense, just trying to see if there is a way for a deathrattle/recruit hunter possibility. Although keleseth looks nice too

A week ago people would have said that players always get a warning that a nerf was coming. Nothing ever changes until it does.

I'd vote Odd Rogue, you would have most cards for that already if you have Odd Pally. Vilespine is the most expensive card that is rotating. Leeroy is a fine craft because even if he is eventually moved to HoF, OP gets the dust back. Most of the vital pieces such as Baku, Cold Blood, Hench Clan, and Leeroy aren't rotating so it will definitely still be viable after rotation.
Consider that all the top tier Hunter decks are undergoing major losses in 4 months (with Rotation): Spellstones, the whole DR package, Rexxar, To my side!, just to name a few.
Some may be replaced, but the archetypes will most probably suffer, some may shift and survive.
In general, 3rd expansions are the worst timing to go all-in with a deck, for players with limited resources.
imo new player should craft whizbang and just play with that until you have a decent collection
I don't think anybody should ever do this. The Whizbang decks are terrible and I don't think new players would want to randomly queue into one terrible deck after another. I opened one and usually only play with it against my wife, and even then when we are messing around, it's still not fun. Sure, it lets you play with cards you might not otherwise own, but because these decks just suck, I really feel like it's a total waste of dust. I almost crafted a golden one but I'm glad I opened one before I actually decided to do it.
Deathrattle Rogue might be an option. Should benefit from the loss of Odd Pally and has some fun highrolls with the Mech Whelps. Investment there would be Zilliax, Cubes, and Corpsetaker which could be pretty expensive.
You might want to look up the mech deathrattle hunter, which is a lot cheaper than the beast version. If you insist on going deathrattle "on a budget" that is the way to go
Thats a great idea, but as u are correct i'm missing malygos, ziliax, corpse taker, and 1 cube.... although any of these I wouldn't mind crafting... but i'm also missing sonya shadowdancer. and valeera if that is required.
Also interested in a semi budget shaman too, I got the hero, but no deck (cards) to work with.
rofl @ karma but really i was more building that deck then playing it .... I was acutally doing the mech version (which i have most of) and threw in star aligner, used that alot, but looking to upgrade:)

Cards I have been looking at: Kathrena Winterwisp, Prince Keleseth, Zilliax, Oondasta, Houndmaster Shaw, Malygos

What could I do instead ? (ideally I want to use this dust)
Just craft spell hunter, it's the cheapest and the second if not even the best hunter deck
Skidaddle skidoodle your Milhouse manastorm is now a noodle

Very interesting on odd rogue, as that was the first deck I ever went for; then went for odd pally. Perhaps it is time to revisit that.....
I just want the most fun now, I don't like aggro perse, but I do not enjoy long games. Somewhere in the middle is good.
Still looking for key cards to pick up for decks to play:) And, I'll have to add leeroy too as I see him everywhere.

Ready for action!

Thats karma for playing odd Paladin

TY Everyone that responded! Much appreciated.
So I guess there is one question that remains....
Which to craft, and why? Kathrena Winterwisp, Prince Keleseth, Zilliax, Oondasta, Houndmaster Shaw, Malygos, Other?
