Hey guys! So now that giggling is worthless what card/cards would you recommend putting into Quest Rogue to replace it? I've been using two copies of Lab Recruiter and it seems a bit overkill to me. (Although it was pretty hilarious when I was at 10 health and top decked viscous scalehide in a game recently and lab recruited 6 more copies of it and healed back to full health almost lol). But any ways, what do you guys recommend?
I've seen builds with Lab Recruiter, as well as things like Explodinator due to the two tokens it generates. Grim Necromancer is also similar, although the deathrattle on the bomb tokens might be a little nicer.
If you want something defensive you could try Saronite Chain Gang, which is also nice because you could Saronite into Shadowstep and still have the token copy on board. Phantom Militia would be similar to Chain Gang, but the added value from Echo would come late in the game, at which time you're likely (hopefully for your sake) not still trying to complete the quest.
I haven't played Quest Rogue since the original nerf though, when I disenchanted my copy... and I've never gotten another, nor have I crafted a copy since. Although, I really wanted to since WW. Even with the Giggling nerf I may still. Also would need to craft Sonya, one of three KaC legendaries I don't have (Temporus and Lynessa are the other two). If I could open the quest or Sonya I might be more inclined to craft the other I guess. Trying to save dust and gold already for next expansion though.
Oh yeah dude those are some awesome suggestions. Probably gonna try saronite chain gang for the defense.
Let me know if it works well for you. Like I said, I don't have the quest or Sonya but I've been thinking about crafting them and giving quest rogue another go.
Before the nerf, some lists were playing Stonetusk Boar or Wax Elemental as the 30th card (if at all). I'm no quest rogue expert, but maybe you could put them back in.
Edit: apart from that, of all the suggestions by the people above, I think Saronite Chain Gang is the most realistic, because it's already good without the quest buff.
Zalae played Saronite Chain Gang in his Quest rogue before the nerfs (in addition to, not instead of pre-nerf giggling, obviously). Seems like a solid choice now. Wax elementals should also make their way back into lists now that blood knights are out of the meta
I like these options a lot more than all these minions that just put tokens on the board instead of having immediate impact. If you want more token generation, then fire fly is the best option but vanilla tokens is not really what the deck needs

There's not many options actually you must go back to the Old version with the 1 Mana 0/2 Divin shield Taunt ..
Giggling Inventor is still a 7 mana 12/12 in quest rogue (granted only by completing the quest) so I'd say it's still good enough to be run in it.

atop of the previous suggestion, here are mine.
Microtech Controller
Replicating Menace
Spark Engine could be a weird suggestion but a 1 mana 4/4 rush isn't bad + his 1\1 could finish the quest.
