Hi people. So a few days back I saw this infinite turn mage deck which made use of Lorewalker Cho, Azalina Soulthief and the mage quest reward spell to go infinite. I got inspired to make a rogue equivalent but with buffing your weapon endlessly and succeeded half and now seek the internet's help.
So here's the setup before going infinite:
You get a weapon, preferably Kingsbane and make sure you got it equipped on the moment you'll play your combo
Right now you paid 8 mana. After copying your opponent's hand you can buff your weapon, play The Coin, kill Azalina Soulthief (1/1) with Backstab and play a new copy of Azalina Soulthief (1/1) 2 times before running out of mana. But depending on your opponents hand size its possible to put a second coin into their hand. They are already stuck with 4 cards so they need to have at least 5 free spots. So supposing that requirement can be met you can go infinite.
So I tried this in practice mode and I succeeded after a dozen tries as it was really hard. I got to buff my weapon to 50+ attack which was amazing. Anyway, after trying it in casual, which was even harder, I finally managed to get the combo working. But a new problem had emerged, the time limit. So crushing...
So I thought it ends here...
But then I remembered, theoretically, it's possible to make a turn infinite. You only need to play Nozdormu and remove him from the board to reset the turn to 60 seconds. I'm just stuck right now how I want to get a 1/1 copy of both Nozdormu and Azalina Soulthief without relying on RNG. Maybe you, the internet, can redeem me in my quest...
A few things to note:
Using Sonya Shadowdancer is the only way to create infinite 1/1 copies in your hand that cost 1 mana.
Shadowcaster can also make 1/1 copies that cost 1, but there's no way to infinitely bounce it back to create endless copies of Azalina Soulthief
Using Shadowstep on 1/1 copies that are on the board reverts the changes back to the original stats and cost making it not an option
I'm glad there are aggro decks to keep this kind of junk from being viable. You need 9 specific cards in hand for your completely uninteractive OTK win and an opponent with a full hand just bricks you, sounds like a fun deck. Anyway I believe abusing Nozdormu is a terms is service violation. It's unlikely that they'll enforce it on some rando but it is cheating to the extent that's possible in hearthstone.
So...what if your opponent has a nearly full hand, and they burn the cards given to them by Cho? 9 card combo that also requires something from your opponent, which you cannot control, seems less than viable.
Relax people. The deck is countered by anything oppressive. Right now it's 5 wins against 59 losses. Imagen what kind of hell I had to go through. This is just meme deck made to challenge myself and the possibilities capable in Hearthstone. Like a science project. Last month I finally made it to legend, and right now i'm just not so interested anymore in the competitive scene.
Anyway, 24 hours later, i've finally succeeded and got the combo working with Nozdormu included, once! I haven't recorded it but I was able to extend the length of the turn to 5 minutes, taking my opponent down from 30 to 4 with Sinister Strikes before bugging the game. Nozdormu got bugged in my hand and became unplayable causing my turn to finally end.
What i did to make it possible? I replaced the whole weapon mechanic with just 1 Sinister Strike. Added Nozdormu, Conceal and another Shadowcaster so I could reliably create a 1/1 Nozdormu in my hand to use it in the final combo turn.
About the cheating factor, yea it did felt like cheating when I got the combo working once. But is it really? Nozdormu is just programmed to do that. So i'm using the card like any other card, don't you think?
Here is a little bit of info quoted from someone who reported Nozdormu as bugged. Not completely for the same reason we're talking about here, but it does state that removing Nozdormu from the field causes its effect to disappear.
--- Nozdormu - When killed/CCed, his timer gets reset instead of continueing.
Hey, This needs to be FIXED, or this needs to be changed, because it's kind of dumb watching Nozdormu get played and hexed/killed, and the player gets all the time reset like he never existed. It should continue the timer.
-- Heya guys,
I can see both sides of this argument. I'll run it by Dev and see what they think. Currently it is not a bug. Since the minion is removed, his effect goes with him. Thanks for bringing this up :)
Nozdormu hasnt been created for cheating like you are supposed to do with the deck you are proposing, neither for the toast neverending craps from priest spells that i saw once on youtube. IT was created for making the game fun and speed up some weird situation between players,so, as a defensive tool. Abusing a card for a solitaire game isnt fun at all. I totally agree with jeepers1704.

Okay, because I actually don't really care about it, I made a bug report on the Hearthstone forum. If I'm violating some rules I might want to ask first before risking some account bans or whatever.
Okay maybe I wasn't sure exactly how Noz worked in your deck, I was thinking you were trying to abuse animations to skip your opponent's turn, which I believe got D Toast put into Blizzard jail. Posting a bug report is acting in good faith so good luck with your deck.

The moment you want to go infinite you'll need the following 9 cards in your hand:
The Coin, Kobold Illusionist (1/1), Azalina Soulthief, Lorewalker Cho, Sonya Shadowdancer, Backstab, Backstab, Deadly Poison
You play cards in this order:
Right now you paid 8 mana. After copying your opponent's hand you can buff your weapon, play The Coin, kill Azalina Soulthief (1/1) with Backstab and play a new copy of Azalina Soulthief (1/1) 2 times before running out of mana. Edit: Here's the deck I used to perform the combo

If you use Valeera you can eeasily make a 1/1 Shadowcaster or even multiples from a single Shadowcaster.
And, since you are playing combo you can also add the Vanish Doomsayer play to help with the stall.
I don’t fully get what you are doing but will give it a try, Rogue is one of my favorite classes and making meme Rogue decks is one of my HS hobbies.
