To give a short introduction: I avoid doing the 40g quests and try to complete those for 50 and 60. I guess many people can relate. But every now and then, I am confronted with a situation where I have to play around completing one for 40 while completing one of the others. And for the fun of it, I like to turn these situations into a challenge.
For example, when I have the combination "Win 3 games as Shaman (50g)" and "Play 20 minions that cost 5 or more (40g)", I want to make a Shaman deck without minions that cost 5 or more. The most ridiculous one I've had so far was a quest log consisting of "Play 30 Paladin cards (40g)", "Play 30 Warrior cards (40g)" and "Win 5 games as Paladin or Warrior (60g)". In other words, I had to come up with a Paladin or Warrior deck without class cards.
I guess most people would think that's silly. Admittedly, it is. But as I've discovered, the deckbuilding process can be quite fun when you try to find the best solution regarding your limitations. And it feels even better when you manage to win some games and complete the quest. Of course your winrate is going to be miserable most of the time, but you know you are playing against the odds as you try to capitalize on cards you otherwise rarely use.
So I wanted to know if anybody has an interest in participating in these kind of challenges whenever they come up or would like to hear more about it.
I was doing the same thing, but instead tried to combine as many quests as possible. It's the thing that keeps me busy one month after an expension till the next.
This can be fun too, though I tend to avoid it most of the time. Playing "15 overload cards" + "20 beasts" just doesn't work well together, and in the end, the deck is more filled with "stuff" instead of having any sort of strategy to it. If you want to complete quests as fast as possible, it makes sense of course.
That being said, some quests certainly aren't easy to complete with normal decks. One of the quests I dread the most is "Play 10 cards that cost 8 or more". The more you try to stack your deck with high cost cards, the less likely it is that you ever get to that point in a match. Of course, a deck with giants would be well suited, since discounts still complete the quest, but my collection does not quite allow me to play giants yet.
Well, those are not hard to get around, my issue is when I'm stuck with 40 gold quests which I cannot prevent, like destroy 40 minions, play 40 spells, play 2 or lower mana minions and something else, how is one supposed to play the game and not complete these quests?
There are only 3 quests I can think of that cannot be avoided realistically: "Win 3 games", "Deal 100 damage to heroes" and "Destroy 40 minions". They can be only avoided temporarily, like when you have a "Play 50 (class) cards", since that can be accomplished without winning or doing anything else otherwise. I've had several cases where I played a Paladin Deck with only 1 and 2 mana cards. In one case I had it with Warrior and won anyway, because my opponent was getting frustrated about a Public Defender getting buffed with Inner Rage and Rampage.
As for "40 spells" and "30 minions that cost 2 or less", those are certainly possible but obviously make the decks a lot harder to build. I remember I've had to play Priest with no spells (interesting experience) and when I cannot play cheap minions, I try to play Druid and rely on ramp, but sometimes, even that is not possible due to other limitations.
Greetings, everyone,

Over the last few days, nothing has come up on my side yet. But I'll get back to it when an opportunity shows up.
