So everyone seems to be theorycrafting new decks for the coming expansion, playing around with new archetypes and whatnot. But leave your new Reno-Shadow-Reno-Dragon Priest deck for now and I'd like you to dust off your old control priest. With the new cards that are coming out, how are you planning on reinvigorating current archetypes? Are there any cards where you're like "Yes! This is a perfect fit for my handlock! Exactly what I wanted"?
For example, here is my wild reincarnate shaman deck:
The second the expansion comes out, I'm crafting White Eyes and adding it to this deck. I'll probably remove a Sludge Belcher to make space. I'm really excited that we finally got a Reincarnate Shaman legendary and on top of that any good deathrattle taunt minion is an auto-include in a N'zoth deck. I'm also excited for the new healing card control shaman got so I'll probably try replacing at least one Piloted Shredder for Jinyu Waterspeaker.
Lastly, there's Devolve. As a whole I'm not sure of this as a card, and we'll have to test it thoroughly to see if it ultimately holds up in control shaman. I think this card will end up serving the purpose of hex rather than as a board clear, though it's probably good against aggro/zoo as well. There's no small chance that this card will end up not seeing play at all. If I were to think of what to replace with it, I'd consider that this card would probably work best with the same kind of board as Lightning Storm, though to a lesser extent, but in exchange for a bit more versatility as a transform effect. So I would probably take out a storm for devolve as a 1-of.
How about you guys? Any cards you're really excited about trying in your decks?
Leeroy Jenkins has potential in the deck as a finisher and Faceless Manipulator if the meta slows down could be a solid card in general but I wouldn't play Blessed Champion as its too situational. The problem with this sort of deck is what do you cut to make room for those cards? As it stands the combo feels too gimmicky for me and the only real change I'm considering at the moment is Fight Promoter to Acolyte of Pain for consistency reasons.
