I rarely beat Shamans anyways so there is no change there, but they aren't that OP a board clear or 2 and some nice spells deal with them easily. Plus they got more weaknesses that Secret Paladin.
I dont play shaman, and its not op, i see it a lot, but it aint a "cancer" like pala was, in fact they only got some decent cards, but didnt reach the op level yet
Control priest/Nzoth Priest and Cthun Warrior/Control warrior for me works against aggro shaman
priest a little bit less if they have a great starting hand, but yes this deck is getting on my nerves i have it and i dont like to play that much like some ppl since the ladder is full of cancer shamans
Control Priest wrecks Aggro/Midrange Shaman hard. Laddering to Rank 5 and in casual, I fought about 10 Shamans - won 9 of them and the last one was because I played the wrong card accidentally xD
The fact that most of those Shaman claases are net decked makes it really easy to track what else do they have. Except for Flamewreathed, when Shaman gets to top-deck mode, each individual card is kind of weak on it's own. As Long as you can outlast and control the board, it's a really easy win.
number of shamans I faced this month... 15% (46 shamans in 298 games)... won half of those games...
I keep track with hearthstone deck tracker... so its accurate... not so many shamans dare to face me it seems :P
The thing against shaman is to stay alive until he is dead (afterward you may commit suicide if you please)... so the ways of doing this are heals or taunts... You should be able to answer his board while building your own... boardclear and battlecry minions that deal damage/destroy are pretty good. If you draw too much lategame cards in your first turns it makes it hard to battle against shaman...
If you keep this advice in your mind while searching for a deck or building one, you should do fine against him.
If you however decide to play a slow deck in this meta... dont come here to start a threat telling people that shaman is unbeatable... because it aint!
I apologize that shaman is no longer free wins, however don't get so upset about it. Was thrall to be a pushover forever, while all the other classes were playable to godlike? You should be ashamed.
Yes, it was his destiny
Also, just play Freeze mage if you're actually finding that many shamans. Freeze beats everything right now except Control Warrior and Patron Warrior (Patron is rare now). Even Tempo Warrior is an okay matchup and N'zoth Pally is fairly even (slightly unfavored if the Pally runs mad Rag and favored if he doesn't). TL;DR play freeze
Ehm no... I tried playing Freeze and it's plain awful... Half of the time it's either Warrior or Shaman and both Matchups suck pretty bad.... If that wasn't enough stupid Ragnaros is making it's comeback, and I think Freeze Players (or at least I do) hate him even more than Loatheb...... Freeze isn't in a good spot right now,if you want to play a Combo Deck you'll need to play Miracle Rogue or Combolock....
If you play the match-ups right midrange Shaman should be very favored and aggro Shaman should be slightly favored. Control Warrior is of course terrible as ever but tempo/midrange Warrior, which is much more common right now, is only slightly unfavored. As for Rag coming back, he's a pain to deal with but definitely nowhere near as much of a pain as Loatheb was. If you assume around a 1/3 chance of your opponent having drawn Rag (meaning they keep on average 1-2 cards in the mulligan and have drawn 2-3 cards in addition to natural draw since the beginning of the game) or closer to 1/2 chance for renolock because of tapping, more often than not you won't even see Rag on curve. If you do see a t8 Rag and have played around it correctly, you can (A) use burn to remove it (e.g. fireball torch, frostbolt ice lance ping, etc.) or (B) ignore it if you have already assembled the pieces you need to win. I guess (C) would be go for a 50/50 with a doomsayer. If we're comparing this to Loatheb, taking a turn 7 with literally no playable cards feels pretty bad.
Miracle Rogue is in a very good spot right now though and is also a very good choice, though they have a lot of the same problems as freeze Mage does against Rag. Not sure how combo Renolock is on ladder since I haven't seen it much outside of tournaments but it seems like it could be pretty good.

Also nice sig.
Midrange Shaman isn't that bad, though Bloodlust and Primal Fusion are annoying especially the former, oh and also f*** you Flametongue Totem I hate having to waste removal on you..... Aggro Shaman it's just plain awful.... They have so much burst that they can even afford to have their board cleared, with Antique Healbot[card] and [card]Mad Scientist[card] I'd say it was slightly favored for Freeze, right now I find it to be almost as bad as Combo Druid.... I guess I'm having more problems than I should cause I cut an [card]Ice Barrier but still we lost our two most important cards in Aggro Matchups and they gained a stupid 7/7 for 4 mana so my Decklist has more problems than other cause of my personal choices but even if I changed it I doubt we would get to the point where we're favored.... I'd say as of now,no matter what Decklist you're running it's 65/35 for Shaman.... The problem with Rag is that he's usually played in heavy control Decks (Renolock/Warrior and N'zoth Paladin) and they are all matchups in which you basically need to OTK to win, so having to waste at least 2 spells or Thalnos to get rid of him it's pretty awful, especially since most of the times they'll consume almost all your mana and he's not the only threat you have to deal with.... About Loatheb,I played a few games in Wild to enjoy the brokeness of the Scientist and yes you're right there's nothing worst than him.... He's just broken,I'm glad he's gone...... As for Miracle Rogue, which is what I used for the climb,Rag isn't that much of a problem... He's annoying but less dangerous than he's for Freeze.... Most of the times he gets Sapped or by turn 8 they're in such a bad spot that they can't afford to play him... I think I once had Auctioneer killed by him but that's it...
I don't understand how people can think the argument "well shaman was bad before so now they should be overpowered" makes any fucking logical sense what so ever. Bad design does not justify still worse fucking design. Do you even common sense, bros?
Shaman is good, but I don't think it's the strongest class at the moment. I think the strongest class is Warrior, especially with Priest being the worst class, which means no hard counter on ladder, since not many are playing Priest. That N'Zoth Paladin also does decent against Warrior, but I don't see it that often. Warrior has 4 really solid decks at the moment; Elise Control, C'Thun Control, Midrange Tempo, and Pirate Aggro.
I think they overbuffed shaman in WOG but it's nice to have 9 classes now instead of 7.(rogue was also quite half a class before)

Another one? ResidentSleeper
Instead of complaining, try to find a way to counter it.

To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
