The main theme involves comparing the number of your minions to your opponent. Many involve having lesser or equal minions.
As for the Rare, I wonder if it is a bit too powerful, or if it belongs in a differing set.
Now, I feel like the Hero Power and the theme do not fit very well with each other. But then again, so does the Hunter's Hero Power and Beast theme, that much.
Using spoiler as reference, I was considering replacing the rare with this, such that it can provide the class synergy.
Hmmm i liked your original cards better. Well it is better now flavour wise since your cards feel a bit more unique but previous cards seemeed alot better if you ask me. Also the rare cards is op. Most of the time you could leave the board empty at turn six so a huge tempo boost like that would be a bit overpowered. I would add a drawback to that card.
I realized. I would change it to "Has +3/+3 while it is your only minion.
That said, behold the Samurai, Mark 3.
The Samurai
Here are some sample cards
Notice how Karakuri Shogun is now a Common and gains +3/+3 if it is the only minion you have.
yeah but then it could become a mess lets say your opponent deals 1 or 2 damage to it and you play a minion and some how destroy that minion. The shogun would heal himself.

I am a servant of the world. And if I'm a servant, then you should consider yourself a tool, at best.
I think I'll be submitting Lord Havelock Vetinari (Discworld Universe by Terry Pratchett). The class will likely be called Tyrant or Dictator or Patrician. Currently I've made 2 cards. I'll probably make the 3rd one soon™. The real problem is to make a fitting heropower. Any help in that regard is welcome.
Lord Havelock Vetinari is Patrician of Ankh-Morpork, the supreme ruler of the city. He is also a graduate from the Assassin's School specializing on Stealth and Poisons. He will represent the class that is Tempo or Control oriented (depending on what you put in the deck). There will be very little spot removal but a relatively high amount of hard removal.
The only voluntary neighbor to the Alchemist's Guild is the Gambler's Guild mainly because it provides a stable bet.
This is the concept, a couple of the example cards. If someone (preferably who read the Discworld books) has any ideas on the heropower - feel welcome. Any other feedback is also welcome.
Alright, I finally came up with the heropower. I tried to make something simple and elegant and half-failed. The heropower turned out to be a bit complex but not to the point of being totally unable to understand how it behaves rather to the point of being a bit similar to Shaman's heropower.
There are 4 Poisons total. I'd word it to add a random Poison however we have Deadly Poison in the game so I had to clarify. Unlike Rogue's poisons in WoW not all poisons are used to envenom your weapon.
Alright, everything I done previously is in the spoiler if someone who wishes to give feedback haven't seen it. Now, I reworked The Librarian, Morpork Pernicious Poison and made a new (3rd) card 12 o'clock and all's well! Any feedback is welcome.
Yes, he is an ape but each of us have their defects. Also avoid using the M-word while near him.
Do I just shout "12 O'CLOCK AND ALL'S WELL?" - Not so loud! If you don't keep it down it won't be all that well for us!
Now it can only be applied to enemies making it a pure debuff.
I am not sure about "12 o'clock and all's well" from the future design point of view. It might force me to either use the occupations as tribes (e.g. Assassin) OR use their occupation in their names however that would deny making f.e. Lord Downey into a card (because only people familiar with the books KNOW that he IS an assassin).
Also still looking for a good Ebony Cane image... I've spent ~2 hours total at it already
@layrit ok class but you should make something that makes your class stand out. Librarian and morporks poison could be as well any class cards. Nothing unique. 12 o clock well i have nothing to say since you should have shown at least one minion with the assasin tag? yeah you should decide for one tribe and go with it.

The problem I'm facing is that I CANNOT make an Assassin for the Phase 1. The reason being that ALL licensed criminals HAVE TO leave a receipt. This means that I need to design a token spell called "receipt". And I can't present it at this stage. I WILL however make an unlicensed thieve for this phase. I'll have to cut something out... probably the spell. There are ALL tribes (from Discworld) in Ankh-Morpork, so my cards will have to have at least some of them. I can't just say "well, screw these, we will specialize in Assassins". Altho I could actually make these types of people have a tribe "criminal"... But then again they are LICENSED criminals i.e. they earn their living this way and are respectful citizens of the city.
@layritHmm thats a problem. I am facing something similar cause I need to make cards that produce tokens. Try making at least one minion for your example cards and explain in great detil what you plan on the submission post. That's all I can say. Would you mind looking at my submission too and give some thoughts?
yeah but then it could become a mess lets say your opponent deals 1 or 2 damage to it and you play a minion and some how destroy that minion. The shogun would heal himself.
I kinda pictured it like this:
Let's say shogun is at 9/7. The moment you play a minion, it becomes a damaged 6/4. And if you play another minion, it becomes 9/7 again.
In the case of 9/x, where x<4, I'd say the shogun would be at 1 Health at best.
@HackergradIts not about fixing but about how Hearthstone works. Your effect would in that case function as an aura since it can turn on and off making it similar to stormwind champion. Tha way you imagined it wont work because hs would process it differently.

@YushyBushy I like the concept and I like the balance even more. Maybe Lady Althea should be summoned immediately instead of at the end of the turn if anything for the text efficiency? Also if you decide to facetank a Ragnaros she will be summoned for free. Is it the way you want it or no?
Bypassing taunt is only a real thing if you are playing a fast deck (or at least faster than your opponent's). Your spells and minions are more Combo/Tempo oriented, I don't think taunt would be an issue for your class and I don't know about destroying 3 Illusions, it seems like a finisher for a board oriented play in the position where you are winning anyway (else how did you get 3 Illusions to stick?). Guardian Reflection is an objectively worse Sen'jin Shieldmasta UNLESS there is some very extreme Illusions synergy (as opposed to anti-synergy that is Shatter). Your class would NEVER play Guardian Reflection over Sen'jin or Sludge Belcher because having a 5mana Illusion blocks you from playing ANY card with Shatter. Master of Illusions is a bad Cult Master. It comes so late that the outcome of the game is already decided and then she proceeds to eat a BGH or do nothing.
GOD f-ing dammit as soon as i post in the submission topic i get another idea for a class and a better one with something my current class is missing and will probably be the reason it wont make it too far. It's like i learned nothing from last time. :,(
EDIT: @layrit thanks for the feedback. The taunt bypass card is just something if you want to play a more agroish type of deck and i wanted to make it just like how the skill functions in guild wars (tp to your opponent). Hmm you may be right on guardian reflection and i will probably buff it a bit. Master of illusions is supposed to be a big bods bad card from the basic set. Like temple enforcer and ironbark.
I believe that I will make spells that interact with the different castes of the society (i.e. Tribes). This should make my hero a bit more unique than it already is. Now, onto the first member of the Criminal classes:
The unlicensed thievery is a major crime that is severely punished by The Thieves Guild. Also did you know that Gargoyles are actual living creatures?..
@YushyBushy Temple Enforcer is by no means a "big bods bad card". It IS an extremely high value card which also came from the Classic set. The problem with Master of Illusions being bad is that there already is a card that would make it obsolete and that card is a Common card from Classic set.
Jazzfan27, I have to disaggree. First of all, the very concept of a strategist means the commander has to be able to decide what orders does he give. Giving random orders would make it another heavy RNG class like shaman. I understand "Move! Move! Move!" is a really good order, in fact, I should have added "this turn", like a prep for minions. Sorry.
That being said, when we count with the "At the end of your turn" thing it pretty much becomes balanced, as it means a certain minion comes 1 turn earlier if you happen to be in the correct turn to play it / you can combo 2 smaller minions.
Eager Recruit is not at all an Undertaker, it's more like a Secretkeeper, a situationally bonkers minion, but often just a pretty nice body. That happens because you have to give her orders to work, and often this means is something like Inspire: +1/+1 (because you have other orders that will affect minions, but orders like "Move! Move! Move!" does'nt).
Vox-Caster, now I have fixed it I think is pretty much ok, would be something like Flamewaker, maybe stronger maybe weaker, depending on your board, RNG, and other factors.
Thanks for your advice, I think the only thing I should really fix was that (first I thought about making Eager Recruit a 1/1, but then it would be unplayable, because she would automatically force you to give her orders in order to not lose that much value,in fact, it would be a lose/lose card), but if you did'nt make me look at the orders again to see if there was something wrong, I would have just keep on ;)
EDIT: Tuned "Move! Move! Move!". It should be fine now.
Remade one of the Jedi heropower secrets. This is kind of like deflecting a blaster shot that then bounces to a friendly minion, so the spell is cast on it instead. If you have no minions on the board, nothing happens. I'm not entirely sure about its balance, though.
I honestly hope that all submissions that satisfy the rules pass at least to phase 2. I feel it would be a shame if a class looses after only a small percentage of cards are shown.

The problem is that people dont read all the classes and cards leading to them picking based on picture. Last time when i made it to semifinals (last 8 people) there was at least one class that people voted for just because of the character. The actual class was bad and the cards were too. But people liked the picture and the character so they upvoted.

I think we should do a thread for all those who want to post classes, no matter if they were rejected or not.
At least I think I'm going for it. And by the way, here are some more cards (till the moment all of them are from classic and basic sets, though the Leman Russ has the "mech" tribe on it, there will be little or no mech synergy until GvG.
First one: Just a little toy I had to make. Lasguns and laspistols are the most common weapons of the Imperial Guard (and also some of the worst weapons in terms of fire power you can find in Warhammer 40k). That's why is it so cheap but weak.
Second one: Smite at Will, once a basic order, is back! Now gives +2/+2 for that turn, in addition. But as it is a card, now you only have 2 at max.
Third: Is an AoE completely dependant of your minions, that's why this class should try and fight for board as much as possible.
Fourth: The most famous tank of the Imperial Guard, now adopting the form of a good 7-drop. Hits like a truck, but has nothing else to bring (except for mech synergy, wich we will see later).
Hi guys I just wanted to make this post to receive feedback on my Sonic the Hedgehog entry which is on page one of the submission thread. I have thought about perhaps changing chaos emeralds To a 1 mana card that shuffles 7 chaos emeralds into your enemy's deck. When all 7 have been drawn, similar to beneath the grounds, your hero is replaced with super sonic.
or it could stay the same.
Also any other feedback would be appreciated.
as I say it is on page one of the discussion thread.
Okay, this is a pre-submission (pretty much final) post, I'll be submitting it this evening. Thanks everyone who helped with their feedback.
I'm presenting you the Patrician class represented by Lord Havelock Vetinari (Discworld Universe by Terry Pratchett).
Lord Havelock Vetinari is Patrician of Ankh-Morpork, the supreme ruler of the city. He is also a graduate from the Assassin's School specializing on Stealth and Poisons. He is able to influence all castes of the city's society often without those noticing.
There are a lot of different Guilds in Ankh-Morpork, the ones licensed to assassinate (or inhumate as they prefer to call it), steal, bandit and smuggle I generalized under the caste (or Tribe) as Criminal (even tho they are generally highly respected citizens).
The heropower utilizes Vetinari's grand knowledge of Poisons:
Unlike the Poisons in Warcraft Universe not every Poison is applied to your weapon. You will probably agree that it is more efficient to Poison someone with Anesthetic Poison using a glass of water as opposed to a steel dagger.
There are 4 different Morpork Poisons:
Meet the first representative of the Criminal classes.
The unlicensed thievery is a major crime that is severely punished by The Thieves Guild. Also did you know that Gargoyles are actual living creatures?..
There are some buildings that are more notable that its inhabitants:
The only voluntary neighbor to the Alchemist's Guild is the Gambler's Guild mainly because it provides a stable bet.
And as the final example card I present you with The Librarian:
Yes, he is an ape but each of us have their defects. Also avoid using the M-word while near him.
I'd appreciate any feedback before I submit it. Also for those wandering The Librarian's effect is an aura which means that it is constantly applied to everything on the board.
Daenerys Targaryen by Ethylbenzene. One of the only spell centric entries we've seen. Unfortunately, I think I need to see more cards to judge the power. Everything seems a bit underwhelming at the moment. Well, teh 3/4 minion is strong. I think with the right support spells this could be a very interesting class. Grade Incomplete
I just realized that someone else has used Daenerys Targaryen as a hero. Apparently we used the same art as well. Woops:/
@Vultrae Hero Power is way too strong, a better version of paladin + dragon tribe. Could be 1/1 even though it "lacks originality" but imo if you make it work with other cards to differ from what paladin offer, it can be just as good/creative.
Storm Dragon is a decent stat minion with a forked lightning as an ability without the overload factor, too strong.
Yeah it's definitely too strong. I'm working on new designs. Thank you for your input! I'll put it to good use as I work on the class some more:)
This is my idea for a class, I really need criticism and maybe help with art, it's based around cthulhu mythos with themes of dark rituals and sacrifice.
The Mad Prophet: Abdul Alhazred
Abdul Alhazred, the man who wrote the Necronomicon , the Mad Arab.
Hero Power
The hero power and the token it generates, too OP? too UP? An archetype of the class revolves around sacrificing your own minions so at least its viable
Example Cards
Here we see the first "monster" of the class, female Deep Ones mate with humans to procreate, usually with cultists, this card reresents that (mating with a Deep One would be dangerous , potentially deadly in my opinion), huge tempo if you have a Cultist, maybe make it a 3/2? maybe 4 mana?
This is a look to the human component of the class also cultists need to be killed off more easily
The first spell, the minion might attack as normal, but at the end of the turn it will attack another friendly minion or even the hero
I saw you ask for help with art and thought I might give you some suggestions:
Here is a cultist from Skyrim (does not have a white background like the other art)
Not sure if this really fits your theme but here's another piece of artwork
and lastly here is one I thought fit your theme pretty well but wasn't sure if you would like it or not
That said, behold the Samurai, Mark 3.
