My problem here is now, that most likely a lot of these texts aren't right or there are better wording-ideas for them (WoW-insider or something). Is here someone with huge WoW-experience and english-skills, who can check the texts? =)
Wording Feedback/Fixes (Since You Asked). In spoilers to prevent clutter:
-Armorer: Change to "Acquire 15 Weapons/Obtain 15 Weapons", "Type" is rather vague here and could mean a lot of different things.
-Common Stuff: Should be changed from "Own" to "Obtain", "Own" makes it seem like the achievement can be lost through disenchanting while obtain only means you need to acquire them once.
-Legendary!: Change from "Opening" to "Open."
-Pure Epicness!: Change from "Own" to "Obtain", same reasons as Common Stuff.
-Some Rarities: Change from "Own" to "Obtain", same reasons as Common Stuff.
-The Legend of Legends: Change from "Own" to "Obtain", same reasons as common stuff.
-Being an Explorer: Forgot to add a space in between "Normal" and "Mode," so it says "Normalmode." Also the "-" (hyphen) isn't needed between the words "Explorers" and "Bosses." The apostrophes also are not needed.
-Cursebreaker: The "-" (hyphen) isn't needed between the words "Naxxramas" and "Bosses."
-Defence is the best defence: Just a nitpick here but you forgot to capitalize the B in Best, and D in the last Defence.
-Exploring Naxxramas: The "-" (hyphen) isn't needed between the words "Naxxramas" and "Bosses."
-Golden Mage: The "-" (hyphen) isn't needed between the words "Mage" and "Class." Also, the last part "For also receiving the golden hero" should be changed to "and receive the golden hero." or it could just be removed as its already known that this is the reward.
-Saving the Staff: The "-" (hyphen) isn't needed between the words "Explorers" and "Bosses."
-11 Mana ... ?: This isn't really a necessary change but it could be changed to say "and see what happens" instead of "and see what'll happen."
-Arms Race: Probably would be better if the wording was changed to "Play a match in which you and your opponent both have 30 or more Armor." Although this wording sort of changes the meaning to require the match to be completed. This one is a little more difficult.
-Beard Challenge: First, this is hilarious. Second, the word "one" is not needed here.
-Charrrrrge: Nothing wrong here. I just love the word choice, "on board" makes it so much more epic. Not sure if it was intentional to exclude the word "the" or "your" in front of board but its perfect that way, don't change it!:D
-Deathrattle!: The "-" (hyphen) is not needed betwee the words "Deathrattle" and "effects."
-Faceing the Legends: Title should be changed to "Facing the Legends," the "e" is not needed in "facing." Also, the word "one" is not needed here (after "which").
-Faster than Moonlight: Change "Until the end of your next turn" to "at the end of your next turn."
-Finally Dying: Change the text to say "Have seven minions with Deathrattle on your side of the board be silenced simultaneously by your opponent."
-Giant-not-Slayer: Capitalize the "N" in "not" in the title. Change "one" to "on."
-Horseplay: Change to "Attack an enemy Dreadsteed with a Dreadsteed." In English do these types of sentences differently:P
-Leprosy: Perfectly fine except the "-" (hyphen) is not needed between the words "Gnome" and "Deathrattle."
-Lil' Princess: The word "one" after "which" is not needed here.
-Mrglglrglgl!: The word "one" after "which" is not needed here. I might've just noticed this but the comma "," is not needed after the word "decks" in these types of achievements either.
-No risk, no fun: Capitalize the letters "R" in risk, "N" in the second use of "No," and "F" in the word "Fun" in the title.
-Not Facing Jaraxxus: Capitalize "F" in the word "Facing" in the title. Remove the "-" (hyphen) that is between the words "Jaraxxus" and "Hero". Also, the apostrophes aren't really needed around the words "Sacrificial Pact."
-Now You Feel Pain!: Capitalize the "Y" in "You," "F" in "Feel," and "P" in "Pain" in the title.
-One Treasure Isn't Enough: Capitalize the letters "I" in "isn't," and "E" in "Enough" in the title.
-Quartermaster 2.0: Could be changed to say "Gain 30+ Armor in 3 consecutive matches in Ranked Play Mode.
-Ramping Right: Capitalize the letter "r" in the title word "right."
-Second Chance: Change "Armor up" to "Armor Up!" as is the spelling of the hero power's name.
-Skyfall: Change "one" before the word "single" to "a."
-Two Wights, two Thaddius: Change the "t" in the title word "two" to a capital "t."
-Unbreakable: Change wording to "Gain at least 30 Armor in a single match."
-Unconventional Armor: Remove the colon after "Warrior," change to a comma, so it says: "As a Warrior," also change "Classcards" to "class cards."
-All "Unkillable" and "Unleash the Power" achievements are probably fine with their wording since it is kind of hard to make it any clearer.
-Value!: Change "Manacrystals" in the text to say "Mana Crystals."
-Value!: Get rid of the comma "," after the word "Golem" and remove the word "one."
-Vanish: Change "by the use of Vanish" to "by using Vanish" and remove the apostrophes (') around the word "Vanish."
-Well Cursed!: Change the "c" in the title word "cursed" to a capital c. Change the wording to: Play a match in which you and your opponent both play Curse of Rafaam at least ten times.
-You Face Jarax...ouh!: Change the "O" to a capital in the title word "ouh." Apostrophes are not needed around the word "Repentance."
Overall, you didn't make any terrible mistakes. Your English was pretty good and these are really just minor nitpicks from my grammar-nazi mindset. Many native English speakers make those same mistakes, and all of the achievements were still very easy to understand.
As far as the designs go, I like both designs but the square designs are my personal preference because of their similarity to the achievement design in World of Warcraft, which is the foundation for Hearthstone. Just my opinion here though, both designs are great.
I guess AP English finally paid off...
Gosh, that's amazing! THANK YOU for this extensively feedback! Honestly, I don't have any clue on the english using of capital and small initial letters, maybe because it's completely different to the german ones. But ofc it's nice to hear, that there weren't that much minor mistakes. =P I'll definitely correct these achievements when I remake them to the new design. Again, thank you! =) Just asking: what's your nationality?
No problem! Yeah I've noticed that a lot of other languages seem to have different sentence structures. English is weird when it comes to titles and capitalization, I even find it hard to remember a lot of our rules because it seems like we over-complicate things lol. I'm actually from the United States (of America) so English is my native language, but it was still pretty difficult learning all of the rules. There's a lot of rules that most people forget and spell-check corrects 90% of them anyway lol your English was definitely great though. I've seen native English speakers make worse mistakes by far, and I'm not just talking about capitilzation:P
I look forward to seeing more designs from you! Awesome job so far!:)
Defused! - Have enemy to silence one of your Boom Bots in a play mode or the arena!
Underdog - Don't deal damage to enemy hero until you have five or less HP left and then win the match. You're allowed to heal after meeting the health condition once.
Close Shave - Win a match while you have one HP left.
I'd go with the round innkeeper one. Justicar one looks awesome BUT if you have seen the HS origins story in Blizzcon 2013, the devs said many times that they wanted HS to feel physical, like the HS box and all of that. And the Shop button and the Quest button do feel a bit physical, it feels like they are some kind of tokens on the table. Now the Justicar one is the pop-out one and that feels 'alien' in the main menu, because it's less 'physical' in that sense. So the more 'volume' the button (token) has the better. The shield one is awesome because it has a lot of volume, but I guess I would keep the 'round' button theme on the bottom.
Now I don't think HS needs achievement points, it's just not that kind of a game I feel like. The second you throw points at new/casual people they may think "Damn this feels competitive" even if it's not. I'd keep achievements more simple. BUT I would love it if when you complete an achievement, then your friend could see it on the bottom corner. Like right now there are hit legend, hit rank, got a legendary kind of pop-ups for your friends and I'd love that for achievements.
"As part of ongoing communication with the WoW developers, it has been agreed that Hearthstone is now the official source of WoW lore. We hope you look forward to seeing Ragnaros, Lightlord in Legion!"
The daily quest log already reads and has a feel of achievements so I do believe that your idea would be a natural step put into the game. Well made and WELL MET!
Maybe rename it to "Inn Achievements". Because now they can differentiate from our achievements in the quest log. Or better yet include the class achievements from the quest log to your achievements and include in the quest log 2 more daily quests frames so we can have a gap of 5 days instead of 3.
Also, the achievements are great to make players go back to previous adventures, so maybe separate them and have a set for each one?
So, not many things changed. The "Cards"-categorie is now called 'Collection' as it seems to make more sense to me, the Thumbnail-icons are the known circles instead of the old squares without 3D optic so that it's normalized. There's an searching line on the bottom to search for special achievements. Individualized orders are also a thing now. Normally, the achievements are alphabetical ordered, but you can click on the grey ticks to color them and choose, wether you prefer seeing the reached achievements on the top or on the button. A second click recreate the previous order. If you click on both ticks, the first clicked one removes to prevent chaos.
Maybe the biggest change is the achievement-banner itself. Instead of being shown on the button, they've now an own layer on the right to show them in full length as they're now definitely higher resoluted and detailed as the old design. With the left/right-arrows you're able to skip through the achievement in this categorie.
The last feature is the hidding/hiding (?) square, were you can obviously hide the chosen achievement. To explain this, here's an example.
Think about a "Play minion XYZ for the first time." achievement. This would be one achievement. But after reaching this, there would be a second achievement appearing, which needs this minion be played 5 times (as an example). The next one needs 25, then 100 and so on. Just in my opinion, it would be annoying if after reaching a longtime goal the achievement just would disappear and a new, more difficult one appear. It would be feeling like gaining numbers and not like reaching a goal. So for example if you played minion XYZ 100 times, there would be 4 different achievements, but all of them are focusing on the same object. Image Hearthstone in 1-2 years, the lists would explode! That's why I chosed this feature to prevent these long lists so that all player can individualize their achievements and only see the ones they are interested in. Hopefully this expanation is understandable.
In addition, here's another Dr. Boom-achievement. As always, other types of achievement will coming soon! =]
AMAZING! Exactly what I had in mind, better even. Now you could get some good video editor to 'animate' it and turn it into a YT video, to truly prove that it works, the next level! :D But yeah awesome!

Yeah ofc that would be awesome, but to quote Dr. Six, that's none of my business. I never really animated something and the maximum abilities with freeware programms (like gimp, which was used for my grafics) aren't worth to present or even to spend that much time animate it frame by frame. This thread is there just to create the ideas for the feature together, not for animating lowbudget videos which aren't compartible with Blizzards IT-codes or something. =] And even Fullas, who is in my opinion the most experienced Custom-Animator in the Hearthstone Community isn't able to create 1:1 Blizzard-quality.
I'm totally sure the main ideas of this achievement feature is clear, even without highquality videos. =) The rest is finding enough ideas for achievement so that Blizzard can view those and implement them in real Blizzard-quality. =)
We've the button, the main functions and general look of the layer, a design for the achievement (pretty sure with all needed details) and categories. So now it's on us to find the textes and goals to achieve! =]
Or did I get it wrong? Why should I prove something?
Btw I've updated the starting post, so that the old design isn't confusing any more.
I meant prove, as in a whole visual presentation of how it could be in the game like a demo, to get like the whole feel of it but just for fun, I mean this is awesome but seeing something like that in actual video footage would just be epic :D Ofc totally not needed and just a cool thing in the 'perfect world'. But no the design works perfectly. It's simple and easy to understand just like HS devs like it.
-Win a game using only cards which cost 3 Mana or less.
-Win a game with a card of your opponents deck.
Furthermore the developers could include a little symbol to every card in your collection to see if the card had dealt lethal damage in your career once. For example a little grey field which would turn green if you dealt lethal damage with it. Wouldn't it be awesome to get as many little green lights as possible? :)
I think it's a great idea, achievements, a built in way to track stats / progress /cards more intuitively would be some great features to add to the game. Achievements would be a great step to encourage people to play beyond the simple dailies list grind. I hope someone does take notice and considers the idea. Great work!
This would be awesome, it's something i've thought of since day 1 but i never bothered to share it here.
With achievements you also get some 'bragging' rights, so it should be possible to look at your opponents achievements while in a game, sort of like a 'inspect' button much like in WoW. That way you can see how many times the player has reached legend etc.
I remember when they introduced achievements in WoW, i was sceptical at first but it soon became my favorite thing to do in the deadtime, just to collect as many points as possible and do all the hard achievements, some even give rewards.
Maybe it could work similarly in hearthstone, to give rewards for some really hard achievements.
You might want to add a category for «Feats of Strength» for limited time achievements. Here's an example from diablo 3 that can also be used for hearthstone:
The hearthstone reward would just read as: Legacy of the void card back. This can also be applied to the Samsung Galaxy limited card back and Blizzcon card backs. Including pre-purchase card backs for BRM and TGT.
Adding a tab for seasonal achievements like they've got in diablo 3 would give players new objectives each season, even for the dedicated few that complete all the regular ones.
Achievement category's to possibly include could be:
Summary Overview of all achieved achievements.
Collection Card related achievements e.g. «Collect all classic Pirates» reward: Captain's Parrot.
Crafting Crafting related achievements e.g. «Craft a golden Naxxramas card».
Adventure Mode PvE achievements e.g. «Defeat Noth the Plaguebringer with only one friendly minion on the board in Heroic Mode».
Tavern Brawl This one is bit more complicated as some brawls do not get repeated, but I'm sure it's possible to solve in a good way.
Classes Class related achievements e.g.
All: «Reach level 60 on 6 classes». Warrior: «Finish a game with 30 armor».
Challenges Challenges with specific requirements e.g. «Win a game on rank 5 using a deck that includes Captain's Parrot»
Ladder Ladder related achievements e.g. «Reach rank 5 three seasons in a row»
Under the season tab you could include «Conquests» (highly popular season feature in diablo 3) which are hard achievements presented each season e.g.
«Reach Legend rank on the first day of a season». «Reach Legend top 3000 during season 22» (would not require you to retain the rank).
You actually make it look like it's from Hearthstone itself. I still personally believe an achievement system needs rewards (I'm not a sucker for achievements in WoW either) but as I said, it looks pretty cool!
Thank you for the tips on banner design. I'm planning to post a fan made Adventure and without the character banners it isn't really an Adventure.
This is a really awesome idea, I hope someone at Blizzard reads this and takes note.
I am your father.
Defused! - Have enemy to silence one of your Boom Bots in a play mode or the arena!

Awesome work man. I really wish Hearthstone had achievements. I was a sucker for those in WoW, I love to hunt them
Achievements would be soooo cool!
I love your design btw.
Ideas:
-Finish a game with Doomsayer
-Win a game using only cards which cost 3 Mana or less.

This is absolutely needed and it would certainly add a lot to the game. Awesome idea. Hope Blizzard somehow checks this out.
I personally don't see the reason to have achievements without rewards, but if it looks as amazing as you have done it then I'm in!
Those banners are what amaze me the most. Did you make them yourself with Photoshop or is it a secret of yours?
You actually make it look like it's from Hearthstone itself. I still personally believe an achievement system needs rewards (I'm not a sucker for achievements in WoW either) but as I said, it looks pretty cool!

How about this:
Leeeeeeeeeeeeeroy!
Play Leeroy Jenkins after your opponent played Onyxia.
