Hello, folks, and welcome to the Finalist Poll Topic for the second Mini-Competition of our Season 2 Finale! Unlike our usual week-long competitions, we thought it would be fun for our Season Finale to put on a few mini-competitions, which have themes much narrower than usual and which have a much shorter submission window (only 24 hours!)

Theme Restrictions:

• Your card must, under some condition, explicitly lose you the game.

We have whittled down ~100 valid entries to just 15 of the community's favorites.

I think only one i rly like is Doom Seer tbh.

btw Ashenvale Mealstorm must be THE most retarded card to ever appear in any finals lol ... its a druid card right? it doesnt even matter tbh, its rly broken and u can have two of them ... combo wombo away :p Well Greed is probably as bad :)

Rest of the finalists r ok, definitely some of them would be playable, but they dont speak to me too much.

Fuselage is pretty interesting. I also like the Ooze, but it should probably be 2-cost.

Greed and Ashenvale Maelstrom are basically the same thing, except Greed is even stupider.

See to me Doom Seer isn't even that big of a threat to lose. With a deck tracker you know exactly how many spells you have left. Once he dies, the threat of losing the game from his effect is gone. If the opponent never touches him, you have a 7/7 body running into the hero's face.

As a mage, if I was desperate I could sheep or fireball + ping and continue about my business.

 I think with Avatar of Sargeras the idea is to cheat it into play with cards like Voidcaller or Varian Wrynn that bypass Battlecry.

 So why the 10 cost? It doesn't matter if it's 10 mana cost or 0 mana cost, if you only can play it by voidcaller etc, it doesn't matter its cost because you can't play it anyway.

 Well the 10 cost could be for Effigy, Holy Wrath, etc. If they ever made a mini shredder that popped out a 0-cost minion this badboy as a 0 mana minion would be pretty scary lol.

The only  2 cards which seems balanced in any way is doom seer I could definitely see those cards being in the game.

Some cards are too powerful (greed(miracle rogue duh) and ashenvale maelstorm(6 mana double combo!))

Some cards give you a huge advantage for low price:doomfire destroyer,corrupted moonwell (aggro or face decks can run it to get tonnes of cards),muradin bronzebeard(just a 20 HP heal and the body is really good too.. obviously play when your hp is lower than 20 to "heal").

Some cards will rarely NOT kill you:immortal ooze (except with dreadsteed but then you have such a weak board.. if they can silence dreadsteed you lose on spot),rocket chief fuseleg(drawing a specific card in your deck happens too often.. just think about how often you face dr.boom at turn 7), captured deathspark(mad scientist, how often you are at 1 hp.. even with freeze mage? and if this card exists nobody will keep you are 1 hp they will aim for 2.. not too hard. oliphant (depends on meta TBH..)

The big demons are too dependant on if your opponent has hard removal at turn 4-5 or when you use void caller.. the avatar is unplayable cause you can't use it consistantly, kiljaeden might be wayy too strong due to bane of doom and void caller.. if your opponent doesn't have bgh or hard removal he can't win in ANY way.. might be waay too strong..

 For what it's worth from my design perspective, you can ping yourself with Hero Power in that situation behind Ice Barrier and or Ice Block and or Taunt minions, but agreed it's not easy to do.  It's not really designed to be easy to do as I don't think "You Win the Game." should be an easy effect to trigger. There are a lot of ways for a Mage to manipulate her own Health total though as you get towards 1 HP as unlike a lot of class spells, hers tend to have no restriction on hitting herself. I certainly agree it'd make Mad Scientist a bit less of an auto-jam 2-drop even in Freeze Mage though. Thank you for the feedback! :)

 Yeah it's a creative design but way too risky to see competitive play.. if such a card existed you would see a lot of mages fireballing themselves to their face only to be healed with a priest hero power XD, you could build a deck around it.. but you clearly want to play an iceblock with it,most of the time though such card will kill you more than anything, and you can't play mad scientist with this, so you lose a ton of value.
