Hello everybody! This topic is for discussion of our second Mini Card Design Competition of the Season 2 Finale. As usual, to make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. All other discussion goes here. This usually includes people presenting their initial ideas and giving others feedback, but it can also include questions, such as about the competition rules and process.
So, without further ado, have fun and get creating!
Hi, this is my concept. Let me know how i can balance it or word it better. Thank you : )
This also doesn't have the "you lose the game" line anywhere on the card, it's on the token.
Do you think it's possible and alright if i added "If they have 7 of the minion, they lose the game" on the spell card? Didn't want it to be too wordy! But i read through the rules and it did say the card must have the phrase. Thanks!!

I think the point of the contest is to make a card that will lose YOU the game, not the opponent.
Quoting the rule: "Your card must, under some condition, explicitly lose you the game."
I don't really know how to judge this card. It's just a pile of stats, and it comes too late to do much of anything. I'd say raise its stats some more, but that doesn't actually change the card.

i see! Very well then, what if i made a warlock class card.
Instead, you summon it onto your own board you could very well compliment it with dreadsteed! Not sure whether it's too OP tho
I don't think this satisfies the rules, the card itself doesn't have the lose condition on it, it just makes a token that has it.
And now? It doesn't say "you lose the game" exactly, but some derivatives were allowed, so I'm not really sure how to amke it viable :/
Well, it might qualify now. But exactly what kind of Rogue deck could make use of this? You can't use Gang Up, as you'll end up shuffling the deck, and that's always going to make you draw your copy of Sudden Death sooner than the card at the bottom of your deck. And Rogue doesn't really have the ability to go all the way into the late late game where people draw the last card without Ganging Up a bunch of Healbots.
"Discard your hand. Give yourself 6 cards that are cards that have already been played this game, and from your deck. Everything cost 0 mana.At the end of your turn, you lor the game"? Could that work?
I guess that works.
Maybe I should put in "Give the first minion you play Charge."
I have a question. Are we allowed to use "you lose the game" on a token card to satisfy the competition rules? I ask because we could then use "you lose the game" on a token card given to our opponent to change our created card into an alternate win condition, which is MUCH more interesting and flexible than creating a card which loses you the game. Being the worst possible downside, it essentially pigeonholes all cards into "absurdly over-powered but you lose if you don't win right away" which is not a good design space at all especially in a game like Hearthstone where there's INCREDIBLY limited ways to disrupt your opponent during their turn.

My first concept was.. but unfortunately i was told i couldn't. So i had to change my card effect to something similar.
This could end up (in really long control games) as a finisher just like Grommash Hellscream or Pyroblast for Rogues. What do you guys think ? I'm still not sure about the wording.

I'm not sure I understand the card. 15 Health before or after the spell? Also, does the number on the card change as you play cards? The wording is quite unclear.

Again, quoting the rules: "The card must explicitly lose you the game."
And there are plenty of ways around the "absurd card with Deathrattle suicide lololol" like either "If you control another minion, you lose the game" on an otherwise undercosted minion or "If your opponent activates 3 or more cards in one turn, you lose the game" on a card that increases mana costs passively or whatever.

How am I supposed to word this? (Sheesh, that's why there needs to be a Graveyard.)

Why are pretty much all the entries: "This is an absurdly powerful card, but at the end of your turn, you'll lose so it's balanced lolololol"?
I'd just hold onto it until I can win outright with it.

Maybe it could be just "You lose the game if you have 7 of this minion. Deathrattle: Summon two Indestructible oozes"
