I must first preface this by saying that I was majorly inspired by Jazio's submission for week 37 of the WCDC. He took third place with it, and it got my creative juices flowing. This was his card:
Same here, the Skirmisher and the Broodguard could make for some interesting plays. Good job.
(The Sentry has weird stats, you're pretty much required to play Cold Blood on it unless you face a token deck. Maybe a 4 mana 2/4? For the solder I agree with post #2 and #3)
Well I made this for this weeks competition and I think it would work pretty well in a Nerubian Rogue deck. It needs some balance cause its a bit broken though.

This makes Mill Rogue a real problem more than Nerubian Rogue. Although the decks are often one and the same :)
thanks for the feedback everyone. I've been at work all day so I couldn't get back to all the replies.
The major problem child here seems to be the Anubar Soldier. In my mind, Ambush is a particularly powerful effect, and I wanted to tie it to the inspire mechanic specifically because rogue can't make as much use of it as other classes. it means you have to make the choice of an inefficient play to get some later power, or an efficient one for less power.
As to making it apply at the start or end of turn, I shied away from that because there could be such a thing as to MANY Ambushes. Especially with Jazio's Anub'ar Enforcer being the thing which was supposed to tie the whole idea together. That, And I just like being able to choose when it happens a lot more. It's more of a personal preference in the design.
As to the 1-Attack on the Sentry, that was a conscious decision, because you're supposed to work for it. Yes, you probably need to use cold blood on it. In my mind, that was the whole point: put in a little effort, for a pretty strong ability.
If anyone else has ideas to support a Nerubian theme, I'd be happy to see them. While I'm pretty pissed at Blizzard for giving Nerubians to rogues instead of the inevitable DK class, The Idea has grown on me quite a bit.

I made 4 cards with this Nerubian inspiration.
An later these two:
Rogue really dislikes the Inspire mechanic, why not make Anubar Soldier "At the start of your turn" instead?

Dude that submission was awesome! I was hoping to get 1st place but I guess 3rd is great as well. Love the skirmisher and the broodguard...

Anubar soldier stats are weird.
Compared to yeti he got 1 health less and a very strong effect. I think the stats should be the same as shredder (4-2).
I've made 2 more cards, that should really help out control rogue's early game issues.
Specifically, the webweaver should in theory take a wild ferocious s**t all over cancer-face decks without actually making those decks better.
Unfortunately, there's no more good art for nerubians (that I've found), so we'll just have to wait for Blizzard to release more.
That Acidslinger is insane.
