Battlecry: Any excess Health your hero gains becomes Armor.
2 Attack / 3 Health
Lightforged armor glows in the dark. Pretty cool, huh? It also gives you wings.

Summon: May the sun's Light protect you.
Attack: By the Light, be cleansed!
Yes, yes, another Paladin card, but it's a pretty cool concept I wanted to share. Besides, should any non-Paladin class with lots of heals (say, Priest or Druid) get it from Grand Crusader, I think it'd benefit from it.
Designed primarily for Control Paladins, but should a Priest get ahold of the Battlecry, good for that Priest.
For instance, you're at, say, 28 Health, and you play Lay on Hands. You, along with drawing 3 cards, not only restore 2 Health, but gain 6 Armor.
Another example: You're at 30 Health, you play Tuskarr Jouster and win, then you play Antique Healbot. You gain 7 Armor, plus 8 Armor.
It's a Battlecry, so this lasts for the rest of the game.
Let me know if this design is stupid or not. But I doubt Aggro Paladins or Secret Paladins will want this. Maybe some Midrange builds.
Animations:
Battlecry: The Lightforger glows (like Dragon Consort), then a golden version of the shield from Ice Barrier appears (except a tad quicker and minus the swirling ice), with its sound replaced with the Redemption/Resurrect sound.
Armor Gain: Like Magni's, except colored light yellow instead of orange (to denote it was forged from Light).
NOTE: Any Armor Gain animation (e.g. from Shield Block, Armorsmith) before playing Lightforger is normal. But AFTER playing Lightforger, it changes to the animation above, even if not from healing.
I'd run it in my control decks, and it makes Healadin more viable as a gimmick, so that would be fun. It would make playing a tempo Tuskarr less awkward and sad too, especially when it wins.
Also, the amount of cards it synergizes with is hilarious.
It'd be pretty cool to have a Healadin gimmick card with the various healing abilities they have stored in there, I'd be doing the same as DoctorZedman with that badboy going in my deck.

My new thread for cards i've started making since the 6th of Feb-> [Mod Edit: No TinyURL Links Please]
An interesting concept, I'd like to see how something like that would play out.
Could be situationally useful against combo decks like Freeze Mage or anything involving Malygos. Not sure it would be strong enough to see play however.
I'm considering changing the artwork to something like this:
Which is better, a tauren Lightforger, or a dwarf Lightforger?
Also, if you notice, I replaced the word "gains" with "restores" in the dwarf artwork. Is it better that way?
Gains implies from any source, Restores implies only healing done by the Hero. Things like Healbot or Tuskarr Jouster wouldn't generate Armor in the Restores option.
I don't think Battleforger should be a Battlecry effect. Put it on a bigger body if you need to, but an effect that lasts more than one turn should in my opinion have a presence somewhere.
Currently, there's no card in HS that has an effect that continues on after it dies in the fashion of Lightforger. Justicar Trueheart does have an effect after it dies, but it's visibly denoted (hero power) for both players long after the minion's died.
I think you could just drop the 'Battlecry' of it - the effect only lasting while Lightforger's on the board. Also, as it stands, the text compels people to run 1x at most really (given the effect would last the rest of the game), which I don't like.
Just my two cents! I really like the idea.

I like the idea. I think it's creative and I'm all for adding armor to other classes as well.
Gains implies from any source, Restores implies only healing done by the Hero. Things like Healbot or Tuskarr Jouster wouldn't generate Armor in the Restores option.
Nope.
Behold, a card that goes well with it. Let me know of any balance issues.

Combat Medic
2 Mana - Paladin Minion - Rare
Whenever a friendly minion attacks, restore 2 Health to your hero
1 Attack / 4 Health
This is why you ALWAYS kill the medic.

Summon: Hang in there, guys!
Attack: By any means necessary.
What to Paladin Armorsmith is to Warrior. Let me know if it is too OP.

And another card I made back in the day that would love this card so much:
Was designed to combo with Scarlet Purifier. Just be careful not to use against Priest with Auchenai Soulpriest.
(NOTE: I made this back in the day, notice how the crystal does not glimmer.)
