Hello everybody! This topic is for discussion of Week #33 of our Weekly Card Design Competition. One of the awesome things about this competition is that it gets us all talking about what makes a card balanced, fun, realistic, interesting, unique, innovative, exciting, and more. However, to make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of this week's entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your card? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's cards? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
WARNING:
Please refrain from the following...
Advertising Your Card. This is a new rule during Season 2. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your card only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is balanced?". Yes, getting feedback on your card is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your card for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.
So, without further ado, have fun and get creating!
It would also have an implicit condition like Cleave. You can't cast it unless there is a left and right enemy. If they have only one, that doesn't count. I am trying to figure out how to balanced it and make it viable. The version on the right would be better for killing large minions, in combination with something likeWhirlwind or Death's Bite. The one on the left might be harder to use to its full potential, but it would be better against aggro.

I dont rly like the change health thing for warrior, the first one seems to have potential, but if there will be just one minion, would he get hit twice? that would be some cheap hard removal then :O but even if not, it still looks very OP, 2x4 dmg is a lot for 3 mana and it would be such an epic anti agro card, i dont think agro would be at all possible to comeback from that vs warrior. Not sure if that is a bad thing or not tho lol.
@ Sinti - No, if it could trigger with one minion, it wouldn't count for this competition. You can't cast it if the enemy has 0 or 1 minions out. The left and right-most minions have to be different.

Well then u have to reword that, cause nothing on the text suggests, that there HAVE TO be more then 2 minions for u to cast it, only thing that i can imagine is, that if u would cast it with only one enemy minion on the board, it would get damaged only once ... that can be "hidden mechanic" in the current state of text, but thats about it ;-)
@DoctorWhoops: guess it seems good, could have help to get Malygos druid deck rolling singlehandly. Fix the "f > F" after battlecry ;-)
I've tried to word this in such a way that it's clear that your opponent needs at least 2 minions on the field for you to play this. That's how it should work anyway. I'm unsure if it's too strong or too weak though.
Maybe 3 mana? I'm envisioning a turn 10 where you fireball twice to the face for at LEAST 16 damage, that can't be mitigated by taunt like FoN/SR can. This way, you can only get 1 super fireball, and another 1-2 weaker spells.
Inspired by the Warlock spell of the same name in World of Warcraft. If you have a number on the field for which no target exists (e.g. like 13 or 11), the spell summons nothing.
Play Effect: Summoning Portal effect similar to World of Warcraft's version appears and summons the minion onto the field. Sound effect: "Wush, wush, wush... ding".
I think the effect is fine, but I'm not entirely sure about the mana cost, seeing that Mind Games functions in every board state, but CAN get you garbage. Ritual of Summoning is way more situational, but has higher potential (in particular 10 and 12 Mana). Fits very well in Swarmlock / Zoo.
Mana cost fine as it is, or should it be higher or lower?
@nurgling13 I don't think either version is eligible for this weeks theme. They don't fit the rules.
@darthscion Needs rewording. Also might be undercosted.
Damn, someone already submited one type of giant already :X but what do u think about this? Im not sure about the cost tho, i dont think it should be higher then 8, but if i go lower, would it be too OP?

I'm not sure if that qualify? Have to be something with numbers, not sure though
Is the wording clear enough? There is supposed to one chance of 50% for each minion on the field, like thematically your minions dig for treasure, its NOT supposed to be like 3minions=150% chance.

Saw this posted in submission, and wanted to comment on it. Think at the very least, it should summon something like a Worthless Imp on 11 and 13 creatures.

Mini-flamestrike for 3 mana ... yeah why not :P go with 3 + 2x2 and that should be fine since shaman does have rather easy way to get +1 on it with spell power.
I think it'd be better this way: 'Put a treasure chest into your deck. Repeat with a 50% chance for each friendly minion'. This way, you're guaranteed 1 chest.

Why? just suicide some of your minions or trade until u have the number u want for summon.

Both topics have the wrong number.
Just wanna let you know.
(Luckily, that can harmlessly be changed)
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
Hmm... Here we go.

And i am not sure about minion's balance, weapon is probably fine, compared to Assassin's Blade
