Hey everyone, got a few ideas for some of the characters i found more memorable from my WoW days, whats the thoughts on the balance/mechanics, and any preferences for a submission?
Chromie: Designed to try and help the inspire mage that seemed to be pushed with TGT release, obvious synergy withColdarra Drake and Garrison Commander, its more of a combo piece so don't really think of it coming down on turn 3, its really a late game card a laLock and Load.
Araj the Summoner: A persistant threat in something like a Reincarnate Shaman or Feign Death hunter, but allows the opponent to remove it if you aren't prepared to use him correctly. A "start of your turn" trigger may be a better balance for the phylactery.
Keeper Remulos: An attempt at designing an interesting mid-range/ramp druid card, either ramp up faster or drop a 3/4 and a 2 drop or use the wrath in hand to remove a small threat.
I prefer Xandivious, the mechanic feels more like a niche legendary than something you'd find on a regular minion. With that said, adding a "Can not be discarded" tag to him might be something to think about, its an effect that i think would be needed on 1-2 important cards to actually see a discard warlock become semi-viable.
Good idea, but a bit overpowered, a 6/3 statline with "Battlecry: freeze all other minions" would be a bit more balanced. 4 mana cost would even be reasonable with that effect in my opinion.
With all these posts being deleted on the submission page, wouldn't it be better to just delete them and not have some posts stay up with just the word 'deleted'? It would seem unfair for 'runner up cards' (Cards tat aren't the highest on their page, but still can reach the finals) to not make it because their page has less submissions then another (When it comes down to calculating the runner up cards) because some people didn't know they shouldn't post comments in the submission topic.
Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work like that. The whole reason we mark posts as removed rather than deleting them is because the program we use to help us count up the votes has a lot of trouble with deleted posts. Our program is going to run the exact same way, deleted posts or not, and that means that it's going to include deleted posts as part of determining what entries are on what page. In other words, we don't mark pages as removed instead of deleted for us. We do that for you so that you aren't seeing something different from what we see and so you don't get confused when it comes to the finals and something makes it from our perspective that doesn't look like it should have made it from your perspective.
The alternative to us using this program is us mods having to count everything up by hand, meaning it would take hours more for us to set up a poll topic once the final review and up-voting ends.
Additionally, before we started having the rule that no posts in the submission topic should be deleted, it was a problem complained about a lot before that folks in the initial pages would delete a post and cause everybody at the top of any page after to "page slip" and end up at the bottom of the preceding page, often likely putting them at a big disadvantage up-vote-wise. If we allow submission post deletions again, this problem necessarily returns as well.
I realize that the current system isn't perfect either, but I'm honestly not sure how to get the best of both worlds on this using the limited systems we have available to us, including the forum system itself. =/
You are right that we need to start giving folks substantive warnings for posting in the wrong topic, though. And in fact, I also need to start giving folks substantive warnings for deleting posts even though that's against the rules too.
@ Asylum_Rhapsody - If you accidentally post something in the submissions page, what should you do when you realize the mistake? Just edit it to REMOVED or something like that? I accidentally did it once when I meant to post in discussion and I just deleted by instinct.
@ Arkasaur - I like your Araj a lot, although I agree that it should be start of your turn. As it stands, you can trade him every turn and he'll come back to full health. Your opponent should have a chance to stop it. Maybe then give the phylactery more health. Also, would be an awesome card to have for this week's Tavern Brawl....
Hmm, I think even though you could stop it, once you run out of counters isn't the board locked forever? Imagine a full board where your side has Sapphiron and my side has a taunt. Sapphiron can choose to keep punching it until it dies, then continue to punch face until dead. Or, maybe the Taunt kills the Sapphiron, but if that's the case then why would you choose to run it into the Taunt? Just leave the board be until fatigue.
Freezing the entire board is okay, but maybe not as an ongoing effect.
Hey guys, I never played Wow. I don't know almost anything about the game, but that didn't stop me from creating cards. The art on this card IS NOT original because i don't know how photoshop works....If You guys like my concept, let me know
The concept is okayish. However Blizzard is/was against forced discards (they stated it somewhere a while ago). Even if you went through with this exact design I'd advice you to raise the stats on your Succubus because the effect is mirrored (as opposed to "Your opponent discards a card").
So far I am torn between 3 concepts: http://i.
The one I like the most is the concept of healer-Sally. All feedback is appreciated.

Restore 5 Health Whitemain seems interresting. Also, isn't 'Resurect Morgrain' Whitemain already a submission?
Definitely not Baron, though. It's too wordy.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
Most likely someone already submitted the "resurrect Mograine" Sally because it is the first thing that springs to mind when you think about Sally Whitemane... alright, its the 2nd thought.
I think I will go through with the healer-Sally. Its simple and elegant.

Baron's effect seemed cool, but can't see where I would want to play it.. So my choice would have to be 2nd one, since i bet the 3rd is already posted.
Should I post them like this?
http://www.wowhead.com/npc=7267/chief-ukorz-sandscalp to see all his drops and their effects in vanilla WoW. If you played in vanilla you know people farmed Zul'Farrak 24/7 for Big Bad Pauldrons because of their look.
Flavor : "When his wife went missing, Mankrik took up quillboar-slaughter a full-time job. He always was one to hold a grudge..."
Summon : Where is my wife, swine ?!
Attack : To the slaughter !
Death : A warrior's... death.
Mankrik was a beloved characters of WoW Vanilla, that every Horde player met while crossing the Barrens. He is my fondest memories of the early days, and I wanted to make a tribute to this iconic character. When his wife was kidnapped by the quillboars, he picked up his blade and quested to retrieve her and kill her kidnappers. However, when he found her corpse, he vowed to dedicate his life to the annihilation of the quillboars, ordering you to bring him broken tusks he would keep as grizzly trophies of his sworn enemy.

Maybe a bit weak for a legendary? 1 more health than vanilla Yeti and give your opponent 3 minions, even though it's in hand. Maybe modify the Quillboars
The summon Mograine's been done a few pages back, and restoring health to all characters does seem interesting. Holy Champion was a card I was excited for that didn't turn out to be too competitive, so the healing variant looks interesting. The interaction with Soulpriest might be cool, as she becomes a nuke to anyone damaged but leaves undamaged minions unharmed, and since it happens at the end of your turn you have a bit more control.
Baron Ashbury might be too anti-aggro with 5 damage. Even if your opponent's board is full of high health minions as well, none of your minions can trade whilst utilizing the heal. so it needs to be toned down a notch. Also Holy Champion is 5 health, so she'd be dead before she can enjoy all the healing.
Lore-wise, this is awesome! Stat-wise, maybe a bit underpowered? For just 1 more health than a Yeti, you're giving your opponent 3 cards. I think he needs to be buffed in some way. Maybe the boars can be worse, or they have a Deathrattle that buffs you, so it's like "Yeah you get these 2-drops, but do you really want to play them against me?"
To be honest BOTH Fallenroot Satyr and Sir Zeliek are on the stronger side. First one is a 2/2 for 2 that draws 2 *random* cards. The second one is a 6 mana 5/6 that draws you the card and tells you when to use it.
The Satyr is essentially a 2 mana 2/2. Battlecry: Add 2 random spells. Even though it's random, it should still be higher value. Nefarian gives you 2 spells, and he's a 9-mana 8/8, so the Satyr should be a 1/1, or at least a 2/1. True, there is a drawback, and I don't know if people would agree but Fel Reaver's discards don't really matter all that much unless you reach fatigue. What's in the hand matters way more, so maybe discard from the hand?
Sir Zeliek is very interesting, in the same family as Light of the Naaru or Muster in that it packages a lesser card in a much better one. I would love to try a Holy Wrath pally with a few giants for some 20 damage fun. Stat-wise it's way too strong. Grand Crusader is a 6-mana 5/5 "Add a random Paladin card to your hand", and this is essentially a 6-mana 5/6 "Draw a good Pally removal spell and you'll know when to use it". He should be weaker imo, even though he's a Legendary.
Thanks for replies. Wanted to keep him at 6 mana so you can't play him with the Wrath on turn 10 without Emperor, but maybe it's not a big deal? Stats may still be a little strong, but he is kinda a RNG card. Need to keep the Holy Wrath effect because in the Naxxramas fight he uses Holy Wrath, and he was a Paladin before he got Mind Controlled/Corrupted
Hi, anyone did Plague Gargoyle yet? Here is my idea, based on its ability Stoneskin (couldnt exactly make it as is explained in comments, but i think this is as close as possible) ;-) So i give u, ultimate anti agro card! :D taunt it and profit! :D ok not so easy to pull that off in time, but can be cool no ?:)

I agree with both of these evaluations. The satyr is insanely OP—if you discarded from your hand, he'd be balanced. That'd also be more interesting than just replacing two random cards from your deck with random spells in your hand.
I like Zeliek better, and it's a great idea to get some use out of Holy Wrath, but I would make a few changes. First, just a lore thing, but Zeliek is an evil death knight, not a holy paladin. Maybe some Scarlet Crusade NPC would fit better? Second, consider this card's place in the broader context of the deck that would likely use it. Unlike Light of the Naaru and Muster for Battle, which give you cards that aren't worth a slot in a deck by themselves, this gives you Holy Wrath, which is not only a potentially high-impact nuke but also has a cantrip effect—so Zeliek is a 5-mana body that gives you valuable information about your draws and a big nuke and another draw from your deck. Played in the late gam, when you already have one Holy Wrath in hand, it could be devastatingly powerful. I think the body should be weaker and it should probably cost a little more too.
Sir Zeliek is an undeadpaladin who seemingly resisted being turned into a Death Knight like the other Horseman due to his powerful faith. Sir Zeliek is located in Naxxramas. He is killable in the Four Horsemen encounter.
It seems as though Sir Zeliek managed to retain his sanity despite Kel'Thuzad's corruption, but still his body obeys the Lich King's lieutenant
According to Commander Eligor Dawnbringer's lecture in Wintergarde Keep, Zeliek is, "so strong in his faith, that even in undeath, the power of the light still heeds his call, smiting his foes in battle."
Another concept for an NPC that WoW players would recognize. It's the one who will SAVE US ALL!
Summon: "Not again!"
Summon: "I. Gamon. Will save us!" Summon against Rogue: "Try and pickpocket me now!"
A 2-mana 0/4 is a crappy Shieldbearer, but if you fail to kill him in one blow he will transform into a 4/4 with Charge.
Lore-wise, Gamon was Ogrimmar's punching bag, up until Blizzard patched him to become a high-level Elite. If you drop him turn 2, not a lot of things can remove him instantly, so if you don't have Shadow Word: Pain or Flamecannon for example, you either sit there until you can deal with Gamon Elite the turn it comes up or get stalled. Maybe it can be considered anti-aggro?
Late game, he seems useless. 4 damage in one hit is easy, but he's Ogrimmar's punching bag because YOU would like to hit him too. Mage hero power, Warrior's misc. whirlwind effects and other similar cards instantly turn him into a 4/4 Charge. You can also give him some attack (e.g. Abusive Sergeant) and have him ram into a 3 attack card, transforming into a 4/4 Charge which can attack yet again.
Question is, is he balanced?
I would like to keep Gamon's health above 3 so there's fewer removal options (and you can't just ram your 3/2s in), but is Gamon Elite balanced as a 4/4 Charge? Stat wise he's a better Kor'Kron Elite, but arguably not as easy to put into play, and if Gamon Elite comes out on the opponent's turn, the Charge is meaningless.
@ thebangzats - I think it is a little too easy to trigger the effect. Especially if you are playing mage or warrior, who can very easily do 1 damage to him on your own turn. I think it might be more balanced if he transforms at the start of your turn if he's damaged. Maybe then give him an extra health, too.
