This is the Discussion Topic. The Submission Topic is here. (Please Read the Submission Topic first.)
Hello everybody! This topic is for discussion of Week #26 of our Weekly Card Design Competition. One of the awesome things about this competition is that it gets us all talking about what makes a card balanced, fun, realistic, interesting, unique, innovative, exciting, and more. However, to make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of this week's entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your card? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's cards? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
WARNING:
Please refrain from the following...
Advertising Your Card. This is a new rule during Season 2. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your card only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is balanced?". Yes, getting feedback on your card is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your card for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.
So, without further ado, have fun and get creating!
My card for this week, text inspired by Nat Pagle. Wanted to keep it clean and common this week, as most submissions through all the weeks are like Epic and Legendary :P But it's still a card people would play, Antonidas mages, Inner Fire Priests or like any other class that likes a mini-Innervate. And something interesting, for the dude going first to be able to get The Coin.
A 0 Attack minion that really is a threat because of the recurring effect. Is even a threat later in the game and a great but not unbalanced(?) turn 1 play.
Swamp Talker:(artist: Sephiroth-Art) Can help other then warlock decks to pump out murlocs, cause u dont need to draw a lot of cards, just use your hero power.
Im pretty happy with him as he is now, but do u have any thoughts before i submit him ?:)
The creature looks like a cute Murloc, but there is no background. How good are you at Photoshop or similar software? You could blend a swamp like landscape behind it and make it look good. Also you can also call it Swamp Speaker, Swamp Whisperer or Swamp Orator, isn't Speaker often used when talking with the elements and animals? :P
But wth, already 5 cards with Inspire.. Don't know if this is a good or bad thing..

I have ZERO skill with photoshop and alike :D i can do basic stuff in MS paint, but that aint gona look good. I named it "Swamp Talker" cause according to wowwikki it is one of the "named" murlocs (and he summons some guy for u to help u fight, so it kinda fits my ability), and being legendary, it should have an unique name and i was goin for a bit of a lore-friendly this time :D
A card that requires an answer. It will mitigate at least 11 damage. On par with Healing Touch. Good against aggro, and will pull answers from a deck like freeze mage. What do you guys think?

Interesting, i almost want to say it is too strong, but maybe it isnt :) u seem to have hit the middle between OP and OK :)

Wow, that actually looks amazing :D thx kind sir <3
"Don't tell anybody. He's not even a real knight, and that's not even a real horse!"
Overview: Stormwind Rider is a very interesting card for Paladin. It has Charge, Divine Shield, and Taunt. However it has 0 attack, which means it has no prominent offensive capabilities when it is by itself. However, when combined with other cards is where it shines.
Balance: Stormwind Rider is mainly a combo piece used in midrange Paladin for massive tempo swings. However if you do not have any of those pieces, Stormwind Rider at least blocks 2 attacks from your opponent. So it probably has the same stopping power of Shieldbearer.
Synergies: Blessing of Might turns this into a 3/2 with Charge, Divine Shield, and Taunt. If that was the card, it would be worth at least 4 mana. However it does cost two cards, so you need to decide whether or not it is worth it. Same with Blessing of Kings, having a 4/6 with Divine Shield, Taunt, and Charge is insane on turn 5. That's worth maybe 7 mana! But again, you use two cards in the process.

Noooooooo go away, again super comboy card for BoK/BoM :D dont want to see this value combo at all :D
btw i got someone elses attachment in my submission post :D lol someone trying to hijack my 0 votes! :D
I think you can decrease the cost, you need to activate the effect with Hero Power, and THEN wait to see what your opponent does, and your opponent has control over it.
On the other hand, looks like 90% of all submissions this week are gonna include the new Inspire keyword this week, so making your card with Inspire won't make it any more unique, because everyone is doing it..
I understand everyone is wetting their panties over Inspire, but lets hope it doesn't make this week's theme the "Inspire Week", that should come later when at least all the cards from Blizzard is out

Well Blessing of Kings and Might are rarely played in the super competitive Paladin decks, especially Might. So this might open up with a new way to play Paladin.
Also the synergy with Redemption means you'll need to attack into it 4 full times to get through it.

I think you can reduce the mana cost to at least 4. Wouldn't be OP on Turn 4 because the enemy hero has probably not lost much health.

This theme was decided several days ago. Also, it's probably good to wait a bit so we really see how Blizzard values Inspire.
Well many cards will have it anyway i think, im working on one right now :) I see u already have it done as bolded keyword, good job :D

My Idea. Maybe decrease the cost... What's your opinion?
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.

Why force Inspire onto it? Why not just battlecry? Very unique effect. Maybe make it 4 mana with taunt?
