For those of you that are just joining us, we Fan Creation Forum moderators are putting on a Hearthstone fan design competition like no other, where users vie for the title of Class Design Champion. During Phase I, the competition was entirely open, and users were able to submit their proposals for brand new Hearthstone Classes, along with unique Hero Powers and example class cards to show us what their proposed classes had to offer. Regular HearthPwn users like you voted on which proposals they wanted to see more from, and from over 120 entries, an amazing 38 competitors were granted the opportunity to advance to Phase II.

Since then, our remaining competitors have been hard at word crafting the 10-card Basic Sets for their new Hero Classes. The cards may be Basic, but that doesn't mean that this round wasn't a challenge. After all, to promote consistency with real Hearthstone classes and their Basic Sets, competitors were not allowed to include class-specific keywords (like Choose One, Combo, or Overload) or other advanced keywords (like Deathrattle, Secret, or Silence). Each remaining custom Class is presented here, represented by their Hero and by three example cards from the class's Basic Set.

Important Note: Because of the sheer volume and density of the material here, we want to give you more time to thoroughly look over all of the entries that pique your interest, so that you don't feel rushed and can feel confident that you're making better-informed decisions. Therefore, this Phase of the competition will have a 48-hour Poll Topic rather than a 24-hour one. Phases III and IV will be similarly adjusted, and the contest schedule will be updated accordingly.
That means this Poll ends Wednesday, July 8th, at 19:00 UTC.

 It's still there if you'd like to continue having any conversations that you were having over there. It's just not sticky any more is all. With Poll Topics being open for general competition discussion, we want to avoid unnecessary sticky clutter.

How was the order decided?

I don't think I like the poll thread's layout. I would have prefered if the entire post, or at least the rest of the cards would be included within a spoiler.

 Agreed. I think it would have been better in some form like this. If only you could have nested spoilers...

Yep I agree with Zukuu, maybe some cards in this way lack of impact on voters considering the whole mechanics involved.
Anyway, GL to all the contenders!

 I just want to say to anyone really interested in voting in this and the classes you should certainly check the Submission thread to get the whole picture. Its hard to make the most informed vote off 3 preview cards. Its a lot to read through, but its worth it to really get the idea.

Well, originally, it was just going to be the Hero Portraits linked to their corresponding Submission Topic post, but I decided I'd put in the extra time and effort to get your example cards up ahead of time too so that they could better serve exactly their purpose, to give folks a little taste of what you had to offer this Phase and interest them in clicking the link to your submission post to find out more. Remember, exactly why we have the poll lasting longer is to give folks the time to check out those submission post links and see everything you've been up to in the way that you have presented it rather than in the way that we would present it.

As for why hero powers weren't included, that was because (A) They already got judged during Phase I and (2) the variance in Hero Powers, like which ones produce tokens and how many and what kinds and with what custom keywords that also need explaining, meant that was going to be very difficult to display in a consistent and aesthetically pleasing way. So, like your non-example cards, I'm hoping people take the time to follow the giant links to your submission posts to find out more.

 I like that better actually. As it stands, it's out of context and many will vote just based on the 3 sample cards. It would enforce that people  see the actual class as a whole. Makes sense given the increased time span.
