Card Design ChampionYo Hearthpwn, check out this Trainer class concept I'm making. It isn't really a class concept exactly, since it doesn't follow the correct class format; I just want to make every single Pokemon a Hearthstone card.

I appreciate comments and feedback of any kind. I aim to make these minions somewhat balanced but still powerful (as the class doesn't have many spells - minion-based). Keep in mind that these are class minions, so I think a bit of powercreep is inevitable.
I'm going to update this thread with future generations as I make them. Thanks for checking it out!
PS: Is that considered 'thread necromancy'? Is it ok to update posts like that, even after some time has passed? I think a generation update should take about 1-3 days for me.

The circumstances surrounding necromancy are always vague - in this case, I'd say it would be perfectly fine to update the thread when you've created a new generation. Some really cool ideas here, and I like that they're thematically sound.

I like a lot of the ideas, but to be honest it just feels like too many cards. Maybe if you focused on a few of the best ones and matched them up to expansions I wouldn't feel like they blend together so much.

Why are the megas not legendary status? I'd love to see your take on Gym Leaders and their hero powers.

Some pretty cool ideas, but I feel like you could definitely introduce a unique keyword ability that had something to do with evolving, where you'd have to fulfill certain conditions in order to evolve them to the next stage. e.g: Evolve: at the end of your turn, have three other minions in play. This trigger would obviously transform the minion into the next stage. Just spitballing some ideas to make them a little more true to the game.

I initially decided that the whole 'evolving' thing would complicate the game immensely. And maybe I couldv'e introduced a Mega Evolve keyword, since the fact that those cards usually have too much text just rustles my jimmies ever so much. But I'm too far in at this point to change anything.
I really like these ideas. If Hearthstone could colab with Pokemon I would die with happiness. Such a cool idea! I really like all the Mega Evolutions but they seem extremely hard to activate since you need two of the same pokemon. This probually took forever to do! Cant wait to see Gen 5 :)
Really love these ideas. You might consider a specfic spell Mega Stone instead of having to run 2 cards, as well as a spell that allows pokemon to transform into their next stage, possibly activating their Battlecry if they have one.
