Pretty much a reusable SI:7 Agent for 1 more mana. If her Fatality is triggered, she returns to your hand and costs 2 mana less, which can be handy for setting up combos.
New mechanic: Manalock. Your mana crystals are locked unless unlocked via a card mechanic, or until the card with Manalock is killed or silenced.
Balance talk: new game mechanics allow the creation of seemingly "overpowered" cards. Here this gives many options for both players at turn 4: do I kill this 5/5? Do I leave it up so opponent doesn't unlock both crystals? Do I attack face or do i attack that 2/3 to unlock a crystal?
Let's have another go this week. I present Arcane Seeker, no lore background this time. Probably a tech option against agressive decks or maybe something for control decks featuring buffs?
If this card and another minion trade and both die, The Guardian will not be saved due to the fatality happening after the action has already been completed. fair because at 3 mana, lots can survive 2 damage to trade effectively. good risk/reward payoff.
Has some synergy with Shadowstep, discourages your opponent from trading minions into it, I think this card would see play in more aggressive oil decks.
So my idea about this card is that it's a "shrine keeper" and her duty is to protect the shrine from evil and such. But because she is so pure and religious she wouldn't be able to live with herself if she ever killed someone, therefor commiting suicide. A card based on something dark but I hope you like it :)
Balance talk: Well, she insta-dies to any minion getting killed so I think 3 mana is fine. If we compare it to Lost Tallstrider it's 1 mana cheaper but isn't a Beast (-0,25 mana), this minion is a class minion (-0,5 mana) but has taunt (+0,5 mana). So without the Fatality, this minion would be about 3,75 mana. However the fatality is a huge downside as it can get killed by so, so many minions. Therefor I think it's balanced to subtract AT LEAST 0,75 mana. Please don't compare it to Booty Bay Bodyguard because that card is awful. Balance creeping on bad cards is pretty much inevitable.
I hope you like it and please vote ^^ I would understand if you thought it was imbalanced, but I hope you at least like the idea behind the card and therefor give me your vote anyway ;)
After the fourteenth spike and the eighth whirling blade, the commentators stopped calling it her "sword".
I like how the Upgrade effect works here; it's either a strong one time effect with other weapons (the usual case), or as a "Build your own Assassin's Blade" if you're building around Fatality (Rampage shenanigans?) and can get multiple kills.
The card is not made to be played against a big turn 6/7 minion, it´s function is to stop agression and maintain a strong minion in the battelfield.
I'll put you in a battle context:
You attack the biggest minion in the enemy side with Tyrande (to kill it), then (if the situation is favourable) you'll kill the rest of the minions with the sentinels. They will probably die, and if you can suicide enough, Tyrande will be surely prepared for another turn.
And what happens in the enemy´s turn after you play the card? If he wants to sacrifice his minions to kill Tyrande it´s not your problem, he is the one who will face the big number of Sentinels you will have... But if he has a spell to destroy her you are ruined.
Hope you like my card, i will surely vote my favourite ones... Can't wait for the final results!!! :D
Edition: Added "Taunt" and changed Tyrande Whisperwind's attack to 4. Changed Night elve Sentinel's "Deathrattle" to restore 1 health instead of 3 to Tyrande.
The Avatar's effect would have to exclude itself as a probable target for its effect. Only one effect can be copied at a time. Its possible that the effect would remain as is if there are few minions on board.
Changed the Avatar's effect to a much more RNG-ish effect.

There are far scarier things than darkness...

More options = more gameplay variety :)
If you're happy and you know it... well that's good :)

No, it was not the 'Playful Sprites'.
