You're going to need to give an example of what you think this card would do. As it is I'm not sure how it's supposed to be different from the weapon destroying cards already in the game. And I don't see why it would need to be cheaper than Ooze.
It wouldn't surprise me if we see one in an upcoming set (especially if folks are still @$^$%^ing about Patron warrior) - but I suspect there would need to be a few more weapons before Blizzard does this.
I think whatever card did so would be so extremely niche that it would never see actual play.
I'm assuming what you're saying is something like stripping the life gain off the paladin weapon or taking the deathrattle off Death's Bite, but not affecting the attack or durability.
its good against DB, you could run two of them as opposed to harrison. you could silence your ogre warmup, your opponents hunter weapons, SoJ, truesilver, etc.

My soul is painted like the wings on butterflies, the fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die. I can fly, my friends.
Ah, okay, I understand what kind of effect you're talking about now. I'm still fairly certain no one would play it, but I get what you're talking about now. I do like the warmaul interaction, though that seems a bit weak of an effect for a card slot.
My issue with this idea is that the number of instances that silencing a weapon is going to be better than just destroying it is going to be very low. Sure, silencing a Death's Bite and stripping them of the whirlwind is good, but is leaving them with a 4 attack weapon really better than just killing it and eating the whirlwind? How much stuff do they need to have in play before it's better to let them keep the weapon and kill the whirlwind? And Death's Bite is basically the only weapon where there could ever be a reason to silence it instead of destroying it (your own weapons excluded of course, though those would also be rare situations).
yeah i see your point, maybe in future when there are more weapons with relevant death rattles (or war maul-like abilities) it will be a very useful ability to have.

Powermace is another, but I agree that it's a niche enough effect that I can't imagine it getting any play.

I guess it would be good, if silence on weapon didnt just remove the card text, but buffs as well (Rogues Oil/Poison etc). But this ability would still have to be on some rly good body with reasonable mana cost or noone would play it anyway.

It would probably need to be a decent vanilla minion, like a 4/3 for 3 or a 6/5 for 5.
I was thinking that it would be cool to have a minion or a spell that silences weapons, any thoughts?

uh with have ooze and Harrison whats the point of silencing a weapon?
Harrison Jones and Slime do just that.
it could be cheaper, a bit more niche

Nothing doing, traveler.

You could always have both in your deck.
Everyone talking about destroying weapons, did we forget about freeze? Bam, silenced for a turn!

Fair point, though I can't imagine the meta ever getting to the point where I want so many of this kind of effect that I would play both.
Ah, right, I forgot about that card.

Maybe it can also interact with Stormforged Axe by reading: "weapons do not have effects" or something
You could play another weapon destroying your Death's Bite and procing the whirlwind, which is done quite often. Not silence.
The card would have to be like Earth Shock, where you silence then destroy a weapon.
