It's a tough job to be an assassin when you smell of rotting flesh. (Works like Blessing of Wisdom; silences the enemy minion before it actually attacks)
This is one of those answers to the Deathrattle zoo floods, among other things.
Targeting: when you are choosing the minion to target, you will see two minions to the right light up. Then, you'll see a golden shield with a trail of golden light hit a target, silence and damage it, then it will do the same thing, and finally, the shield returns to Uther.
EDIT: I knew someone would already have done one based on the paladin ability (just scrolled through the other entries). But I made it 8 months ago:
Flavor Text: "Silence on the K'arani Terrace is not requested, it is required."
~ Cards with the above mentioned effects played in the opponents following turn would enter the field of play in the same manner as those spawned by Piloted Shredder and [card]Piloted Sky Golem[/card]. Meaning that cards played with Deathrattle, Charge or Battlecry would enter play as a vanilla card. Letting you steer the early game in your favour or creating awkward turns for your opponent later on.
Priests can have a whole lot of silence cards to make use of this effect. The irony is this card will always die to earth shock. it's a 5 mana board clear with mass dispel which hasn't been seen in ranked for ages, it's 1 mana less that lightbomb but requires 2 cards and one of which is a legendary but it does clear everything so there's that, plus it might buff up Ishanah quite a lot. This also supports a controlish aggro priest if you have Silence in your hand you can have a 3/3 on turn 1 while removing your opponents turn 1 minion. You can also turn 1 Ishanah turn 2 ironbeak owl for a badass early board presence. Wouldn't it be swell to have a legendary that you can mulligan for if you so choose, but seriously that mass dispel combo would be the next soulpriest circle combo.
Based on the current number of silences in the game this card wouldn't be OP. However if more were to come with it, it would be better to make it a Legendary. Also made it viable to play with wailing soul by making its effect permanent but still being weak to silences targeted at buffs from other cards.
(Also ignore the non warcraft picture and name, couldn't rly think of anything fitting for a silence card, just wanted to add the mechanic)
I love this minion, just because of the attention to lore I was able to put in while keeping it a viable card.
First of all: You find him at the end of a library. Silence in the library and whatnot. Two of his most prominent abilities in his fight are Silence and Detonation - both AoE, both very powerful. I felt that this wording worked best, as by allowing it to hit your own minions as well it weakens the card, but allows it to retain it's comeback potential.
Not only that, but it's a great anti-aggro card, taking care of any deathrattles you don't want going off. It also works well as a Mage card, as in addition to him being a mage, AoE is also very prominent in the Mage class in Hearthstone, and we have a similar effect found in Flame Leviathan already.

Let me change your mind

I am a servant of the world. And if I'm a servant, then you should consider yourself a tool, at best.
From what I know using a card in another competition is allowed as long as the card did not win. This is my submission (again).
I decided to make a Hunter card. This is my first time on the forums at Hearthpwn but I love making custom cards, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Explanation: Card is a cheap Hunter spell based off of the Silencing Shot ability of the same class from World of Warcraft.

Not entirely happy with the values, but I like the idea.
Control hunter needs some better tempo plays.
Just a simple +2/+2/+2 Spellbreaker, something you'd probably only see played in The Arena.
It's not the size of the ax that matters. It's how fast it can send your enemies running home scared.

You can find me here! Good luck everyone!
As a secret, I feel this fits the mage class the best.
