Monk is a very interesting class to me. I've played with my Gnome Mistweaver Monk in WoW for about one year, so all the cards I designed are mainly based on my understanding of this class in WoW.
I suppose Chi is the key for a monk, so I introduced this concept to this class and hope it to be a fascinating characteristic.
The second thought is about Taunt. Monk may have a plenty of minions with Taunt but with reflectively low Attack. Low Attack can be buffed with Chi and abilities, so these minions won't be so useless in game. Also, I'm going to design some interesting cards to restore heath to minions with Taunt, therefore they could be more powerful once you have other supportive minions on broad.

Hero Power: Meditation
* Chi can be restored over turns, but with a limitation of 5. It's a second resource for monk besides mana.
* Jab is a basic card and essential to provide Chi when dealing damage.
Tiger Palm
* Tiger Palm is like Druid's Wrath, but more efficient to draw cards with Chi.
Raising Sun Kick
* Good way to deal huge damage.
Spinning Crane Kick
Renewing Mist
* a typical HOT of Monk.
Brewing: Mana Tea
* In WoW, Mistweaver Monk is able to gain Mana Tea from the previous abilities which cost Chi and then consume Mana Tea to gain mana. I simplified this system into gaining mana through spending Chi.
Like the Chi mechanic, always been interested in a Monk class concept. Spinning Kick is literally Consecration though

Yep. I'm also considering to slightly change this ability, but I don't want it to be to complicated as a basic card.I finally decided to alter it to "deal 3 damage to each enemy minion with a cost of 5"
I thought up a few consept of Monk cards while thinking of a way to make your Spinning Crane Kick a more intresting card.
