Technically, we already have an army-of-one in the game in the form of Onyxia. She's big, and she fills the board with weenies, but I always wondered what it would be like to fill your side of the board with a bunch of effect minions right off the bat. Specifically, ones that aren't terribly overpowered but force your opponent to change their game up - if only for a little bit. Enter Magtheridon!
He's not particular meaty for a 10-mana. But his Battlecry is his very own horde! In short, his battlecry summons the following four minions immediately:
If you want to get rid of the Big Bad, you have to take care of his sub-minions first. They're more than manageable, but still have that annoying presence of being blatant targets. The Manticron Cube also has a "Countdown" effect on it - each turn, the number ticks down to 1, and when at 0 it takes effect. In short...not much different from the raid itself! And of course, Magtheridon's Deathrattle gives your opponent some potentially valuable loot:
Basically, it's a Lay on Hands for half the cost and increased risk. So...would you touch the pit lord's blood? >:)
