I am here to present my idea for a custom expansion, called Caverns of Time. Ironically, this idea started with King Kuba's post about the custom keyword Warp, which is the main keyword for the expansion. Also have in mind that I started creating these cards BEFORE King Kuba's announcement of his custom expansion, Escape From Elwynn.
This expansion features a lot of new mechanics and ways to play along with time. Lots of Dragons and legendary figures from the Warcraft universe, travelling through time to defeat one of two forces: The Bronze or the Infinite Dragonflight. Some other mechanics have been transformed into Keywords in Caverns of Time. 'Also damages the minions next to whomever this minion/your hero attacks' is now just "Cleave", and 'Can't be targeted by spells or hero powers' is now "Illusive".
Consider this expansion as the first one of the year of 2021.
Backstory: After the descent of dragons, Chronormu returned to the Caverns for her sacred duty of protecting the time alongside her brothers and sisters. But she was followed. Aeonus, one of Murozond's most loyal servants have invaded the timeless citadel and released chaos, unleashed the portals to other universes and timeways. Now, it's time for the Timewalkers and their allies to protect the timelines from such chaos.
This expansion contains: - 100 Class Cards (3 Commons, 3 Rares, 2 Epics and 2 Legendaries). - 35 Neutral Cards (20 Commons, 5 Rares, 4 Epics and 6 Legendaries). - A New Keyword - Warp: Card with Warp are visible and playable at the top of your deck. Sometimes have a special effect if Warped. - Two New Mechanics: Past and Future. - 1 Free Neutral Legendary - Magna Aegwynn.
The New Mechanics:
Warp: Cards with Warp are not only visible at the top of your deck, but playable. Sometimes, cards being Warped from time have a bonus effect!
If you play Pilgrim Apparition or Aessina's Aura both from the top of your deck or from your hand, their effects will be the same. Take Warped Netherwing for instance, that will deal 3 damage to all characters but ONLY if it was Warped.
Past: Some cards from the Wild Format can now be dragged from the past to help the Dragonflights on their objective of protecting or disrupting the timeways.
Future: Minions can be sent to the future, now returning in 1-3 turns (randomly).
Caverns of Time is not finished, but has way more cards than the ones featured in this thread! You can have access to every card here and here (for portuguese speakers).
