I'm not sold on the new keyword idea, but just musing: what if it just sat out the brawl (so it's not like those cards that have appeared in Tavern Brawls - always wins a brawl)? There would still be a winner of the brawl + any cards like this.
The keyword is fine. The example is not. The point is to force the opponent to trade rather than using brainless overpowered spells that destroyed your 8 mana minion for up to 6 mana less
Wouldn't 'Is immune to all spell effects' be better wording? Or is it targetable? Can it be 'Flik'ed?
Yes it can be Flik'ed
It's simple.
It can't be affected by spell related board clears of any kind.
I could see this being a one off card in warrior with flavour wording like 'Always wins the brawl!' or something along those lines, but I can't see it as a keyword. I'm not sure what you could do to build a set around it and make it interesting apart from it surviving AOE. Plus I think there is a bit of a gray area with not targeting spells like devolving missiles that don't actually cause damage but do clear the board in their own way.

Yeah I have better ideas then this I know its a bit inconsistent but it sounded good at the moment

Single target and aoe removal spells are not brainless or overpowered xD
Swing turns are part of the game, you just need to l2p and git gud
I don't hate the concept of a keyword which grants immunity to non-targeted effects (that seems to be what this is getting at). The minion can be targeted by something, but if there's no target, it doesn't get hit.
"Sticky" is a really terrible for such an effect, since it's more of a meta-textual term. All the other keywords have a within-world logic. Best example is Battlecry rather than "comes into play," where the name of the effect is figurative and makes sense in Azeroth, but doesn't describe perfectly the effect on the board. Sticky describes how it behaves on board, but frogs and oozes are sticky, rather than immune to non-targeted effects. A better term might be... Evasive. That conveys that the minion is getting out of the way of something hitting everyone else. But Evasive is in the name of a bunch of Cannot-be-targeted minions, so maybe a different name would be better. Could I suggest "Rooted"? Maybe it shows up on a lot of tree-like minions and some gargoyles and maybe a shaman Kelp Elemental... I just don't think Sticky does a good enough job of conveying "latched onto the battlefield."
Also, the example card is utter bat**** strong, and nothing like it should ever be printed. 4-mana 4/4 Divine Shield Cannot-be-targeted is already wicked strong, and adding the deathrattle and Sticky/Whatever to it is way over the top.
A keyword like this would have to be relatively sparing, a lot like Cannot-be-targeted. Mostly vanilla-ish minions, maybe with like taunt or whatever, but pretty plain. A few high-attack vanilla minions (maybe a 3-mana 5/1 rager), a big dumb minion or two like Evasive Drakonid or Tyrantus but with this other keyword, and done. It can't really be widespread, and the keyword has to be a huge part of the card budget.
I just came up with this keyword, someone may have made it before me but not to my knowledge.
Sticky: Cannot be damaged or destroyed by aoe/board clears of any kind. Minions that board clear are an exception.
Example:
Broken with brawl....
Great idea, impossible to implement. How would that work with Psychic Scream, Lightbomb, Brawl, Defile ?
Not if it was hall of famed or if brawl wasn't good in the meta for some reason but you're probably right.
It would just become immune when those cards are played.
So you want a minion that is completely unaffected by spells?
Sorry, but that is stupid
No that was just an example and single target spells would still work
Thank god you guys dont work at blizzard

The card is good i think i will take it, proceeds to use Cabal Acolyte + Wave of Apathy !

Just a thought.
*Opponent concedes.*

How about defining the keyword as "Immune unless targeted". It's much simpler than how you described it.
OTK players suck.

Sounds like someone just lost a 45 minute priest matchup.
