Welcome, one and all, to Quest Givers Anonymous, a Hearthpwn Custom Adventure Competition!
We are currently on Wing Three.
This is a very lengthy post. Take your time viewing, there is no need to rush.
We have six amazing entries, all featured below! For this contest, you can vote for as many as you like, and vote totals will be carried over to each subsequent wing.
"Step Into Darkness", by MrBurger
Adventurer! We need your help once again! Near Stormwind City, in mountains leading to Burning Steppes, unexpected earthquakes took place. Our scouts reported apperance of a giant hole, which is enlarging. They also said they heard whispers from it. We're not sure what that means, maybe that's true what they say, but maybe something made them crazy. But if so, we still need somebody to solve this problem. That person will of course get price. So, would you help us?
This works like Corruption. You play a card, but the effect triggers later. Also, there's a new race added in this adventure - Frogaen. They are people who look like frogs.
Wing Three: The Tongueburg City
"You see? That's my home! Tongueburg! Hmm... Maybe you will go first? I will be just after you," said Groag.
Even if you and Groag finally reached his home, he looks even more stressed than during fight with King Bolethal. Anyway, you have no choice, but to go to the entrance.
First Boss: Guardian Glaebo
"What are you doing here, human? Wait, who is after you? Groag!? How do you dare to come back after your betrayal? Well, i liked you, but you leave me no choice. Prepare for fight!"
Crowds have gathered, happy that the mad king was finally defeated. Looks like they already have chosen their new king: Groag, the Redeemer! But, your journey didn't end yet. Groag told you about the ancient sanctuary, fully made of crystals. Its leader is an oracle with great knowledge. She may answer your questions.

Wing Three : The Swamp of Sorrows
With the garden gnome-obsessed fire mage now in their party, the trio march onwards to the Swamp of Sorrows. While it was a change of scenery, it certainly wasn't for the better. What awaits them in this watery wasteland?
First Boss: The Wicked Wind Serpent
Boss Behaviour
You start with this Hero Power:
Crocolisk Token:
Barely an hour has gone past when the trio find a ferocious battle raging. A titanic, skeletal wind serpent bears down on a draenei priest, who is doing her best to keep the monster at bay.
The draenei anchorite explains that there is an evil entity at work in these swamp, seeking to unleash a powerful demon on Azeroth. But, to get to their quarry, they must first pass by the Temple of Atal'hakkar. The trolls within do not take kindly to intruders.
You start with this Hero, Hero Power, Quest, and minion in your side of the battlefield:
Elemental Token:
"There she is!" the draenei exclaims. "For too long have you cowered in the darkness, hiding behind your brother. At last, you show your face, Lulubelle Fizzlebang!"
The gnome warlock giggles. "You'll find me a little tougher than poor old Wilfred. Jaraxxus, go get 'em!"
Greetings, Adventurer! I am Mariscal Lord Garithos, time traveler and guide of the Human race.
In the ominous future I come from, a Horde of wretched monsters came from another world and destroyed our precious Azeroth. Many other calamities followed that invasions, and now Undead and Demons alike walk over once sacred lands.
That's why I came to this time: If we attack their world before they attack ours, History can turn very differently. Follow me through this portal and help me to claim Draenor in the name of the Holy Light!
Our first step is Terokkar Forest, home of twisted monstrosities like the Arakkoa.
Wing Three: Holy City of Shattrah
After defeating the Orcs at Warspear Citadel, Garithos and his army arrive to the Holy City of Shattrah.
Even if Draenei tend to be dedicated Paladins just like Garithos, it's quite likely that they won't get along well...
"Tales of wonder, whispers the sea. Tales of plunder, robbery and thieves! Tales about pirates, burly and mean! And among them a Rogue engineer. Leading the Defias, the fearsome VanCleef! But as every reign of terror, condemned to fall. As with every failure, gold left behind. So who's the brave, who'll claim the treasure? Pirates from all nations, will raid Ironclad! But most of them are fated to fail, due to the path being a treacherous trail! Through the Vile Reef you must battle, the Stranglethorn Vale you must survive! And only then the dreaded Deadmines you'll finally find! But be careful, because dead man tell no tales... about the treasures of VanCleef."
The adventure presents the Burst Mechanic, an ability that some minions have that let them make an special action whenever they want during your turn... but the catch is, that only once! So find the perfect moment to use a minion's Burst ability!
Wing Two: The Deadmines
After crossing the Stranglethorn Vale, you finally arrive to the Deadmines. But, proceed with caution! it seems that Vanessa, the daughter of VanCleef, has already taken possession of the treasure! Teach her and her loyal bodyguards that herencies mean nothing to you!
Hold, lad. There's an inscription on the dais. It's a warning. It says, "Whomsoever takes up this blade shall wield power eternal. Just as the blade rends flesh, so must power scar the spirit."
Hey there and welcome to a new custom adventure - Fate of Lordaeron. Some of you who have played Warcraft 3 might have already recognized the quote above – it refers to nothing else than the Frostmourne - the bane of Lordaeron, the dread blade of the Lich King. This expansion takes us back before the era of the Lich King as we know him, back to the last days of Lordaeron and the last days of prince Arthas as its defender.
This adventure will follow the old Naxxramas and Blackrock and thus feature no new Keyword. But what does it bring?
Return of Knights of the Frozen Throne mechanics – Being close to Icecrown and the undead Scourge some cards bring their mechanics back – namely Secret Deathrattles, Defile – style re-casting cards and of course - FREEZE SHAMAN!
New Mechanic - Though not a Keyword you can still Discover a new Mechanic for this expansion as you venture deeper into the cold north…
Fate of Lordaeron - Follow the story of Arthas and learn how he became the Lich King, or perhaps discover a different path and save the Kingdom…
Wing Three: Back to the Shores
You and your men have been ordered to recall the expedition and return home. But what if there are no ships to return on...
First Boss: Mercenary Commander
You can't sink all your ships on your own, convince these mercenaries to accept your offer.
This boss has 5 seperate little boss fights. The order in which you fight them is always the same.
When you defeat one Boss it goes Immune until a start of its next turn and is replaced by next. The next Boss retains board and mana, but gains a new Hero Power and replaces his hand with three cards from its own separate deck.
The time has come to bring your whole fleet down. Sink all five ships to secure your goal.
Boss Behaviour Starts the battle with Ice Block on their side of the battlefield.
Once you activate it the following dialogue will occur:
The Guardian:Turn away... before it's... too late.
Arthas:Still trying to protect the sword, are you?
The Guardian:No... trying to protect you... from it.
You now have 2 choices (Both are replayable, of course):
1. The obvious one - Wait until next turn, then kill the Guardian, claim boss reward - Frostmourne and unlock Wing 4
2. The hidden one - Turn away - Concede - Claim Wing Reward - The Guardian and unlock Wing 5
The Wing Victory Dialog also changes, depending on your choice:
1. Frostmourne Way -
Muradin:Hold, lad. There's an inscription on the dais. Oh no, that blade is cursed. Leave it be Arthas...
2. Guardian Way -
The Guardian: A wise move, I will attempt to reinforce your base. Make haste mortals for there are plenty of allies to be found in the north. Together you may yet stand against the Death itself...
Trapped in the frozen North, surrounded by enemies and now without an escape route. Seems like the sword of legends - Frostmourne is your only chance, but its guardian will not part with it easily...
"In the deepest forest lays a grove of emerald, a flourishing domain of ethereal peace. But the place has been cast in a gloomy slumber and there's no comming back for those who fall asleep. Hurry adventurers before the land despairs ! Come to follow your dreams and face your worse nightmares !"
This adventure is inspired by the Emerald Dream and Emerald Nightmare, as well as the events of the War Against the Nightmare. It will feature a new keyword : Phantasm which lets you add an extra copy of the card to your deck. Players would be given 3 copies of common/rare/epic cards with Phantasm and 2 copies of legendary cards with the keyword. The number of cards in a deck would still be 30 as Phantasm would only affect the number of copies of a card that can be added to a deck.
Wing Three: The Puppetmasters
Coming out from the shadows are the ones who pull the strings. The mist, the nightmares, it's all their fault ! But are they the real masterminds or just agents sent here by a more powerful evil ?
Can you bring the schemers down ?
Greenskin finally managed to dock his ship into the Stranglethorn shores! But, don't think that your adventure is coming to an end! To arrive to the Deadmines, you'll need to cross the Stranglethorn Jungle, plagued with ferocious beasts and murlocs!
First Boss: The Crow
Master of machinations and delegating hard work. This trickster wields a Secret deck with a few Lackeys thrown in the mix.=
The Competition Process, as stated above, is slated to be one wing per two weeks with a voting period of 3 days, leaving a total of 11 days for card creation. Five wings will take a total of 10 weeks. This is a tentative estimate and the moderators will be continually monitoring the flow of the competition.
Phase One, Wing One: January 4th — January 16th Voting period: January 16th — January 18th
Phase Two, Wing Two: January 18th — January 30th Voting period: January 1st — February 3rd
Phase Three, Wing Three: February 3rd — February 16th Voting period: February 16th — February 18th
Phase Four, Wing Four: February 18th — March 1st Voting period: March 1st — March 3rd
Phase Five, Wing Five: March 3rd — March 15th Voting period: February 15th — March 17th
Great job as always, @McF4rtson, but I found a few issues:
Class challenge from farseer nobundo from @Wailor's Farseeer Nobundo is mage.
The wing three of @Klipce's Emerald Dreams and Nightmares has also the description of my wing 2 (Stranglethorn under the true description). Also I'm kinda nitpicky here but at the first boss The Crow there's an = symbol after the point that shouldn't be there.
You forgot those two dialogues after defeating Vanessa in my adventure (I putted them just before the Vanessa and Defias Raider rewards, after the third boss):
Wasn't able to come home in time to pick up the typos, sorry. Gratz to Klipce, though, I think you might be pulling ahead. I will have the submission and discussion threads up tomorrow morning.
Once again, two challenges:
One of your showcase cards must not use any keywords, but must be a minion.
Galakrond's Awakening is a little different from past adventures where only the Heroic fights have you play as a base hero with a deck you construct yourself. Some of you (I think mostly just me) have already had a few boss fights where your hero is replaced with a special one. As such, one of your boss fights must incorporate this mechanic. Furthermore, this alternate hero will be automatically showcased (along with its Hero Power) as a 4th card. If it up to you if you want to make a special deck for the player to use in this fight.
We have six amazing entries, all featured below!

Tiny nitpick regarding "Conquest of Draenor" though: isn't it Shattrath rather than Shattrah?
