First of all, congratulations to MrBurger for choosing our theme waaaaaay back in December, before we all got busy.
This week, it's time to mix and match across species lines; You must combine two minion type synergies into one card.
Your card may be in any class or card type, but must either synergize with a minion type other than it's own or synergize with multiple minion types if it's not a minion.
Below is a list of all the deadlines for this contest:
Preview Phase (Jan. 14, 2020 [10:00 PM CST] - Jan. 15, 2020 [10:00 PM CST]) The Discussion Topic is made available, previewing this week's competition theme. Entry and Early Voting Phase (Jan. 15, 2020 [10:00 PM CST] - Jan. 19, 2020 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be unlocked. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like! Voting Phase (Jan. 19, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Jan. 20, 2020 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites! Final Phase (Jan. 20, 2020 [10:00 PM CST] - Jan. 21, 2020 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a Finalists Thread will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Finalists Thread, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and a poll to decide the winner of the competition!
Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. As a rule of thumb, please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Hey ! Nice to see the return of the WCC ! I've got a first draft that I like but it's a character (and artwork) that I already used in the past so I'm not sure about it...
Also it would be yet another Deathwing so kinda boring. Still, I like the design. What do you think ?

Don't you want to say "All other minions"?
In any case, interesting effect, although I can't see how Elementals have anything to do with this card.

I think the murloc works. I made something similar a while back, I think the main thing to worry about is which tribe (or tribes) the minion would end up with. Is it Murloc, Mech or both ? Either way it seems balanced and interesting.
So thank you @Nohva for your feedback but I since came up with a new idea that I'm much more excited about.
Behold :
I love the flavor baked into this card but I'm not sure about the balance. Most extrem case that I see is Deathwing and Faerie Dragon but even then it doesn't seem far from Barnes with Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound and it still requires proper deck building. What do you think ?

I also dig the flavor of this card. It's like they are fighting over who gets to eat the pig. It's definitely a card I could see them releasing a similar variant of one day. The stats and effect are very balanced for each other because like you stated, you could get something like a 12/9 Deathwing as early as turn 4, or you could get, for example, a 4/4 Ysera and a 4/4 Kalecgos. Awesome card.
2 in a row and any control deck kick you butt, its slow, but, when it comes is just, kill me now, or kill this and heal up in the same turn or you are dead. A bit opresive

this could be huge, 8 mana summon malygos and 18 your opponents face with esvicerate, and you can go crazy with Togwaggle's Scheme summon 2 malygoses and then otk your opponent, this feels like a roge minion, (other classes can abuse this i know, but, rogue is insane here)
It swaps attack and health between them, not attack and health to themselves.
no golden cards, is in the rules, the effect is potentially strong, things like Firefly could become 1 mana 12/12 add a 1/2 to your hand. I like the card, but not sure about the cost

so 4 mana get a 4/8 malygos, 4/8 ysera, and a 2/2 beast? This card would never see the light of day

With Earthsong Staff I'm trying to get Splitting Axe and the totem buffs going. Started with 0-Attack as I thought it would be fun for the memes on Desert Obelisk Alarm-o-BotGurubashi Offering and other unused 0-Attack minions, but I think it's bit too limited. This might be dangerous in aggressive builds though?
Two of Shaman's most notable tribes are Totems and Elementals, but the two never cross over.
So I did a thing.
Was going to be a summoner (like Primalfin Totem), but most Elemental synergy runs from playing them, not just summoning them, so I feel something like this could give Elemental Shaman a good nudge. With its cheap cost, you could also splash it into aggressive Shaman decks to give you a little bit more refill during early game.
Alright, let's do some quick comments, in reverse order!
@hikarigami I'd argue that if this is going to both produce continued value and be playable turn one, the Elemental either needs to be 1m 1/1 or 2m 2/2, as most classes won't be able to remove this before it can get any value. You can keep the 1m 2/2 token statline if the totem costed more (And probably has more health). I think this generally works conceptually though, like it!
@Hereharehere I like the concept of Mechemist (It'd need a battlecry tag), though I think it's worth asking if they attach in a sort of Arcane Missile fashion or only go one mech to one demon if you have more than one? The Earthsong Staff is interesting. Would it count as playing an elemental if you threw down a Tunnel Trogg for your Elemental bonuses? These both need a bit of a grammatical and spelling check but both are good new ideas, I prefer Mechemist.
@Filipter I'd say this is OP, but I mean... I play a Prismatic Lens deck... I think this is a solid card. Capitalize the tribe tags and the transmutation part.
@JoshoPrime Spicy, this is interesting. That being said, is it balanced? That, I couldn't say. My mental math says yes, but I wonder if having both tribe tags throws that off. Other than that, I find the concept good. Check the previous entry for the listed spelling issues.
@Klipce Yummy Piglet is very interesting conceptually, the breakdown comes from the fact that a premium statline for dragons is 4/12. At 10 mana it might be balanced, but I somehow doubt that'd fit the flavor.
@lol9000 I mean it's not balanced. As a general rule no card should do more damage than Pyroblast without like... Holy Wrath + Shirvallah the Tiger level of setup. You don't necessarily need to scrap this concept (I mean if it's a joke as some people have suggested, go for it), you tone it down and it'd probably work.
@Screwjank Artistically, it fits really well. However... It's been done. I praised Mechemist earlier not because I'm the biggest fan of magnetize cross minion types (I generally think it would require way, way too much back-balancing, not in this cards case but in general) but because it just straight up ends the turn. Otherwise these concepts just feel... well, played out. Otherwise, I do like the idea of a generally weak minion type getting a +3/+3 boost cross class.

I know it isn't a direct buff, but would this card be allowed?
meh its a simple card
I think the murloc works. I made something similar a while back, I think the main thing to worry about is which tribe (or tribes) the minion would end up with. Is it Murloc, Mech or both ? Either way it seems balanced and interesting.

I feel like this is a troll. I don't know if it's the battlecry, stat-line, or rarity that is giving it away. Very OP/10
I also dig the flavor of this card. It's like they are fighting over who gets to eat the pig. It's definitely a card I could see them releasing a similar variant of one day. Here is my attempt, hunter, paladin and shaman could build monsters with this
The idea here is, in a sea oriented expansion with marine creatures, this dude punishes all who dares to disturb the waters and its habbitants
Edit; Fixed the capital letter on Beast and Murloc thanks @Zanywoop
I think it should be more expensive, with the axtra stats with it of course, cause murloc decs already have strong openers, this just would be insane
2 in a row and any control deck kick you butt, its slow, but, when it comes is just, kill me now, or kill this and heal up in the same turn or you are dead. A bit opresive

Here goes my card.
It swaps attack and health between them, not attack and health to themselves.
EDIT: Fixed the golden portrait, and increased 1 mana the overload, at 1 maybe was too OP.
This seems really interesting, fill your deck with cheap elementals and huge dragons, boom!
Maybe a little too powerful, you might guy t possible want to bump up the overload some more or just increase the mana price.
That's just my take tho
no golden cards, is in the rules, the effect is potentially strong, things like Firefly could become 1 mana 12/12 add a 1/2 to your hand. I like the card, but not sure about the cost

Opps, sorry I fix it now.

Fair enough. I can kick that up a mana.
Would Invoking Galakrond count?
i think not, since galakron has no dragon tag on it
