Congratulations once again to Wailor for winning WCDC 10.11. Whilst the hype builds for the next quest in Descent of Dragons, we have a decidedly more... holy quest for you this week.
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
First shalt thou create a card with keywords. Then, shalt make those keywords to be Three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out!
Thou may create a card of which any type is permissible; Be it Minion, Spell, Weapon or even Hero.
Thou shalt count three total keywords, nay must the keywords be different.
Thou shalt consider addendums to keywords to be part of said keyword; In so doing, thou will link Quest/Sidequest and Reward, and thou shalt consider (Secretly) merely an addendum. Thou must also know that Battlecry and Deathrattle shalt also be consider as two. Worthless words such as "Lengendary" found upon a certain Crown of Zarog are indeed worthless and shall not be regarded to the count of three.
Thou shan't make Tokens, save for the noblest of Heroes. We spit upon thee. Upon thine heroic tokens, any such keywords used count to the total of three.
Three shall be the total of keywords. If thou shalt make a Hero Card, thou shalt put two keywords upon the base card, as thou shalt see that Hero Power is indeed as bold as all keywords are.
Other bolded words such as "Legendary" (Zarog's Crown) or "[expansion name]" do not count.
No tokens this week, unless you're making a Hero card. Remember, "Hero Power" counts as a keyword. Any tokens you make associated with the Hero card (Hero Power, minions, etc.) may have keywords, but they all count towards the total of three.
We have calculated the 8 entries with the highest scores!! Check out all the finalists below and vote in our poll (vote for as many or as few as you like) to help decide the winner and be sure to check back after the poll finishes for the announcement of the winner and the start of a new theme!
what does helcular do? you need to somehow give him extra deathratlles that can bounce across the board?
just a meme card or am I missing something?
If I understood what the card does, it should be this way:
Let's say Helcular and Piloted Shredder are on the board, then Hercular dies. Now, when Shredder dies and another friendly minion is on the board, it will gain Piloted Shredder's deathrattle. However, I'm not sure if it also gains Hercular's deathrattle along with it making it infinite.

Hi, yes it also gains Hercular's deathrattle, and the next, and the next etc. That's the idea, it makes your Deathrattle minions gain Deathrattles because they have Hercular's Deathrattle.
It's not infinite in a broken way as it's easily interupted: All you need is to kill deathrattle minions with Helcular's Deathrattle LAST, then it has no target to pass on the ability. That's not to say there's not some shenanigans to pull with Psychopomp, Ancestral Spirit and other rez effects, but it is a random effect that only gets powerful relative to the Deathrattles it gains. Having 2 on board could get crazy. hence the Legendary, but most scenarios seem to me within reason.
I really like this card, it have so interesting effect and is perfectly balanced. (voted - top
Shhhhh! by biggerbossman
This card have interesting effect, but is so patheticaly weak. Even id it would cost only 1 one mana, it would be probably not worth of playing, as most battlecry are around 1 cost effect. And there is so small chance to catch some big fish like Shuddderwock or N'Zoth. Especialy, if there is so many good battlecry which you can really easily trade for one opponent card to test secret. So totaly meme card
We need you pal! by ffinderous
Interesting effect. This one is definitely one of stronger secret, and even fit paladin class. But it is still not something trully oppresive and potentionaly gamebraking, as you can't really chose what you get
Tahu Sagewind by BonesDelux
You created unbalanced monster. This one should be definitely lots of weaker card. You just created gamebreaking Sunwalker on steroids, which garantee win in more than half matches against aggro decks, and is still very valuable against control decks. I don't really know, how can be this much people be dumb to voting for it in this overpowered form
None Shall Pass by ThezzyNice
Picture, effect of this card really ressemble to actual dark knight. (Or at least trying it.) From balance view it is very powerfull card, but i think for 2 mana it is ok. And it is nice to have some support for Kangor's Endless Army. Maybe this card alone would be enough to see pure mech paladin again.
Shirvallah's Champion by Wailor
Interesting effect. Hard to utilize overkill efect, but card itself is still ok. As whole this card can be interesting if used for overkill, but still somehow playable if there i not utilization. (voted)
Helcular, Envoy to Kel'Thuzad by Hareharehare
This card very ressemble cards from adventures, where you use spell and it bounce to others. But i don't know, from what i played it it never fell somehow really enjoyable. From balanced value, it is really hard to play around it's deathrattle effect, but if you are lucky then you can have insane value. So basicaly mediocre card, nothing insane, but not bad either.
Graveyard Keeper by Rakio
Nice, this card is very strong, as you can basicaly choose which of your card will get reborn with "target deathrattle". But this card is slow and need you to actualy have some dead deathrattle minion, so very nicely balanced. (voted)
Why are people voting for Tahu despite it being horribly OP and mostly a terrible design? Even as a 1/1 taunt I would be afraid to print that, and still find it a bad design. Cards that benefit you from just being in the deck without deck restrictions are inherently bad ideas, and definitely something this broken.
well, once the Dreadsteed [/card]dies, it doesn't keep the extra deathrattles, it can only pass its dr to another minion.... but now there will always be a [card]dreadsteed in play to target, always producing +1 Dreadsteed.
hmm holdon, i forgot Dreadsteed was nerfed so you can plsy other minions on board and ppl can get rid of Dreadsteed before killing Helcular... the interaction isn't too bad so.
Tahu Sagewind is strong, I agree, but let's be honest, Aggro decks in Hearthstone are crazy enough for this card to win you 1 turn at best. Besides, a few burst techs can defeat it and it doesn't work if it's drawn. If anything, it would force Aggro players to play/plan around it which would by a nice skill test on their part.
PSA: This is a good example of flashy, powerful cards taking a strong lead, as you can see; Tahu nearly won. At first glance, the card looks fine. However, not all voters spend a significant amount of time thinking about the meta relevance of the entries. This has been a "feature", if you will, of the weekly card competitions since they began.

Did you realize, 1 turn is very often enought for control deck to have enought mana for use of their board clear?

Isn't Tahu Sagewind OP with High Priest Thekal?

Helcular + Dreadsteed = fun fun fun
haha :D, yes, that would be quite crazy, but would soon result in a board of Dreadsteed, nothing else.

Or you could add something to dreadsteed's deathrattle. And it will loop indefinitely.

Tahu Sagewind is way OP just as a card by itself. Literally every deck would run this card, and it would make most aggro decks obsolete
