I saw people think about this card as weak or even so much restrictive and i must say WTF, what is wrong with you? (Just becose resurects priests are best, dosn't mean others are weak.)
This card perfectly fit for control priests decks, which don't play about ressurect cheat cost. On other hand, power efect of this card is so inconsistent - If you don't draw it in early game it is strong, if you draw it early, it is weak. (So mostly it would end up as strong choice. But still not worth of risk.)
I thought about some changes, but only viable thing which i invited was giving +5 health to your hero and shuffle it back to your deck without start of game. (And it still doesn't giving good feeling from corectly handled balance.)
Haven't posted in WCDC threads for a long time and I am super excited to see such an inspiring theme. Here are my creations for this week:
The potions you can get are same as the ones given by Kabal Chemist (all collectible potions in Mean Street of Gagetzan). Since many of the potions have game-changing power, this mage buff card can be very solid to run in both constructed and arena.
A card works similar as BEEEES!!!. It is like a hard removal when used against big minions, and it is still very good when used against small minions as the skeleton summoned will be more likely to survive after attack. The problem is that it might be too powerful.
Card reference: Shadowform. I had similar idea before and I am glad that I can let it shine again this time. This card is mediocre when used on its own, but after you become Lord Jaraxxus, it immediately becomes a fatal buff. If you have this card in hand and have minions on board, playing Lord Jaraxxus on turn 10 will be much less embarrassing as you can immediately buff a minion using the remaining 1 mana and either protect you from minion attack or push for late-game damage. I'm not sure if this can encourage people to run Lord Jaraxxus in their decks, but at least it is viable.
To be honest, this one is my favorite. Referencing to Power Overwhelming, it is a card that encourages a warrior to use smaller minions for trading. It works well with cheap deathrattle minions and reborn minions. However, such a card can be easily abused by aggro decks such as pirate warrior for lethal damage. So I guess this card may need further balancing.
@FHillz Ooooh, slick naming. Now that we have sleep as an actual term this works, but I'd still try to fit in until the end of your opponent's turn if you can. I don't necessarily think losing taunt on combo is a necessity, it may need to be one or the other.
Thank you for your feedback (And other guys as well)
The point of this card is to punch a minion so hard it faint for a turn, so it can't really do anything including taunting. I'm considering about the effect and make it more extreme like "silence it for a turn". That's why I tune down the damage to 1 and not 3 like Frost bolt since they're somewhat similar. I'll also try to add in "until the end of opponent's turn" like you said.
Easily could be 3 mana. If you equip Sulthraze (highest stats for the lowest possible cost), you're getting just a 1 mana discount at 3 mana, and that is assuming you didn't attack with it the turn you equip it (highly unlikely).
Thanks to everyone for feedback on Twilight Words ... Well, I decided to rethink the idea by changing some things, because I really liked her idea ... So I increased the rarity for Epic and the cost by +1. Changing the draw a card to summon to 1/1 copy of it now opens up a wide range of options and combos. I think the result just got better, but it can still get better.
(I also changed the name of the tokens for a bigger flavor hehehehhe ...)
I think the card is too complex now. Also, it has 5 lines of text, which is usually disclaimed.
I'd go back to the previous effect and do one of the following:
Buff the Power Word option. Something like "Give a minion +5 Health and Taunt" would make the card much better against swarm decks, for instance.
Nerf the Shadow Word option (and decrease the Mana cost). Instead of destroying minions with 5+ Attack, it could only affect those with 6+ or 7+, inline with BGH.
3 Ideas I had for this week, 2 cross class and one that matches it's own. I think they're clever but I don't know about the balance. Any feedback would be awesome, i'll be going through in a bit to look and give feedback on cards I like.
Hello everyone! Been a long time since I've participated in the WCDC, and my first time posting in discussion thread. I really like the back and forth I've seen the past few weeks as I've been lurking so I figured I'd join the fun! Going to post one idea now, and then two more ideas later with feedback for everybody :)
Still open on several aspects of this card. In it's current form, it's a useful tool for discard warlock - easy enough to guarantee a discard with any type of rush minion, due to it's low mana cost. I think the mana is appropriate here, especially when you compare it to Blessing of Wisdom, and fairly universal over-statted nature of cards which cause you to discard. Epic because it's very un-intuitive to use but can enable powerful synergies. May bump up power level by making it conditional discard (lowest/highest card) instead of random.
The main change I am considering is changing the effect from having you always discard a card, to having the minion's owner discard a card. This would still be a (weaker) support for discard lock, but obviously has a much larger chance to interrupt your opponent's strategy. For this reason it would have to have a significant mana cost. Additionally, would probably change the spell to be a power word as opposed to a blessing.
Thanks! Looking forward to exchanging feedback with everyone :)
Necrotic Shot is a better version of Firelands Portal. You always get a 5/5 (which is nearly premium stats) *and* it has rush to clean up any damage you missed. Yeah, it can't go face, but I think this is way too good, even as a 7 mana 5/5 deal 5. Try 6 mana deal 4, summon a 4/4. That is more in line with Fire Elemental.
Mark of the Eredar is really neat. It is more of a gimmick than anything else, but is a creative idea.
Mark of the Gladiator... hmmm. Well, on paper, it's fine. Blessing of Might is 1 mana for +3, this is 2 mana for +4. Tempo Warrior isn't exactly a dominant force and warrior already has a 2 mana buff in Rampage. This, with Bloodsworn Mercenary, is just an overall increase of 2 damage. I think this is fine.
I'll go for Shaman on this one. So what do you guys think? Abou the Blessing of the elements, it's suposed to give each element-related buff.
So much nope of Blessing of the Elements. That's a huge buff on Bloodlust. If a minion has just 1 attack, it deals 3 extra damage, same as bloodlust. 2, it deals 4 extra damage, 1 over bloodlust.
Waterspeaker's is... a little low impact, I'd say. Also curious wording, is there any in-game card that says "give ____ effect"? Waterspeaker might be better if you summoned a random Basic Totem first.
Ideas for this week. Also ask for better arts, thank you.
Power Word: Barrier? Hm. I think it is way overcosted. The closest thing we have is Commanding Shout and that only saw play once in the meta solely for the card draw.
Blessing of Nordrassil, very nice, I like it.
Shadow Word: Target, heh, nice. This is very interesting with flamewaker.
I feel like this should be 1 mana, draw a card, have this effect. Furthermore, I'd limit it to discard a specific card, whether it is low-cost, high-cost, etc like you said in your write-up. I think you should have it discard the right-most card. I think this has potential, but as it stands, it will always be a net disadvantage for you.

Before you kill Guldan, Garrosh, Jaina... you need to buff the raid, or you will be kicked from the raid =|

Submission topic is open, gentlemen
Thanks for the feedback.
There is a reason for it...
I'm Chinese. I can't visit imgur.com in China. I don't know if you can visit a similar website in China...
Please let me try.
If you can't see this picture, please let me know.
Snowgularity sounds weird. How about Frostbite? It's a very nasty thing, similar to all other Dhadow Words.
I'm from Spain, and I can see you card. It's quite neat, btw

Hearthcards now has the ability to generate a permanent link. If you are uploading the card using that permanent link generated, it is safe.
The card itself is simple and straightforward and I think it is balanced. Keep the excellent work!

Power Word Potion is perfect as-is.

2 mana. 3 mana if you want to play it safe.
Ahhh I see, my mistake. Another western site you can try is https://postimages.org/. The card looks great, and I see you have submitted it.
So much nope of Blessing of the Elements. That's a huge buff on Bloodlust. If a minion has just 1 attack, it deals 3 extra damage, same as bloodlust. 2, it deals 4 extra damage, 1 over bloodlust.

Blessing of Nordrassil, very nice, I like it.
Shadow Word: Target, heh, nice. This is very interesting with flamewaker.
Mark of the Blood God is solid. You could even bump it down to 2 damage.
Power Word: Shout is just worse Mark of Nature, isn't it? I wouldn't submit this one, it is rather simple, unfortunately.
Scatter Shot is probably a bit too good. I balanced this concept at 4 mana, but deal 6 randomly among enemy minions. So at 6 mana, I'd say 10.
I feel like this should be 1 mana, draw a card, have this effect. Furthermore, I'd limit it to discard a specific card, whether it is low-cost, high-cost, etc like you said in your write-up.
