Congratulations once again to Kacman for winning WCDC 10.6. He wanted to return to glory days of Knights of the Frozen Throne... and there's really only one expansion as widely beloved as the Wrath of the Lich king...
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
The first restriction; you have to accept that you are not prepared.
In the spirit of KotFT, you must make a card that represents the world of Warcraft expansion The Burning Crusade; We want Outlands, Demons, ridiculous helboar grinds in Hellfire Peninsula, fifteen-hundred potion raid nights... you get the picture.
This week there are no mechanical restrictions. All you have to do is include the Mag'theridon Watermark, which I'll put a guide to below.
Step 1: Fire up Hearthcards as usual.
Step 2: Once you've formulated your entry, scroll the watermark wheel aaaall the way down (This can be wierd with things like Google Chrome's download bar. Trust me, if you scroll to the bottom the very last thing you can click'll do it). Select Custom.
Step 3: Press the spikiest boy in there. It's highlighted in blue below.
No flavor points this week, the whole challenge is based on flavor. Zanywoop will intentionally upvote every single other card however if someone throws a pandaren in. Adhere religiously to what was around in TBC; Anyone who's played through TBC, be sure to keep your Cursed Vision of Sargerasoff so you can help anyone who hasn't slogged through Blade's Edge. Please note that not all the Mods have even earned Lady Liadrin, let alone farmed Netherdrake rep, so be patient if we miss a few flavor things.
Competition Process
Below is a list of all the deadlines for this contest:
Preview Phase (Oct. 2, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Oct. 3, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) The Discussion Topic is made available, previewing this week's competition theme. Entry and Early Voting Phase (Oct. 3, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Oct. 7, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be unlocked. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like! Voting Phase (Oct. 7, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Oct. 9, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites! Final Phase (Oct. 9, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Oct. 10, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a Finalists Thread will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Finalists Thread, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and a poll to decide the winner of the competition!
Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. As a rule of thumb, please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Nice theme, i suggested it after i won, because i really liked Vanilla Extract competition, but guys who were in charge at the time said that people who don't play WoW will have disadvantage, well duh... so i had to pick something more easier.
Anyway, glad that we are finally doing it, so here is my idea.
We all remember that Fel Reaver wandering around Hellfire Peninsula. Somehow magically showing up right behind you while you're busy questing. And then you get stomped. Hard. Although I was an Engineer at the time and had fun with my Gnomish Remote Control Device before Blizzard patched it. >:)

Love the concept and doens't seem unbalanced in my opinion. Although I'd change de Battlecry for one more impactful on the board or the Hero, like something that summons minions, equip a weapon, heal yourself, add specific cards to your hand or deals damage. Let the Verdant Spheres for the Hero Power (they're more synergic).
I myself also want to create a hero for this amazing theme, since KotFT we had a hero for all classes.
This creature is one of fungal giants that roam the Zangarmarsh area.
Cool, but the effect could be more varied, like adding lifesteal, taunt, etc. Also, I see your intention here, so the art could be some of those bog monsters from Zangarmarsh.

Love the ideia and have to confess this one was a pain the ass in my TBC time. I think it could be like a giant 8/8/8 and the effect: Stealtlh. Can't attack. Ate the end of your turn, attack a random CHARACTER,

It is incredibly weak card. Idea is good, but for 8 mana card, efect is totaly useless.

Again very strong card, but coming late, so it should be ok, but as it is mech and thus potentionaly more usefull then King Krush, i would suggest change cost to 9.
Pretty much an Arena material but fun card nonetheless.
I like efect of this card... But i think you should somehow more differentiate effect of this card - This card never trigger secret./While on board, secrets can't be triggered. For now i think it can confuse somebody.

Interesting but the wording should be a bit different. If it only counts for your opponent's Secrets it should be: "Your opponent's Secrets do not trigger while this is active." If it counts for your Secrets as well it should be: "Secrets do not trigger while this is active."

That would make it a worse Ragnaros, since Ragnaros doesn't take damage when it attacks. I could tweak the stats a little but the Stealth and Rush work into how the Reaver had a tendency to sneak up on you (Stealth) and suddenly (Rush) wipe you off the map. Maybe I'll make it an 8/8 for 8 since it's a Mech and Magnetic exists.
The idea was that this minion himself never trigger secrets like Mirror Entity or Freezing Trap so yeah, it should be reworded into "This minion never trigger any secrets"

Oh, sorry. Didn't see you made it Legendary. My suggestion was meant for an Epic card. In this case, I suppose you're right, but you could make 8/8/8, since, of course, magnetize.
Surprised no one has proposed Mag yet but anyway these are the 3 cards that I was able to come up with. Reaver may be a bit too good for a 6 mana card with an easy to proc effect but if Druid can drop 2 5/5's with Rush on turn 5 by completing their easy quest I thought it'd be fine. Nether Portal is based off of the Netherspite fight in which you stand in the lasers to get effects placed on you for however long you're standing in them. Finally I think Magtheridon is a great card (maybe too cheap or too big of an effect i'm thinking of a 4 mana 8/8 that deals 8, I'm not too sure about balance on him.
Any feedback is great and i'll look through cards soon to put feedback of cards I like/think are neat!
I tried to make Demon-themed cards that aren't Warlock. My only reference for Warcraft lore is WC3, so if any of these is out of place in WoW or in the Burning Crusade expansion, let me know.
Druid of the Legion tokens:
Lord Archimonde token:
I'll give feedback tomorrow. Obviously, those who comment my cards will be priorized.
Dalliah is a very good idea, although i think its too strong, i would nerf it to 8~ mana and tweak it some way for agro warlock like: costs less for each demon that died this turn.
Well, I've always loved Maraad in Burning Crusade's intro cinematics. So that's why I decided to do it as a Hero Card for Paladin. I thought of it as a good card for the control archetype.
Second, I always liked the Arakkoas and especially Terokk, but as he didn't exist directly in this expansion yet, I decided to go to one of my favorite WoW mounts, the Raven Lord. I thought of it as an aid to the Druid who has few ways to clear the field while working with "Choose One" cards hehehe ...
This is the Discussion Topic. Upvotes here do not count!
The Submission Topic is here.

"Where the hell did that come from?!"

Edit: Changed wording from "never trigger any secrets" into "this minions never trigger any secrets"

Okay, pretty simple e effective card, but couldn't be more in flavor with the whole concept of the expansion (with more evidence).
It is incredibly weak card. Idea is good, but for 8 mana card, efect is totaly useless.
Interesting idea. It's very powerfull card, but as it cost 7 mana and on turn it come in play it don't do anything i am ok.
Again very strong card, but coming late, so it should be ok, but as it is mech and thus potentionaly more usefull then King Krush, i would suggest change cost to 9.
I like efect of this card... But i think you should somehow more differentiate effect of this card - This card never trigger secret./While on board, secrets can't be triggered. For now i think it can confuse somebody.

Well, since KotFT gave us a hero (at least alternate ones) for every class, I'll go for this route on this edition with two ideas:
PS.: I forgot about the watermarks, but I'll correct it in the submission.
The idea was that this minion himself never trigger secrets like Mirror Entity or Freezing Trap so yeah, it should be reworded into "This minion never trigger any secrets"
Updated the card.
Oh, sorry. Didn't see you made it Legendary. My suggestion was meant for an Epic card. In this case, I suppose you're right, but you could make 8/8/8, since, of course, magnetize.
I propose Helboar with attack skills. Some damage to your Hero, but it can destroy enemy minions :)
