Congratulations once again to TheArcanist236 for winning WCDC 10.5. After some discussion we came to this theme... and this naming scheme.
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
The only requirement this week is to create any card that either continually resummons itself on the field or puts itself back into your hand/deck. That is, the card has an infinite recursion effect.
There are several things that do not count: Twinspell, Reborn, and the Echo keywords all do not count. Jade Golemas a mechanic does not fulfill the requirements for this contest but Jade Idol, which shuffles copies of itself into your deck, does.
We're doing bonus points for extraneous tentacles. This time, all entries that features tentacles will get an extra vote in the submission thread. (Zanywoop will only vote for entries with tentacles in their art)
Competition Process
Below is a list of all the deadlines for this contest:
Preview Phase (Sept. 24, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Sept. 25, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) The Discussion Topic is made available, previewing this week's competition theme. Entry and Early Voting Phase (Sept. 25, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Sept. 29, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be unlocked. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like! Voting Phase (Sept. 29, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Sept. 30, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites! Final Phase (Sept. 30, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - Oct. 1, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a Finalists Thread will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Finalists Thread, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and a poll to decide the winner of the competition!
Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. As a rule of thumb, please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

How about this corrupted version of Dreadsteed? You get infinite minions, but if you aren't careful, your hand can get filled with crappy 1/1s. On the other hand, they can be great Discard fodders.
After the initial investment, even assuming this minion is always getting killed, basically your hero power becomes "2 mana - deal 4 damage to a minion, gain 2 life, draw a card"

Finally I can put this one to the test. Can't decide on the stats however, not sure if this would be too much to handle for turn one. What you guys think?
It costs 8, and you can only draw cards to a certain extent, it's pretty powerful but a 1 of and you only want to keep drawing cards up until a certain turn not only because of the damage. by turn 8 you drew more than half of your deck in nearly every matchup.
How does this work with quests? Well, my intention is for the hero power to remain destroyed even if the quest is completed after the minion has been played;if the game mechanics do not work like this, I would simply suggest that this minion should be released in a different set time (when 'Activate the Obelisk' is Wild).
I intend this to work like a dormant minion while it's dead and waiting the player to suffer 8 damage to resummon
Immortal prelate card is an example for an admissible card so maybe this is admissible too.
First of all its +1/+1 it just looks wierd without the /
Second why wouldnt it just say "Deathrattle: Summon a +1/+1 copy of itself"? A copy in hearthstone means text and all, you don't need to specify the deathrattle part. But as it does copy all its buffs and stats this is like a pre nerf Dreadsteed on stroids. A infinite scaling 1 drop that can only be dealt with by silence or transformation is way to strong.
And lastly copying itself on a deathrattle seams kinda iffy, since it would usually trigger when the minion is dead so the copied health would be 0 with the +1/+1 all the copies would have 1 hp, not sure how would that work with over killing it? Or was that even the authors intention for it to work that way.

Well this would obviously be played in decks without a quest. Priest still has a lot of cards to bring HP back, so this card may be too powerful. Tip: I think this card should be made around Dormant mechanic.
Leech king seems most fun to play. Tentagryff seems too powerful. Also feels more like epic or legendary effect. The Great Devourer - not a big fan, I would skip it for this competition.
I think that this card may be good for Warlock quest. Maybe this Demon should have +1/+1 in stats.
Tell me what You think
This can mess you up real good, if you're not careful. It's Health is low enough to be able to be killed and resummoned multiple times in one turn, causing you to discard more than you prefer. Then again, I don't play a lot of Discardlock, so I might be off...

Couple of ideas I had for this week! Mind Bender is another Disruption mechanic for warlock but gives the opponent the same mechanic on death; may be a bit strong but I feel that 4 cost justifies it. Reinforcements! I cannot seem to get the wording right on so this is as close as I can get; so it's a card that can snowball and go out of control but you have to start very low and there is a large possibility that even if you're at 10 or less that you still get a card costing 1-4. I was thinking of limiting it to the basic set but I feel that the small pool will make it better at higher numbers as opposed to the gamble it could be.
I like reinforcements! a lot, but I think that you should erase the part of less. I mean, you still need to cast it 3 (even 4?) times at least to make it worth.
This is the Discussion Topic. Upvotes here do not count!
The Submission Topic is here.
