Hey there, I am not a veteran player, so I often have the issue of missing quite some cards for decks I want to try out. So I was thinking "what about a decktester mode?" Like some mode where you can build a deck from all cards no matter if you own them or not and play either against other players in that mode, or maybe against npcs playing deckrecepies or meta-decks of your current rank.
Of course you would have to disable all reward systems for that mode, so that it's not used for grinding.
Well, you can play Arena..Is similar to what you're looking for.
Not at all. Yes, it allows you to play with cards you don't own, but the format is completely different than constructed. Also, @user-23994477 I completely agree.
I don't think such a mode should exist against other players, but having a version where you'd be facing off against the AI with a Whizbang the Wonderful recipe deck wouldn't be too bad.
sorry, but arena has absolutly nothing to do with what I am looking for. I guess I'd have to do about 100 runs bevore I ever get close to the decks I would like to test. And if I had that much money or gold I could just buy that many packs and craft all cards I need.
Some people would just play in this mode and never craft any card if they don't care about constructed. Good idea but no, never gonna happen.
I do not see an issue with that. These people would propably never invest a single cent into the game anyways, because they just lack the competitive spirit. This means there would not be a loss for blizzard.
Thanks for the feedback to all of you. I also think the possibility of this going to happen is close to zero, but one can still dream. xD
But who knows... maybe someone close to Blizzard sees this threat and thinks of it as a brilliant idea and brings it up to someone able to make it reality.
A big majority of players are "hard casuals" which doesn't give a crap about ranks and all that stuff... they just want to have as many cards as possible. So to make a long story short blizzard will never ever do such dumb thing... Giving access to all cards denies reasons for buying card packs.
This woild never happen. Even the incentive for many people to play ranked or even casual is just to collect gold to buy packs, reach rank 5 for the sweet golden epic to collect dust etc. The aim of this game for many is to collect reaources to open as many packs as possible and to craft as many cards they want as they can. If you give me a full collection of cards with the condition that I won’t be getting any rewards, I couldn’t care less, because all I want are cards to play with. You’ll never get that for free. Either grind it or pay it

I would appreciate your thoughts on this idea.
My thoughts - Love it - Will never happen!

guys i know is hard for some of you, but try making some friends and play friendly matches so you can borrow decks and test cards you don't own.

I do have some friends playing hearthstone which I actually know, but I usually am the one whos decks are borrowed for that reason.
