Final Phase (Starts 21:00 UTC 30/4/2019, Ends 21:00 UTC 1/5/2019) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a new Poll Topic will go up. Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
Thoughts about this one? It links to Un'Goro because of poisonous and I think it's balanced (Deadly Shot costs 3 mana and destroys a random minion. Here the opponent is the one to select a minion).

This is actually pretty good and quite disgusting to play against at the same time :) I think you are good to go ;-)
/edit: maybe you can fix the text a little bit, use this as text on HC "Secret: When one of your minions is attacked, give it Poisonous.{{FONTSIZE=-5}}" ... it will fit in 3 lines.

This has no Murloc theming - it's a plant-themed card which happens to feature a Murloc in the art.
I made three cards just now, for different classes and tribes:
Primal Fury is to Beasts as Flow Like Water is to Elementals and Herald of Flame is to Dragons. I think I might go with the latter, as it is the least complicated of the three. Edit: Although it's basically Shadowflame; I think I meant for it to target all enemies, not just minions.

References murlocs thematically, both with the name/art and the cost of minions it affects.
Any opinions on balance?
I might up it to 4 or 5, just because it's fairly simple for the Warlock to flood the board with this spell. With healing cards and a plethora of draw effects, Gul'dan can overcome the detriment fairly regularly - especially if you kill the enemy first.
Also, Cost, Health, and Mana should be capitalized.

Many of the older Shadow Priest spells originate from the Dreadlords in Warcraft III. The effect has very good synergy with Northshire Cleric, but also works well with the Auchenai cards. What are your thoughts? Is the cost ok? I orginally thought 2 might be ok since it doesn't do anything against minions with more than 2 Health, but there are a lot of synergies so I pushed it up to 3.
Most of you guys already noticed this, but I think it's worth mentioning. This theme is much easier if you go top-down: start with a cool flavor and find a fitting effect for it.
Basing your effect on a particular animal is an easy way to make a flavourful card, like my Hunter Secrets. I think I'll go with X Marks the Spot, though.
I think it's a good theme. In the past there has been a lot weird 'themes' about stuff like "make a card with the number 4 in it". I think competitions that address either flavor/theming (like yours) or are about filling mechanical niches (make an expensive rogue weapon, make 3 mana mech, make a removal spell) are the best types of themes because they address actual game design concerns.
One of the biggest design challenges in a game like HS is maintaining narrative storytelling and not descending into pure, meaningless math. When I play a deck like Pirate Warrior, there is cohesion between all of the cards in the deck feeling like the belong together (pirates, chargers, weapons) and also working well together. Then you get a deck like Even Shaman, which uses a mix of random early drops, mid game threats and sea giants, none of which have anything thematic about summoning lots of totems, they just happen to make a strong deck.
So while Swipe could be renamed LASER BLAST, without changing text, you'd lose the narrative of the druid transforming and slashing his enemies with his claws.

I like Primal Fury a lot.
I've always found weird how shapeshifting was represented in Hearthstone, gaining temporary attack and permanent armor didn't seem very related to the flavor.

I actually think Flow Likes Water is the least complicated with some adjusted wording. Something like: "At the start of each turn, gain Divine Shield" (It has precedent in Shaman with Al'Akyr). The final card while simple has the discard mechanic iconic to Warlock.

X Mark the Spot is the best and balanced card of the bunch, although I think it can be reduced to 2 mana compare to Arcane Intellect. I don't get why Ink Spray heal the minion while Rapid Dog seems too good as a Hunter Secret (A Mage Secret, maybe)

I like Fire in the Hole the most. I'm not sure what tribe the Priest card is connected to, and Draconic Flame seems like a worse Corruption.

I like this a lot. It's allow Druid to have hard removal but not too powerful like Naturalize was.
The Priest card is supposed to connect to pigeons (Beast) because it is a universal symbol of peace.
