This week's theme comes from Wailor, whose "Unidentified Alignment" was the winner of our A Mammoth Awakening competition!
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
You must create a card that provides you options as-to how to proceed, but it may not have Adapt, Choose One/Twice, or Discover.
Targeted Battlecries like "Deal X damage" are not enough: the card must create "the Discover window" or have different outcomes depending on the target.
Preview Phase (Starts Now! Ends 21:00 UTC 21/3/2019) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic is made available, previewing this week's competition theme. Entry and Early Voting Phase (Starts 21:00 UTC 21/3/2019, Ends 21:00 UTC 25/3/2019) During this Phase, the Submission Topic is made available for your submissions. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like! Voting Phase (Starts 21:00 UTC 25/3/2019, Ends 21:00 UTC 26/3/2019) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites! Final Phase (Starts 21:00 UTC 26/3/2019 Ends 21:00 UTC 27/3/2019) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a new Poll Topic will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Poll Topic, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and poll to decide the winner of the competition!
Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
The wording was a bit odd but basically if it's a deal damage card, it must have multiple outcomes based on the target or if it is a non targetable minion / spell then multiple options have to be present. Yes?

The wording is rather wonky, I agree, but the idea is that we're trying to avoid merely selecting a target with one's Battlecry. Vilespine Slayer, Fire Plume Phoenix, Voodoo Doctor; these cards let you "choose" who the Battlecry (or Combo) targets, but it's not what we want to see.

Wow, nice theme, there's a lot of things you can do with that! What do you guys think about this one? It can only target minions so it doesn't powercreep dark bomb and while it heals less than other 2-cost spells it can also trigger deathrattles.
Out of the three, I'd say the first or third card, 99% of the time your 2nd spell is going to just be summoning Leokk and Huffer. If plotter was a card atm, I'd run him in my warlock deck so I know the perfect moment to Gnomeferatu
Ah, I'm well accustomed to this field. But rather than go the obvious route for me, I tried to do something different that fits the theme.
Way to delay some card effects, but ensure they are still playable. Whilst the card cannot be "played", it can still be cheated out of your hand to work around this (think cards like Skull of the Man'ari or Oondasta).
Of course, I could always just reprint Future Sight from my Time Traveler class as a card for an existing class.

The concept is brilliant in my taste! But, I think that 4 damage for 2 mana is too much. Also, it powercreeps Spirit Bomb and Shadow Bolt. Not like any of those are real, but it should cost 3 Mana as I think.
This one is an old concept of mine, tweaked with it a bit:
How it works: Basically, you play this, Discover a minion that died this game. If you guess its “killer” correctly (the card that killed it), Case Solved! is cast.
some clarifications:
• The possible “killer” cards can be any card, as long as it has a way of dealing damage and was played/summoned/equipped/cast that game.
• The Discovered minion does NOT get added to your hand, it only serves to show you the “killer” cards.
• If two duplicate minions were killed and you play this, the system counts this as one card with two “killers” for example: If only a Pit Snake and two Coldlight Oracles were killed this game (one Coldlight by Fireball and one by Arcanologist) the first part will NOT show two Coldlights and a Pit Snake but rather only a Pit Snake and a Coldlight. If you pick Coldlight and it shows Fireball, Arcanologist and Frostbolt, picking either Fireball OR Arcanologist will cast you Case Solved.
I believe that qualifies since the spell effect changes depending on it's target.
Twinspell should be at the top of the text, not the bottom.
Yes the effect changes, but it's in addition to what the spell is already doing. Demonfire and Demonheart are not "A" or "A+"; the two outcomes are completely different. I would say that this is not what we're looking for. A good indicator is the "instead" in the text.

I would say No, to both. Murloc Holmes has Discover - which is barred in the rules - and the second one is just selecting a minion via the Combo.
But the Discover on Murloc is only there to not write ‘look at’ again and make the text small. It’s effectively ‘look at’ and not ‘Discover’, since the card doesn’t get added to your hand. And Chester has radically different applications for whether you target a friendly minion or an enemy minion
edit: the text does not, in fact, get smaller. Changing it now.
It has multiple use: You can use it as a buff, as a Sap or as an extremely weak Shadowstep.
Yes, this is the kind of thing we're looking for. The results are completely different: either you give a minion +3 Attack, or you bounce them. They cannot happen together; you must choose between them.
The "instead" really reinforces what we want: A or B, not A or A+.

Star-crossed Lovers is dripping with flavour and the mechanical implementation is spot on. Your art choice is bae! It’s too bad you can’t find the same guys one frame before they embrace for the token cards. ;) Great design choice nonetheless.
The slow roll on the ‘choice’ via Elementals is unexpected which I feel makes this card stand out of the crowd.
Nitpick - Hyphenate “Star-crossed” for the cherry on the top!
Masked Plotter is the money out of the three. The flavour is solid and I love strategy disruption like this. It's too bad actual Hearthstone designs in this vein tend to avoid making cards like these actually relevant in the meta.
Does this read like a lite version of Toki's Hero Power effect in Monster Hunt? I made the Keyword and tooltip to solidify the mechanic's intent and scope without barfing it onto the card.
UI-wise I picture this playing out with first seeing the random effect happen, presenting a Discover-esque option overlay offering "Re-Roll" or "Keep". If "Re-Roll", a rewind animation occurs and the card and random effect is played again. If "Keep", carry on as normal.
I feel this could certainly be used in a variety of ways to mitigate Hearthstone's omnipresent RNG we love to hate.

What do you think?
@Wailor
Temporary Farewell: Nice concept, but gamewise it's too slow. Still, at 1 Mana would be too strong.
Did we forget someone?- That one looks good. I'd go with it.
Masked Plotter - That one is nice idea, but in game it could be pretty frustrating to play against.

That's why goblins shouldn't be warlocks.

First idea so far:

The upgrades will always be:
Improve Weapons: +2 Attack
Reinforce Armor: +2 Health
Enhance Network: +1/+1 to your other Mechs
Repair Allies: Restore 3 Health to your other Mechs
Maybe it should be a 7/7 so you'd only need 1 Mech to give it a decent statline.
Other than that, I'd like to hear any feedback.
So, does this count?
It has multiple use: You can use it as a buff, as a Sap or as an extremely weak Shadowstep.
Edit: A second idea:
Token:
You can choose to play it as a 6/6 or 2 3/3.
