Second idea. Breaks continuity even more than the first.
Is this effect an upside or a downside? Who knows? Your chances of finding one specific Adapt option does decrease, but sometimes you don't really care. At the same time though, giving Galvadon Rush would be so juicy.
The Adapt effect is so second copies won't be useless. a 4 mana 4/4 Adapt is higher about base power level than other Adapt cards.

So, as someone who wasn't around for vanilla and only started playing right before the Kara xpac came out, which of the keywords are considered vanilla and therefor not acceptable for this contest?

(2 second look at the HS wiki): Battlecry, Deathrattle, Spell Damage, Immune, Taunt, Stealth, Charge, Freeze, Choose One, Combo, Counter, Divine Shield, Overload, Secret, Silence and Windfury.
So, as someone who wasn't around for vanilla and only started playing right before the Kara xpac came out, which of the keywords are considered vanilla and therefor not acceptable for this contest?
All keywords that appear in Basic and Classic (except Poisonous it seems), and the three class-exclusive mechanics do not count. This includes:
Battlecry
Deathrattle
Spell Damage
Taunt
Stealth
Divine Shield
Charge
Windfury
Enrage (RIP)
Freeze
Secret
Silence
Immune
Choose One
Combo
Overload
Counter
Note that you CAN you use these on your card. They just don't count towards the two mechanics your card needs to have to be eligible.
Keywords that DO count towards your two mechanics include:

This is not an extensive list, but here's a basic rundown of the main Keywords and mechanics from each expansion Year:
Expansion Year #1 (Goblins vs Gnomes, Curse of Naxxramas, The Grand Tournament, Blackrock Mountain)
Spare Parts, Inspire, "Reveal a minion from each player's deck. If yours costs more, ..." (aka Joust) , "if you're holding a Dragon"
Year of the Kraken (Whisper of the Old Gods, The League of Explorers, Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, One Night in Karazhan)
C'Thun synergy, Discover, Jades, "if your deck has no duplicates"
Year of the Mammoth (Journey to Un'Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, Kobolds & Catacombs)
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
A mechanic or Keyword from all four Years, using just about as many words as can fit in the card.

Should I bump down to play just 1 card from opponent's class to upgrade and make it a 3/3?
I'm inclined to say Yes, because it will take a decent amount of time/effort to generate and play 4 cards from your opponent's class, and by then a 3/3/4 with that Battlecry might be too little too late. I might not be the best judge on Rogue cards, though, as I don't play that kind of archetype.
It's a very amusing card, though. I had a good chuckle.

Seems like with the Coin you could flood the board with huge Dragons on one turn. Holding a Dragon and having no duplicates isn't that hard to achieve. There's also that one card that reduces your Hero Power cost to 1.
I also see three keywords, yet you mention four years, are there keywords that spanned two years?
Better than Walnut Sprite but hey that is a neutral card that dont see play while this is a class card. Thoughts?
@AngryChicken Nice card, is the poisonous hidden from everyone or the owner knows it? A bit OP though since it is like Muster for Battle but without weapon but one of the recruits have poisonous.
Haven’t seen a Quest in this thread, so thought I’d try one. Quests are pretty hard to balance and I’m new at this, but here’s my attempt at something for Mech Warrior. Also, the art is mismatched which I hope to fix, but I’m having trouble finding good art.

Too weak , using Magnetic six times is really hard, the reward is not strong enough either.

Maybe 5 times and 5/8/8? Or 5/10/10? I originally thought 10/10/10 to mimic Deathwing but I liked that the other quest minions (Galvadon and Megafin) cost 5 mana and 10 mana means you can’t use Faceless Manipulator or dump some other mechs first to take advantage of the battlecry.

Thanks for the responses guys. :) That helps a lot.
Someone's got to do it:

I KNEW he was cheating on me with other cards!!
Keyword: Discover, Mechanics: Spellstone/Upgrade, Rogue Secrets

I think someone has done this kind of thing before, but in case not I figured I'd show it anyway.
Wouldn't be surprised if others have thought of such back at like the heat of the Boomsday Project.
Thoughts?
I think that's not correct. According to how rotations went, it should be:
Year #1: The Curse of Naxxramas, Goblins vs Gnomes.
Year #2: Blackrock Mountain, The Grand Tournament, League of Explorers.
Year of the Kraken: Whispers of the Old Gods, One Night at Karazhan, Mean Streets of Gadgetzan.
I think it's understandable to combine year #1 and #2, but in any case, LoE belongs to the same year as BRM and TGT.

A Day at the Races has the same name as an old movie. It's its only saving grace, as 1 Mana Discover spells are even less original than Giants.
I'm between Jade Eater and Magnetite Shard. Thoughts?
Any feedback?
Both cards use Start of Game keyword (from Witchwood) and "If your deck has no duplicates" mechanic (from Mean Streets).
Which one do you like the most?
