Brrrrrains can be cool as a removal tool or heal or even a combo piece to transform your board to chows and then swap healing for dmg and OTK your opponent. But that Classic watermark kills me ...
Yeah, Little Flower Shops is pretty cute :)
I also like Demonic Brand, cool effect and good art+name to compliment the flavor.
Mad experimenter is a copy of Gnomish Experimenter so really not a fan of that one. I like crystallize soul though and little flower shops is a clever design!

GL to all! Lets crack 2019 open :)
I never understand how people can get so triggered over the watermarks. These are custom cards. They aren't part of any existing Hearthstone expansion, even if their flavour or theme happen to be similar to one, so they don't have to have a specific watermark. Now if for example a zombie themed card would have a Kobolds and Catacombs watermark, then your frustration would be totally understandable.
As for the entries, I really like Spirit Cleanser, Oakshaping and Crystallize Soul.

The problem here is that it is referencing Zombie Chow, which did not exist when the classic set came out. So, in my opinion, classic mark is worse than K&C watermark, in this case.

I get frustrated by it, cause in this specific competition, our non-written rule is, that ppl try to make cards that could pass as cards that could be in the game. And yes, every little detail matters. Obviously if a card has good idea behind it, it gets to finals even with flaws, and i do like Brrrrrains myself and i voted for it, but that doesnt mean i want to let these little details slide. I want to help those card creators to improve and help them create even better cards. Mby im being too pedantic, but thats just the way i am.
I know many ppl dont care about watermarks and you can clearly see it every week, but for me personally, it is kinda a big deal. It is not just a background picture, it is a symbol that says what kind of cards (mechanics) can you make considering the time period (set) you make it for, or if the flavor of the card was done right. Take for example when someone makes a card with Rush and there is a Classic watermark on it. Does that card make sense? No. There was no Rush mechanic in the Classic set and there still isnt. Obviously if the card is good otherwise, many ppl will overlook these small details, but i dont want ppl to overlook it, or rather i want ppl who design these cards to actually think about these little things and take them into consideration when they make their cards.
I know for some ppl this is too much extra work and they just want to make a fun card in 10 minutes and be done with it. And that is perfectly ok, you should do whatever makes you happy, but i will be there pointing things out to you, hoping you care and want your cards to be a bit better overall :) Thats all i guess.
Really nice to get a card in the final, especially since it's been so long since I've entered. I'm glad a few people like Spymaster Shaw, I figured it was a fun and reasonably skill-testing card, since you can potentially summon a big minion with it, but if you're too greedy then you run the risk of the condition never being met.
Crystallize Soul and Spirit Cleanser are definitely my favourites - they're really neat and simple, and the flavor is there. You could argue that potentially mana ramping as warlock is a bit weird, but I think it's done in a way that makes sense.

Yeah you make a good point. To be honest I often totally forget about the watermark when I'm making custom cards, but it is something I'd like to take into consideration more often. Personally when I'm really intrigued by an idea I have for a card I actually put a lot of time into making the card as good as possible, but it's often little things like the tribe or watermark that I still forget about. That said I still think the watermark is the least important aspect of a custom card. I think the main focus should be on how the card would impact Hearthstone's gameplay and how it fits a certain theme and flavour.
Thanks for your insight though and for politely answering my post. :)

That's Incredible!
Spirit Cleanser is probably the simplest card, yet the most creative in terms of design.
I'm not a fan of Sir Finley, since you may as well be playing with an autofilled deck. The only difference is that the class would be different.
Shaw has a very interesting effect, but it's so niche and specific that it sort of loses that interesting factor to me.
Even still, I highly commend all creators that made it to the final poll! Just know that I would never make it this far.
Spirit Cleanser wins it for me, so simple yet very effective.
Dad, husband, gamer, fueled by coffee.
Currently playing Dragon Galakrond Priest, Dragon Galakrond Warrior and Highlander Dragon Hunter.

I love the idea behind Little Flower Shop. It's adorable, it self explains its idea and it would likely see play too.
May your nets always be full! 🎣
Little Flower Shop and Sprit Cleanser are both well crafted and thought. GL to all!
