I feel that this competition kinda missed the point by not asking us to submit BOTH Spirit and a Loa.
Bwonsamdi and Hir'eek are both weak and nigh-useless without synergy provided by their Spirit, by submitting only one in this competition, we end up unable to come up with something truly unique, because there won't be any cards to support it.
It was absolutely under consideration, telling people to make both of them together. However, unfortunately, there were a couple of factors keeping us from pulling the trigger:
Such weeks in the past have been met with poor attendance, and/or poor reception. The added work is off-putting for more casual creators, I guess.
To go with the above we weren't sure how well-received it would have been, making you create two cards.
People are preparing for winter vacations and holidays, so they might not have the time for the additional effort.
RazorOfArtorias' original proposal was an OR, not an AND. Not that I'm shifting the blame; we just didn't think of it at the time, two weeks ago.
I drafted the threads while no one else was online to discuss the matter, half an hour before it was Go Time. I went against my desires and picked the safe route, to avoid controversy (RIP that idea).
*shrugs* I would repeat what I said last week, regarding the Overkill theme: people need to keep an open mind when they head to the Submission thread for voting. You have to assume there's a Spirit card supporting the person's Loa, and vice-versa. Given a second chance I absolutely would have gone for it.
...over the past few weeks as a moderator, I've been full up on disappointing explanations, excuses, and apologies. It's depressing :/
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
Gral's flavor is that he's so fearsome, he scares your minions back into your hand. Works nicely with his Spirit, makes Battlecry minions priority targets, and could enable some dank Edwin plays. The Mage Spirit is pretty low-hanging fruit, but sometimes people go for that. I know that the actual animal is the dragonhawk, but I didn't find any art I liked. Wind serpent is kinda similar and even has its own Loa, and this artwork is sorta spirit-like, so... yeah.
With the way Rogue is, someone will surely find a way to make a Gral + Spectral Pillager OTK... perhaps finally make that card useful for something. Compared to Grumble, Worldshaker, it doesn't look like it would break the game. In Rouge though, pretty much anything can happen. I'm not too worried about it though.
I look at Spirit of the Wind Serpent and I remember this I made in my Year of the Dragon:
Actually, I guess the entire Spirit type is like that Shrine mechanic I tried to make. So, I quite like Spirit of the Wind Serpent. Normally I would tell you that simple cards usually don't get too good of scores, but the previous competition has proved otherwise.

The first Krag'wa plays with the Toad theming by turning EVERYTHING into a toad. Similar to Sunkeeper Tarim, the transformation can be either a buff or a debuff. Buff your Totems whilst neutralizing a board full of Shudderwocks or some other high-profile target. Flavor tidbit: The stats are equal to double the Attack and Health of the Toad tokens created by Rain of Toads (which is the same token Krag'wa transforms minions into.
The second Krag'wa is different in flavor. It eats the minions, then they can climb back out when Krag'wa dies. It's a huge Moat Lurker for the whole board, but I like the flavor of the first one more.
EDIT: I just noticed the first one should say "Toads" instead of "Frogs".
Thanks for the feedback! I really like how the second Krag'wa's flavor matches the art, though I don't like the potential Silence/bounce shenanigans. The first version is solid, though. My only concern is that people might be salty about Tarim and dislike your card by association.

There’s also the overlooked issue of finding proper art for both the Loa AND a Spirit. Proper Spirit art is almost impossible to find, and it’d take away from the freedom and flexibility of this theme. I personally think you’ve made the right call, as I wouldn’t have even joined this one if you had to design both.
Not a perfect image, but you should be able to cut out the unnecessary stuff
@TheProgenitor thanks for feedback, but I find the “interactive” argument very null when it comes to Loa. This is a game ender, it’s supposed to be uninteractive (see Hir’eek, Bwomsamdi). The interaction is supposed to be in the middle of the game

i don't agree with sethraliss being a beast as she is humanoid but if the rules say she has to be then fine.
Yeah, Sethraliss is not a Beast, and I'm concerned that migh affect your result. Why don't you go with Sseratus, who is also a Snake and is an actual Beast?

Both versions are neat; much better than my attempt on Krag'wa, that's for sure. I personally prefer the second one, although 6/7 might be too strong for such crazy effect.
My first attempts, featuring synergy with Savage Striker and a (possibly futile) attempt to make Even Druid a thing. Before anyone points it out, I'm aware that I forgot the "beast" tag on Gonk. That will be fixed if people think it's good enough to submit.
I will be giving feedback on other people's cards, but here in the UK it's far too late at night for me to do that now. I'll go through the thread properly tomorrow.
Gonk, the Raptor is definitively my favourite of the two, very solid card with a good Loa feel. "Raptors" should be capitalized, but good card nonetheless.
I don't really like Spirit of the Raptor, however. Unless your opponent has a way to kill a 3 Health stealthed minion, it essentially gives your Hero Power +2 Attack, and you can run two of those! That's 5 Attack after you've played both! It should cost at least 4 Mana, IMO. Plus, the text is a bit cluttered.
Reworked my Shaman and Druid Loas! Now everyone is a real Loa, even if they're not the same as the expansion's official choice:
As before, Shadra is pushing a control-based Even Hunter, maximizing the potential of the cheaper Hero Power shots. I still believe she could be okay at 6-mana, as long as I keep her stats low.
Like the Kodo from before Gonk is encouraging a "Feral" Odd Druid, using cards like Claw and the Dire Shapeshift power to boost his Attack. He is a play on Bolvar Fordragon's effect, keeping in mind that both versions the original Bolvar is quite bad.
Mam'toth is a Giant Mastodon + Voodoo Hexxer, with the final addition of destroying Frozen minions each round. Obviously goes into a Freeze Shaman, controlling the board with Freeze before Mam'toth stomps on the icicles to shatter them. You can even combo Frost Shock on turn 10 for an immediate proc of the effect.
I think their respective flavor is fairly obvious, although I do have to credit Zardoz for the hidden Mam'toth-Moorabi lore connection :) Edit: I know that's not what Gonk looks like (he's a reddish raptor with Zandalari armor), but I couldn't find appropriate art... Thanks to DestroyerR for locating the right art :D
All are really cool, although my favourite is still Shandra, the Spider. I agree with you that 6-7 mana would not be too strong, especially considering Vilespine Slayer is a card.
Gonk, the Raptor is also nice, but it feels weird to have a Windfury minion that is neither a Shaman or Neutral.

About Spirit of the Wind Serpent... meh. Too obvious, IMO. You could get away with calling it Spirit of the Dragonhawk if you want, however.

We already know the name of each loa, that make me feel weird when I read your cards names :c
That said: "and have poisonous" should be better since poissonous never killed heroes. Raptor is a cool idea, can potentialy be broken in adapted deck. But hey, adapted deck would be average so not that bad to have a broken card in it, i like this raptor. I don't like the mammoth, does not seems fun, freeze is dead, seems too slow, not usefull, meh sorry :c
A lot of Loa I see here (and a few in submission thread) are very strong by themselves without needing any synergy. I feels this is just wrong and goes against the theme of Loa in general.
Loa gain in strength and power the more worshipers, offerings, idols and sacrifices they receive. On the other hand, Loa without worshippers are really, really weak. What this means in HS is that, without a proper deck to provide synergy (ala the worshippers and offering), a Loa by all means should be weak.
Just look at the three already revealed Loa, Tiger is unplayable without heavy spells in deck; Bat is a 8 mana fill board with 1/1 without hand buffs; Bwonsamdi is a vanilla 7/7 without his spirit.
Loa should not be strong by themselves and can be put into any deck like Deathstalker Rexxar. If you’re making a Loa that makes people go “Woah, I want to put it in my deck right now.”, instead of “Woah, I want to build a deck around it right now.” You are doing it wrong.

did you guys consider making it optional? such as allowing people to create the set of cards but only require one card.
Alright. Even though a few people seem to like the second version better, I'm going to submit the first version because it fits better with the way Loas are designed, as The_Edel_Bernal pointed out.

Fair to say about the Windfury, but at the same time, Stealth + Priest, Stealth + Paladin, and Stealth + Mage are pretty weird too :P Personally, I'm surprised Windfury in Druid hasn't happened sooner: seems like a natural fit to me, attacking with two claws. Regardless, I think I'm gonna stick with Shadra.

It's true that I'm using different Loas (minus Gonk), but the idea is that we get to reinterpret the official Loas or submit our own "team". Regarding Shadra and "Poisonous to them", Deadly Spore from Dungeon Run is where I'm getting my phrasing. I definitely agree with the remarks about the Mammoth: he feels super forced.
did you guys consider making it optional? such as allowing people to create the set of cards but only require one card.
I mean, it technically already is an option: you can make both if you want, but may only submit one. If people were allowed to submit one or both as desired, that would have been unfair to both parties: the people who make two cards have twice as many opportunities to gain someone's vote, if one (or both) of their cards appeals to the voter. Conversely, they also have twice as many opportunities to lose someone's vote, for similar reasons.
In general, the people who submit two cards would be more likely to proceed to the finals, as an inherent, unconscious bias would exist to reward those who put in the extra work. However, those who do put in the additional effort but lose to people who submit just the one might feel slighted or resentful.
We're not going to be able to please everyone in this situation, but trying to do both simultaneously is bound to create a "worst of both worlds" combination of problems and controversy :/

Reciprocating feedback; apologies for not doing so sooner. I practically skipped right over pages 2 and 3.
I really like your card: everything seems fine, and it fits perfectly with the rhino flavor. However, my main concern is the significant overlap it has with Darius Crowley. If he was an old card I wouldn't be bothered by the similarities, but Akali and Darius exist within the same Year. Producing what is arguably a much better version of Darius only two expansions later seems wrong to me.
Edit: Saw that you submitted already. Sorry I'm late :/

A Frog Shaman sounds awesome to me. Practically a Taunt Shaman of sorts.
I like Kragwa A LOT. Mass-hex was obvious design for the "frog loa", but actually making the tokens the new 2/4 frogs instead of 0/1 frogs is amazing, since it removes the problem with making your opponents board locked down. Love it!
The Spirit i dont like as much. But the art is pretty awesome.

Does anyone have all the images from all the loas/spirits? I could swear I saw an imgur album with all of then but I can"t find it
I've just been going here to get all my Loa and Champions images. It's where I got my art for Wardruid Loti last competition as well. Unfortunately it doesn't load every image, at least on my end.

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!

I've just been going here to get all my Loa and Champions images. It's where I got my art for Wardruid Loti last competition as well. Unfortunately it doesn't load every image, at least on my end.
