What do you guys think about these effects? Have I priced the mana right?
I tried to stick with the themes of each class, I'd want any overkill card to match this set, since I doubt we see Overkill again. So I let the artwork guide me, since there isn't much for trolls or dinos. Hir'eek's Pup is probably the weirdest. I'm assuming we'll see a few different ways for warlock to handbuff. This is kind of a grim patron+doubling imp in a single card. I kinda want to make Burning Magi into a shaman card, but it looks like they're going with a frog theme for shaman. Dinostrike is an agro card for spellhunter, kinda similar to the old Quick Shot.
I'm not entirely sure about it, but it seems that Overkill only triggers on your turn. So if the idea behind Avatar of Sethraliss is that a small enemy attacks into it, and the Avatar's overkill trigers and it dies- I'm not sure it works like that.
Cards like Bran, Spiritsinger Umbra, Baron Riverdare- these meta keyword cards- they only work when there are lots of that keyword in the game. How many overkill cards will we get? 10 to 20? It's not a card with much of a future.
I know we all hate Druid, but this idea was just too perfect and I had to do it. I think Savage Striker is evident enough that we'll have a hero attack theme for Druid, so I made this.
Possibly allows cards like Gnash and Bite to see more play.

Considering my own attempts to make Feral Druid a thing, here in the WCDC and in my Year of the Kodo, I approve of this card. I could easily see this being their non-Loa Legendary
...especially compared to my own, poorly phrased card :/
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!

I made this cards before the theme was even announced :_D I don't think any of them is good enough, though.
Stranglethorn Parasite is my favorite of the three, though it seems the minion-summoning-itself idea is being thrown around a lot. Big Bad Voodoo is weird because it looks like the copies will still cost the original amount despite being 1/1, and Chain Lightning is just worse Grievous Bite.
I hoped people would wait until we have more overkill cards revealed, but this topic was inevitable.
Boardclears now hit face. No longer should [sic] you feel bad for fireballing something with 2 hp.
I hoped so too, but at least now we have the potential to predict cards. It could be fun to compare our approach to the keyword to Blizz's. As for your card, she's alright, though I would make her Health-heavy so the effect has a chance of being more than a one-turn thing. Idk if people will go for it though. It just promotes more going face, and Explosive Runes, as I understand, isn't the most well-liked card.
I'm not happy with the phrasing, but this is a rough idea of what I'm trying to make:
Ideally it's supposed to create the Druid-equivalent of Kingsbane decks, where you use cards like Claw, Bite, and Savage Combatant to turn the hero itself into a deadly force. The more times you Overkill minions, the stronger you become as the Nightmare takes hold of you and drives you crazy. Could be an Odd or Even deck as well - depending on how I cost the minion - for the empowered Hero Power.
It should remind you of The Scarecrow fight from Monster Hunt, with his Scythe weapon. A slow growth into a terrifying juggernaut, but the Druid has to use his face to do so and he can really only go up one point at a time.
I appreciate the attempt to push Feral Druid, but the card seems pretty swingy. It could potentially snowball hard, but it's also very dependent on draw order and, assuming no additional support, would require you to put bad cards in your deck just to pull it off (DK's will have rotated out). Also, the wording implies that you'd have the Attack during your opponent's turn as well, which would make this even more oppressive.
Vol'jin is hard to evaluate without knowing the whole set, though as Zardoz said, we likely won't get a ton of Overkilll cards. I would make him Epic because of that, filling a similar role as Deathaxe Punisher. Also, the wording is a little odd; maybe just "Your Overkill effects always activate" would be better. Avatar of Sethraliss is interesting, though the art is no good, and it reminds me too much of Totem Golem.
Here're some other ideas [sic], plus a reworded version of Sadist Witchdoctor
Explosive Combustion has good flavor. It may be a little strong because of the versatility - it's good against both wide and tall boards - though that also makes it interesting. Also, I think it uses the same art as Fireball. Idk if this was intentional, but the Witchdoctor would also trigger if your own minions were Overkilled, which puts your opponent in a bad place. Trading feels bad because they have a good chance of healing you, but going face feels bad too if it's the wrong play. Barring that, it's good.

Yeah...I think Demon pulled off what I wanted better than I did.
I'm struggling to come up with cool things to do with Overkill; that was my one and only idea :/

Actually, Pup is the more interesting one. My guess is that it's cost is alright, though that depends on what handbuffs Warlock gets this expansion. But, judging from what we've seen so far, it looks good to me.

Burning Magi - While the flavor is good, I think this card is just too swingy for my taste, seeing that you can get anything from a 8/8 to 1/2.
Hir'eek's Pup - The card has weird wording. Summon a "Copy" of this minion implies that, if this minion has 0 or below Health (Which is quite likely after it trades), the copy it summons will have have 0 or below Health, killing it instantly. Stranglethorn Parasite from Wailor earlier is a better way of wording this ability, assuming that's what you intended in first place.
Dinostrike - I actually quite like this card seeing that if you want to trigger the Overkill, you cannot use it on the enemy hero. It's a good balance of board control and face damage, my favourite of the three.
Yes, Dark Gambit heals if it Overkills your hero. It assumes that Overkill triggers before deaths are resolved, else you'd just lose before the heal can come in. The idea behind Excessive Roughness is that you went too far and "fouled" the opponent, so you have to pay a penalty. Killing little gnome girls is uncool. Smith's Hammer is just an anti-aggro card, cause nobody likes aggro. I'm unsure about the balance of all three, but any feedback would be appreciated.
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."
Necromaster Brigand could combine with the Skeleton-generators like Bone Baron for a different take on Quest Rogue, and/or provide additional token fuel for Pirates.

I have nothing against Dinostrike, per se; I actually like the card the most of the three. However, I also think it could be seen as having unnecessary overlap with Baited Arrow. The Hunter already received an Overkill damage spell, you know? It seems like...well, overkill to give them another one. I wonder if that would hurt people's perception of Dinostrike. It's still a cool card, regardless.
Beyond that, Burning Magi is super-swingy, and the Pup in the right conditions can provide a crazy amount of value for 2-mana. Especially if you empower it with buffs from Soul Infusion and the upcoming Warlock cards; a 4/4 that creates new 4/4s (or better), for 2-mana. Well, 3-mana, but you get it.
6/6/3 is a very discouraging stat-line; honestly, I think you might be better off dropping the cost and converting it into a spell. Considering how fragile the minion is, people would play Necrophage specifically for the effect and write off the 6/3 as bait for a minor trade. Personally, I'd rather have the excess mana for something else, and just cut out the middle-man.
Yes, Dark Gambit heals if it Overkills your hero. It assumes that Overkill triggers before deaths are resolved, else you'd just lose before the heal can come in. The Overkill of Dark Gambit should save you...I think. IIRC when you're killed by damage and healed by Lifesteal or other effects simultaneously, your death does not trigger. If that's not how it works, well...we can pretend for today haha. I really like the idea.
I totally got Excessive Roughness and found it amusing :) That said, people who don't care about physical sports won't care for the wordplay, so that could hurt you.
I like Inspiring Champion because he encourages a deck built around buffs; it's the only wait to trigger the Overkill, after all. I'm seemingly one of the few people who actually likes The Last Kaleidosaur, Lynessa Sunsorrow, and Shirvallah, the Tiger, so I approve.
Fatecleaver is a special Arena-only card in-part because the effect is crazy good in the right circumstances. Bringing the effect into constructed seems dangerous.
If Victory rush isn't a warrior overkill spell i'll be sad. It would fit the theme perfectly.
Victory Rush is technically a worse version of Tidal Surge. I know they're for different classes, but still.
I think Bwomsamdi is good, and appropriate for the class. It might just be my tired brain, but I initially read Bwomsamdi as resummoning the killed minion for the enemy, which would be terrible. Maybe add a "for yourself" at the end, just to be 100% clear?
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!

Three different ideas. Seismic Stomp is simply a good overload clear. Gurubashi War mage is odd mage support that can snowball your hero power into really good removal. Floating ember is a flavor card that requires spell damage support and is probably a bit too weak right now.
Lemme know what you think and I'll return the gesture!
Revisiting an old idea that now works with the Overkill keyword:
Overkill is such a strange keyword. There are a handful of times where adding Overkill to a card actually makes the text longer.
I know we all hate Druid, but this idea was just too perfect and I had to do it. I think Savage Striker is evident enough that we'll have a hero attack theme for Druid, so I made this.
Possibly allows cards like Gnash and Bite to see more play.
Wardruid Loti would definitively be my favourite of the bunch... if it was not so similar to Sul'thraze.
Out of the other two cards, I prefer Piercing Shot, although you may want to change the class, because Hunter already has an Overkill 5 Mana spell (Bait Shot).
Well, I guess everyone expected this one. Thoughts?
Here're some othe idea, plus a reworded version of Sadist Witchdoctor
Explosive Combustion is way too strong. I mean, Avenging Wrath deals 8 damage and doesn't have the capability to kill big minions. I'd reduce the damage to 7 or 8.
Combusting Blast is also a bit too strong. It is a recurring Frostbolt that can also serve as board clear under certain conditions, specially with Sorcerer's Apprentice. I think the copies should leave your hand at the end of your turn (similar to Echo or Unstable Evolution.
About the other cards, Sadist Witchdoctor is bland, and a card similar to Searing Felfire already won a competition.
I'm not happy with the phrasing, but this is a rough idea of what I'm trying to make:

It took a disheartening amount of time to come up with additional ideas:
Necromaster Brigand could combine with the Skeleton-generators like Bone Baron for a different take on Quest Rogue, and/or provide additional token fuel for Pirates.
First of all, your cards have a small "issue": Overkill is probably a Rastakhan Rumble only mechanic, and all your cards are from other expansions.
Out of them, I'd say Xavius, Nightmare Lord is my favourite, but such an ongoing effect might be broken, and I'm not sure people will like such a complex card. Also, he should be a Demon.
Feedback Blast has also a cool effect, but I find it very lacking in terms of flavour.
Sadly, Overkill only applies to minions. It's a shame, because Dark Gambit is amazingly cool.
Excessive Roughness is very funny, and the art is perfect. Its effect is also interesting. I'd go with it.
If Victory rush isn't a warrior overkill spell i'll be sad. It would fit the theme perfectly.
Healing seems out of place for a Warrior. Maybe change the healing for armor?
Bwomswandi is very strong when you compare it to Mind Control. Yes, it's conditional, but costs 2 less and has a pretty big body attached to it. Reduce his attack or increase the cost.
